Slow Burn
In chapter 1 of Slow Burn, the milk can toss attendant tells Chris Bowman to ask Bo about New Orleans. When Chris goes to talk to him, he finds him playing multiple instruments with his power. The two friends talk, and Chris asks him if he is happy at the carnival. Bo says it is great their, and he has never been happier, because he can play his music all the time, and doesn't have to worry about hiding his ability.
When Chris asks him about New Orleans, Bo gets upset and ask who told Chris about that, but he refuses to tell. Bo says that after Hurricane Katrina, he had not been a good man and had led a criminal life. He refuses to discuss it anymore, and says the carnival is a second chance, a place to become a better person. He hands Chris a harmonica, saying music has kept him at peace no matter what, and that it could do the same for him.
Evolved Human Abilities
Bo has the ability to control metal. He uses it to manipulate his instruments into making sounds no one could normally make.
