New stuff

CBR one-shot finally came out! And Jason Badower wrote on his blog about his set visit last Friday to the Heroes lot. Lots of good reading and a few spoilers. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:20, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

  • Thanks for keeping me in the loop and letting me know of good updates. I'll go check them both out now... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:16, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

Peter Steigerweld

Ryan, it's 12, not 10. You know what I mean. I'm refraining from saying more for those avoiding spoilers. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:39, 3 July 2008 (EDT)

New York

Hey Ryan, I'm heading out to Times Square in New York for a few days in a couple of weeks, so if any articles on the wiki need images or info from there, I could get some? Just thought I'd suggest it to you in case you thought we needed anything. -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 12:10, 4 July 2008 (EDT)

GNs

J. Levy

Any guesses as to whom J. Levy is? In the Behind the Scenes video, J. is listed along with Yule Caise on the clapper used for beginning film sequences. I would think maybe the cinematographer. Do you know?--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:35, 12 July 2008 (EDT)

Interviews

I have already got my first 1!!!!! Its the Convenience store robber from season 1, I just need to think of some questions now lol. --Skywalkerrbf 11:39, 14 July 2008 (EDT)

  • Congratulations! ... Yeah, thinking of enough content for the interview is the trouble with interviewing actors who play smalller roles. But getting the actors who play bigger roles is sometimes challenging because they're not as available. *sigh* One idea I had for later on after the summer is to email a few questions to lots of the actors who play minor roles (I have had email exchanges with somewhere between 20 and 40, I think) and see what they have to say, and then compiling all their responses in one interview. It would eliminate the need to come up with enough questions to fill an interview (without sounding like I'm stretching), and it would be an interesting read because it would have lots of different perspectives. Hmmm... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:10, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
  • I got two more! Captain Baldwin and Lynette from the burnt toast diner. Lol this realy excites me! Yer I have done somthing similar. I plan to intervierview guest stars and work up, but i also think that the guest stars have some good things to say! I have a template for the interviews so the questions will be very similar for everyone. --Skywalkerrbf 16:28, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
    • No, I don't plan to have a bunch of interviews with guest stars, I plan to send a few questions to bunch of guest stars and compile them into one interview. Oh well. Congrats on scoring some interviews. Sally Champlin and I have exchanged a number of emails, and she asked me to do some work for her. Tell her I say hello! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:56, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
  • Yer shes realy nice, she seemed very keen. But lets say I just got someone a bit better than a guest star, lets just say hes a Supporting guy with a power, but I'll mkae it a suprize for you :). I also got my first rejection form Markus Flanagan but hey the other guy is off the hook! --Skywalkerrbf 03:08, 15 July 2008 (EDT)
  • Have you thought about a second interview with James Kyson Lee? I will get in contact with him if you don't want to but I think a phone interview will be better :) I do have 6 defo interviews! --Skywalkerrbf 18:17, 15 July 2008 (EDT)
    • No, I haven't thought about doing another interview with JKL. I personally don't see any point. Nice job on getting other interviews. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:20, 17 July 2008 (EDT)
  • Hey, I have got interview with Yule Caise, who has written a graphic novel along with directing the webisdoes and sordsaint documentry, i thought you might be intrersted in submitting some questions? --Skywalkerrbf 07:17, 19 July 2008 (EDT)
    • Thanks. If I think of any and if I get a free moment, I'll certainly add some questions... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:16, 21 July 2008 (EDT)
      • Thanks. By the qay you have really helped me on this website, thanks a lot. I am now up to 20 people agreeing to interviews and I couldn't of done it without you. I have people from just about every role there is and I hope that it will improve the site and keep people enertained over the summer. --Skywalkerrbf 14:41, 21 July 2008 (EDT)

kilohoku.com transcripts

Hi Ryan, do you have the contact info. for the maintainer of the kilohoku.com transcripts? The domain registration expired, so now the website is unaccessible. We're having a discussion regarding "posthuman" vs. "evolved human" on Talk:List of evolved humans, where it would be helpful to have access to the transcripts. Maybe you still have them offline and can add your input?--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:49, 27 July 2008 (EDT)

