Renautas has a prediction of a seared Earth future that occurs when a coronal mass ejection happens in conjunction with a magnetic pole reversal of the Earth such that the majority of life on the planet is wiped out.

The Lion's Den
Erica Kravid is shown by Richard Schwenkman a Renautas computer's video simulation of the effects of a prediction of a coronal mass ejection of the sun on the Earth happening during a magnetic pole reversal. While showing Erica the simulation, Richard notes that the size of the coronal mass ejection is larger than anything previously seen, and that the magnetic pole reversal will leave planet Earth defenseless to solar radiation such that 96% of all species on the planet will die in a matter of days.
