Synopsis

Prisoner's Car

The escaped prisoner's car is notably a Nissan Rogue with a California license plate. It bears a striking resemblance to Claire's stolen car. A note should probably be made to this effect, both in the synopsis and on the Nissan Rogue page.--Paronine 22:41, 8 October 2007 (EDT)

      • It is undoubtedly Claire's car. However, we shouldn't jump to that conclusion quite yet.         • Thought of that. In Four Months Later, they only show the first digit (2), which does match. They don't show it at all in Lizards. However, JJ Philbin and Zach Quinto are very straightforward about the fact that it's Claire's car in the commentary. Sylar's Power Loss

I find it interesting that a healing Sylar is finding it difficult, if not impossible, to use or control the powers acquired previous to the injury at Kirby Plaza. Also, after seemingly acquiring "Candice's", he is unable to activate the power. I feel that there are 3 possible reasons for this. Either Sylar is still under an illusion of "Candice," who is not dead, the Haitian or another "power-cancelling" person is present, or he is simply too injured to have total faculties over his abilities. Hard to guess which it is, but I feel that Sylar's mind is still being fooled during his recovery. Also, which Company was "Candice" working with to help Sylar recover his powers? Most likely not THE Company for which Noah previously worked, and Bob apparently does now. My feeling is that "Candice" went rogue (NOT Nissan Rogue, just rogue) with others with powers and an evil penchant. --HandsOffMyPeter 07:27, 9 October 2007 (EDT)

How interesting is it that Kaito mentions there are 9 left, that his potential killer is one of them, then a Series of eight precog pictures turn up and ONE OF THEM IS BENNETT! could this mean that he could be one of the original company dudes that Kaito mentions? and does that also lead to the possibility that Thompson was 1 of the 12, as well as maybe Haram?   • Maybe. I've always thought Thompson must have something too (and my speculation suggests something to do with activating powers in other evolved humans given his proximity in quite a few cases).       • In addition, Thompson is dead, and there's no knowledge of this? Bennet didn't recognize Angela's voice over the phone in the finale, and if he was one of the originals, he wouldn't be taking orders from a peer (Kaito in Company Man).         • Far reach to assume that the man in the painting in the HRG's is not Noah. Both Mohinder and Noah's reactions to seeing the final painting discredit that assumption, aswell as the painting itself: Obviously Claire and a young man (pressumably West) embracing in the background, and the appearance of the deceased in the painting with a receeding hairline, and the exact same glasses which no one else has worn. Its a bummer that they finally gave in and pressumably gave Noah a power after claiming that they wouldn't, I kind of enjoyed him being the "normal" puppet master of those with powers. Even though they make him out to be a mysterious, creepy, know-it-all, I liked him in that role. --HandsOffMyPeter 16:29, 9 October 2007 (EDT)
          • What makes you think HRG has a power? Being murdered doesn't mean he has a power. Heck, even being murdered by the same killer as Kaito (which the painting doesn't necessarily indicate) doesn't mean he has a power. Even if HRG had said that the series of eight paintings shows the deaths of the eight remaining founders of the Company (which he didn't), that wouldn't necessarily make it so. It's just fan speculation that that's what the series depicts, based on the first painting shown. The middle six could show a birthday party gone horribly awry for all we know. Being in a painting in the series does not mean someone was a founder of the company or that someone has powers.--Hardvice (talk) 16:33, 9 October 2007 (EDT)
            • I agree, however it does appear too coincidental that Kaito announces 8 imminent deaths, then a series of 8 paintings show up 2 of which undoubtedly predict the deaths of people with known Company links.     • I was belaboring that point with a friend--that, of the original main cast, three people died (a black man, a black woman, and a Hispanic man), leaving a bunch of white people, an Indian guy, a mixed-raced kid, and an Asian guy who's about as ethnically threatening as Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Friend in question says it's OK because they're adding more black/Hispanic characters. Personally, I think this makes it worse--it's like minority characters are disposable whenever you want a big shock. That, and I'm now finding the writers' claims that Simone was killed because the story wasn't there somewhat hard to swallow. Perhaps they need to consider why they're having such a tough time coming up with stories for minorities (D.L.'s was pretty thin, too) but not for the white folks? Anyway, a rant for another time. I rather liked D.L. and he definitely merited more than an "oh BTW, he's dead now" moment--which is, incidentally, exactly how it was discussed in the episode commentary.--Hardvice (talk) 15:30, 10 October 2007 (EDT)
      • Race issues aside, I have a feeling we'll be learning a lot more about D.L.'s death in an upcoming episode.         • I hope we get more of an explanation because I wasn't too angry until I watched the commentary and JJ Philbin was all "oh yeah BTW D.L.'s dead LOL" and moved on. Timeline

According to Wikipedia, "The mention of a football (soccer) match between Celtic and AC Milan, which Celtic lost 1-0, possibly dates the events in the episode to March 7, 2007, which is when a real-world match between the two with that scoreline occurred." Claire being shocked by Wests 'mark'

Claire seemed quite shocked by the mark West showed her. Even more by the fact he name HRG as the culprit. At the end, when Noah looks at his painted death, Claire looks at him somewhat disturbed or dissapointed. Yet, In Company Man, she already found out what her father did for a living, including the origin of the mark and the abductions.

• No. There's a difference between knowing what your father does (and even meeting someone like Matt he's done it to) and finding out that the guy you're falling for is one of his victims. It's probably a lot more personal for her now, and she's realizing just how adversely he affected many, many people's lives.