  • I do have contact info for the kilohoku transcriber. I also have all the transcripts from season one and two. What exactly do you want to know? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:08, 30 July 2008 (EDT)
    • Cool! Can you contact the transcriber and let him/her know the domain registration has expired? I'm trying to find out if the term "evolved human" has been mentioned in one of the episodes. Since we now have "posthuman" in one of the assignment tracker entries, there is discussion as to whether we should rename the category and related pages to use the new term "posthuman" instead.--MiamiVolts (talk) 07:04, 31 July 2008 (EDT)
      • I'll do some searching through my transcripts when I get home from camp this weekend. Miami, if you don't mind, send me an email to remind me. Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:21, 31 July 2008 (EDT)
        • Ok, I've sent one just now. Will re-send it this weekend as a reminder.--MiamiVolts (talk) 10:48, 31 July 2008 (EDT)
  • I've searched the transcripts for Seasons One and Two. The word "posthuman" was never used, nor was the term "evolved human", though Mohinder talks extensively about humans and evolution together (Genesis). Assignment tracker files use the term "posthuman", but also refer to "evolutionary anomaly class". I think this is a case of two near canon sources both using similar terms. Neither is ranked above the other, and one does not negate the other. There is no reason the two can't coexist. Six of one, half-dozen of the other. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:47, 2 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Thanks, Ryan. So do you want to add in your two cents about how they should co-exist, and perhaps how to include both in the cat name (are you suggesting using "evolved posthumans"???), to Talk:List of evolved humans#Posthuman?--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:40, 2 August 2008 (EDT)

Copple of bits

I just sent you a email if you wouldn't mind reading it :). Also my questions for Yule Caise will have to be sent soon as as he has written two graphics novels I thought I would give you some time to have a look. I was ment to be back yesterday but my plane was delayed for 23 hours, so I am delaying the question submittion for a little bit. --Skywalkerrbf 09:38, 10 August 2008 (EDT)

  • I responded to your email...Let me think about the questions for Yule Caise a bit...Camp just ended today, and my brain is a bit fried... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:35, 11 August 2008 (EDT)

New Interview

Sorry to tread on your toes, but Peter Steigerwald has agreed to a interview and as you probably know he is involved with graphic novels. I will hand over the interview to you if you wish or I am happy to do it my self. --Skywalkerrbf 16:06, 11 August 2008 (EDT)

Hey

Hey Ryan, good to have you back :) How was camp? -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 16:37, 11 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Fantastic and amazing, thanks for asking! It's good to be home, though... :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:46, 11 August 2008 (EDT)
    • I bet, must be pretty exhausting work! -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 17:48, 11 August 2008 (EDT)

Squishing Images

In response to your recent changes note about squishing images, I thought that all images had to adhere to the standard image sizes given? I presume that's what HiroDynoSlayer thought as well when he uploaded it... -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 15:23, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

  • The standard size for image files only applies mainly to images being used in portals and infoboxes. If we can make images in galleries also match that size, that's terrific--but we should never do so at the expense of the quality of the image. Squishing images is never a good idea. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:27, 12 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Okay, thanks for clearing that up :) -- Friskymuffin - (talk) 15:32, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

Manon Dave

Hi, Ryangibsonstewart! Below is a message copied from Friskymuffin's talk page, as I saw you had contributed to the article in question. Let me know what you think.

Hello, Friskymuffin. I am a Wikipedia editor who while recently doing a little research noted an article that you created here. The article in question is Manon Dave, who the article credits as the Season 2 Composer for Heroes. The correct composer credits for the series are Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoin- Manon Dave appears to be a musician on Myspace attempting to pad his resume by falsifying articles on sites with user-submitted content. If you would like to correct the information and/or delete the page, or alternately if you can find any corroborating information to show that Manon Dave is indeed associated with the show, please let me know, as it means that I would be in error. Thank you for your time! —SRadnan121 15:30, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

Thank you, --SRadnan121 15:44, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Thanks, that's good information. I'll add a nomination for deletion on the page. I can't remember where I originally found the information about Manon Dave, but I usually archive my research a little bit on the talk pages. It appears that all the websites I found do indeed appear to be user-contributed websites. It's interesting to note that Memory Alpha and IMDb also deleted information about him. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:54, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

My Idea

I posted a idea on the main page talk yesterday, would you mind having a look?

The Post Show

Are you going ot be on it this year?--Skywalkerrbf 15:01, 15 August 2008 (EDT)

Contacting Evolutions

Do you know how I can contact the evolutions staff to get my name removed from the map? I emailed but I got no results. Could you please respond ASAP, I really want it off. Therequiembellishere 22:51, 16 August 2008 (EDT)

  • No, I don't know how to get your name off the map per se, but I can contact Joe Tolerico and see what he can do about it. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:20, 16 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Should I send you the information that I want him to delete via email? (What is your email, btw?) Therequiembellishere 23:24, 16 August 2008 (EDT)

Any response? Therequiembellishere 14:11, 23 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Yes. Joe replied that same day and said he would look into it. Send me a reminder email on Monday and I'll forward that on to Joe. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:36, 23 August 2008 (EDT)

6th Grade

Congrats on the new job as a sixth grade teacher. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:14, 17 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Thanks, Miami. I'm psyched about the new grade, but what I'm really excited for is the new school district and the much-improved commute! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:27, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Is sixth still primary school there, or is it junior high? Therequiembellishere 23:59, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
      • Depends on the school district, but at the school district I work in (and in most school districts I've seen) it's still elementary school. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:07, 18 August 2008 (EDT)
        • Well, now you're leading the top of the pillar, good luck! Therequiembellishere 02:18, 18 August 2008 (EDT)

What's Up?

Hi Ryan, Just testing the talk feature here and wanted to say hi.

Still learning my way around the site. You guys do a great job!!

The ODI 14:23, 18 August 2008 (EDT)

Big Interview News

I have just about got a interview with Jimmy Jean-Louis! The only problem is he wants to do it over the phone. I live in the UK but I am willing to ring him, I was just wondering how you recorded you interviews, Thanks. --Skywalkerrbf 17:19, 19 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Congratulations! I use freeconferencecall.com. I used it when I interviewed Jason Badower, so I know it can be accessed from outside the United States. It costs whatever it costs you to call a long distance number to the U.S., and it would cost Jimmy the same. It's a really easy service to use, very user-friendly, and you can download a digital file of the conversation when you're done. The most difficult part is transcribing the interview in the end--what a pain! I suggest testing it out first... Let me know if you need more info. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:34, 19 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Thanks a lot. If Jimmy doesn't want to pay then would you mind doing it for me? I hope he won't as I am a huge fan of his but I need a backup plan :). --Skywalkerrbf 17:41, 19 August 2008 (EDT)
      • He would only have to pay the cost of a long distance phone call. If he doesn't want to make that call, you're kinda stuck. I suppose you could call him and hold up a tape recorder to the phone :) but I don't know of any other free services. I would gladly do the interview for you, but I think you're very capable and I have a feeling it will work out just fine. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:56, 19 August 2008 (EDT)

Company Agents

I've created articles for all of the Company agents listed in the map, albeit, without pictures. Therequiembellishere 02:42, 20 August 2008 (EDT)

Evs Dropper's Blog

Well, I *was* working on the page, but you beat me to saving a first draft, so I'll let you finish before I make changes. I think the name should be Blog, not blog, cause the page itself uses "Blog" capitalized for the title so it's a proper name. I also think Image:Evsdropr's Blog.jpg should be in the infobox and Image:Evs Dropper's blog.jpg be in the gallery with a note about the UPC translation of the barcode.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:54, 21 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Oh, sorry if I stepped on any toes--it was a pretty easy article to write since it's mostly just copying and pasting blog entries. Hiro's blog is listed with a capital B also, but that doesn't mean that we capitalize it. "Blog" is not a proper name, so it doesn't fit the naming conventions for article names. I don't really care what image is used for the infobox, I just personally can't stand the screenshots of the entire website page and avoid them if I can...but that's just me. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:01, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
    • According to Help:Style, titles of works should be capitalized as by their authors when the capitalization differs from the standard rules. That's what I was going by, and would also apply to Hiro's Blog assuming we are considering the Evolution websites as "works". I personally prefer the entire website page screenshot for this article, as the page doesn't appear to have one main logo. However, if we're going to use an icon for the blog, wouldn't it be better to use the question mark symbol that represents Evsdropr (see here for a big image of it)?--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:26, 21 August 2008 (EDT)
      • I think a question mark is a silly image to use, personally. To each his own, I guess. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:38, 21 August 2008 (EDT)

Do you know the people at

DO you know the people at www.the-owi.com and www.herosite.net? the-owi has got interviews with Tim Kring, Matthew John Armstrong and Malcolm McDowell, all of who I would like to do interviews with. www.herosite.net has got Christopher Eccleston and Missy Peregrym who I would also like to do interviews with. I was wondering if you could ask them where they got their contact details from/how they got the interviews. Thanks. --Skywalkerrbf 13:09, 23 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Yes, I know them both. Dave at the OWI often scores some great interviews, though he doesn't get a whole lot of traffic. That's one of the reasons we published his interview with Tim Kring at Heroes Wiki. Craig at herosite has a lot of really good inside connections--he actually helped design 9thwonders.com. I wouldn't feel comfortable pimping them for contact information, though, as that's just not something I feel comfortable doing. Also, a lot of those interviews are really terrific, and I'd be afraid of treading on territory that's already been trod. I mean, multiple interviews are fine for some actors, but I'd just be careful about targeting people simply because other people have already interviewed them. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:18, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Ok. And by the way I was only trying to contact them as there are a few people I can not contact and they are some of them, its just a bit painful not being able to contact people, as most of the people I contact say yes. --Skywalkerrbf 13:21, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
      • No worries. I think you're doing a great job with scoring interviews. I'm just advising that you exercise a bit of caution, that's all. Good luck! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:22, 23 August 2008 (EDT)

New Interview (2)

I have a interview with Adair Tishler(Molly), would you mind advertising it along the top?--Skywalkerrbf 17:56, 23 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Sure. When is your interview with JJL scheduled? In other words, can I remove that one and just advertise one interview at a time? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:07, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Hmmm its for the 1st of September so mayby give this one another day or two? I'm not sure when Mr Jean-Louis wants to do the interview, but I think another day or two will do being advertised. --Skywalkerrbf 18:10, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
      • Oh, I already changed it. You've got a nice list of questions, so let's go ahead and begin advertising the new one. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:18, 23 August 2008 (EDT)

Schucks!

I just noticed that, soon after I made my release order page, you preferred mine over yours. I'm flattered! --SacValleyDweller (talk) 01:38, 24 August 2008 (EDT)

  • No sense in us doing the same thing, especially if yours is more detailed... :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:26, 24 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Since you're using my page as well as me, if I haven't updated it yet, feel free to do so. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 00:41, 29 August 2008 (EDT)

Assignment tracker map

Therequiembellishere has posted for everyone, not just the people on the map, this needs to be undone. --Skywalkerrbf 14:13, 24 August 2008 (EDT)

  • Right--though it doesn't matter too much if we have extra pictures, the portraits on the article page should probably just be for those who have pictures in their tips on the actual map. That, and if any of the pictures we have are different than the pictures on the real map, it'd be cool if we got the original pictures, or something close to it (though I find it interesting that NBC used a lot of our pictures, including some of our doctored pictures!)... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:17, 24 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Can't we just replace them when we get a more official picture? (And I especially like the picture of Tom Drake they used!) Therequiembellishere 14:35, 24 August 2008 (EDT)
      • I can't pull up the map right now, so I don't know what picture they've chosen of TD. As far as what pictures should or shouldn't be used, that's really more of an issue that should be discussed at Talk:Assignment tracker map, not decided by me or by other users on user talk pages. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:51, 24 August 2008 (EDT)

Huge News

Me and Lost Soul (mainly lost Soul) have secured a interview of our choice every month! Check out Lost Soul's talk page for more info. --Skywalkerrbf 13:37, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

  • That's great news! Let me know if you need any help. By the way, Kristy Chan has a character named after her--a cheerleader at Union Wells. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:07, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Yes I discovered that too when I searched for her. We have agreed that the three I am asking for are Masi, Hayden and Milo. My back ups would be Sendhil Ramamurthy, Greg Grunberg and I know its a bit of a push but Malcolm McDowell. LS's are Christine, Zachary and Tim and his backups are Jack Coleman,Brea Grant, and David Anders. LS has gone for the night but when he's back we need to decide who will go first then we will be on our way for our first NBC organised interview. If you have any comments or suggestions please say them, you were the first person to do interviews after all. --Skywalkerrbf 18:11, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
      • I would let Admin know. His email is admin at heroeswiki dot com. Are the interviews over the phone or over email? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:14, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
        • I left him a message. I duno yet, I think email.--Skywalkerrbf 18:18, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

Interviews :)

  • Ryan, I just received this email.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining the following "Heroes" press conference call. Thanks!

Who: Zachary Quinto ("Sylar") and creator/executive producer Tim Kring of "Heroes"
When: Friday, September 5 @ 10 AM PST
Dial-In #: NUMBER REMOVED
Passcode: Ask for the Heroes conference call
Replay: A replay will be up 24/7 through October 5 and accessible by dialing NUMBER REMOVED
Transcript: A transcript will be available a few days after the call.

  • And I'm really freaking out. How amazing is this?!?! I've emailed my NBC contact to get some clarification, but this is an absolutely incredible opportunity for us as a site to be recognised. I'm going crazy right here, now. :)--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  04:07, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
    • I got this email too. --Skywalkerrbf 05:44, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
      • That's terrific, guys! Enjoy the conference call, and take good notes next week! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:44, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
        • Hehe, we don't need to take notes, because they're gonna provide a transcript for us. We're still working out with NBC the details behind what's happening - neither of us have done anything like this before - so we can't really make a plan. However, we'll definitely be accepting member submissions for questions. What should the page title be? Something like Interview:NBC Conference Call (Zachary Quinto and Tim Kring)? Thanks,--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  07:53, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
          • I know you haven't done anything like this before, that's why I'm telling you to take notes. There will be things that are said that are not in the transcript, and there will be impressions you will probably get that you won't remember when you receive the transcript. Take notes, especially about side comments and voice inflections--it should prove very helpful to you. It might not be added to the article, but your notes will definitely be of some benefit to others in the talk pages... Let's work on the title of the article after you get more details, but something like "Interview:NBC press conference call" should be fine. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:09, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
            • Yeah, good thinking. I understand. I will do my best to take notes - although I believe that NBC is going to provide the audio of the call (they're calling it a "replay"), so I guess anything I miss in my notes will be in there. Do you have any note-taking tips? Thanks,--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  08:17, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
              • I wouldn't count on an audio transcript--they don't usually do that, and I doubt they'll be starting this year. Take note on jokes that are made (I know it sounds silly, but humor in an interview is often the most revealing stuff) and the topics that people avoid. Also, note funny wordings and times when people cut themselves short. It'll also be interesting to see what things Tim or Zachary say but then get changed in the transcript--you can't really take notes on that, but be aware that it will happen. For a transcript of last year's press conference call, see here and here. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:21, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                  • Okay, I'll try and do that. I still can't really believed that our site has been invited to be part of it - I feel really honoured to be asked. And it's gonna be great. As soon as I find out more, I'll let you know. Thanks a lot for your help, Ryan!--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  08:29, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                    • Reading the transrpict really helped, thanks Ryan. Its interesting to look at the structure, they started off with kristen and then moved onto tim.--Skywalkerrbf 08:35, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                      • Ryan, we just got a response from Kristy. Apparently, there are gonna be about 50 reporters on the line, and questions are first come, first serve. She said that she reckons we'll get about 1 question, so it's gotta be a good one. What should we call the interview page, then?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  12:16, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                        • Interview:NBC press conference call. If we ever end up having more than one, we can add a date or a year the end later on. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:32, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                          • Actually, I'm not sure we need to have a page. I was thinking you'll want to have a place to submit questions, but I don't think we should publish the transcript of the call. It's not an exclusive interview, and we don't own any rights to it. If you're looking for a place for question submissions, you can do that on a talk page or at the community portal--or honestly, you can probably just come up with one or two questions of your own. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:18, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                          • Just FYI - First of all, congrats on the Conference Call!! I sat in on one of the LOST conf calls last season and basically just listened in and took notes. MOST of the top media outlets from LA/NY Times to Entertainment Weekly to local news sites are a part of the call and you have to push a button if you want to ask a question. If you hear your name then you ask the question. If you guys need any help let me know and I can try to help out. If not I look forward to the info and will definitely post it as soon as you all have it up. The ODI 14:54, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                            • Ryan, I understand your reasoning - but is there point in doing question submission if the answers won't be published? Plus, we're taking part on behalf of HW, so if we don't post the transcript, it just seems a bit pointless. You can bet that the other outlets will post at the very least portions of the interview. How about I ask NBC if we're okay to post the whole transcript? How would you feel about that?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  15:28, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                              • We're not a news outlet, we're a fan site. And when you are interviewing anybody, you are not interviewing on behalf of Heroes Wiki, you are a fan and a contributor to the site, and shouldn't say that you're a representative of Heroes Wiki of any kind. I think it's really awesome you and RBF are going to take part in the conference call, and I hope it's a terrific experience for you. I think that if you get the opportunity to ask one or two questions, that'd be an even bigger bonus--and if you want to ask some of the Heroes Wiki contributors for ideas of questions to ask, it couldn't hurt (though I think you're perfectly capable of coming up with one or two really knock-em-dead questions on your own). However, you need to realize that this is not an interview, it's a press conference. It's quite different... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:37, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                                • Okeydoke. I understand where you're coming from, and I respect what you say. As a compromise, would we be able to post a summary of what was said, somewhere on the site, maybe in the form of a blog entry that can be linked to from the community portal, or something else like that (I understand that my idea sucks majorly, but you get what I mean...)?--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  15:46, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
                                  • Without a doubt. In fact, I think you should put the exciting news on Heroes Wiki:Community Portal right away! As far as a blog entry, let's wait to see what comes of the event, and go from there. Maybe a subpage in your user namespace would be good...let's see what it looks like after the call takes place. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:49, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
  • Okay, well I posted something at the Community Portal. Speaking of blogs, that gave me an idea - how about a Heroes Wiki blog, to keep users both updated about the site and about stuff of interest within the world of Heroes? Good idea, bad idea, or idea-which-needs-work? ;) Thanks again for your support!--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  16:00, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
    • Don't need a blog, that's what the Community Portal and Current Events sections are for! :) (Admin 16:02, 28 August 2008 (EDT))
    • The idea has come up before. I'm not all that into it, but I don't think that I should make decisions on that kind of thing--it's more of a community decision. (L'État, c'est moi doesn't apply. :) ) Personally, I'm not opposed to the idea of blog, but I think we're much better off focusing ourselves as a wiki, but that's just me. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:06, 28 August 2008 (EDT)

Community Portal

I posted something on the Portal talk page about the conference call, opening it up for question submission. Could you please put it in the sitenotice, if that's ok? Thanks,--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  15:19, 31 August 2008 (EDT)
