Have you checked out my recent edits lately? :) -- Tristan0709 talk 02:06, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
- Cute. And I hate to be a spoilsport, but we really should remove false spoilers, even if they're a joke. It detracts from the real information...and not everybody in other countries even understands what April Fools Day is. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 07:49, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
- Fair enough. Just so you know, my apology at User talk:Admin is directed at you and other administrators/patrollers as well. -- Tristan0709 talk 22:49, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
- Thanks, Tristan. And please don't think that I'm taking anything personally or that I'm holding anything against you. I like to have fun as much as the next guy, absolutely. And I know your edits were in good fun--they weren't purposeful vandalism, and your excellent attitude following the corrections proves that you are didn't mean any harm. If we come down a little hard on April Fools edits, just realize that we're doing it less to make you feel badly, and more to discourage others to not get silly ideas. We have to remember that our site is global, and that there are some who either don't "get" April Fools, or who believe what's written because they are too young and can't discern truth from humor. So no hard feelings on either side. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 23:09, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
- Of course, I completely understand. Thanks! -- Tristan0709 talk 23:16, 1 April 2009 (EDT)

Time manipulation or Time freezing?
- Hey Ryan, I'm in North Korea right now on my way to the Philippines hehehehe
By the way, I was checking my e-mail and I just got an mail from Heroes Spoiler about an interview to Joe Pokaski and Aron Coliete saying that "Hiro can freeze time. That's it.". So shouldn't the Time manipulation page be undeleted now?. And they said he can only freeze time, which he can't reverse or slow down time, then should we still name it Time manipulation or Time freezing?--NiveKJ13 (talk2me) 06:05, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
- I think that's exactly what we're saying. His power was partially restored. He can only freeze time. Baby Matt didn't give him a new power, he restored part of an old power. Even if Baby Matt restored the part of Hiro's old power that allows him to teleport, he wouldn't have the power of teleportation--that's a separate power. That's Rachel's power. Hiro doesn't have a new power, just one part of his old one. It'd be a very different power that Baby Matt had if he could suddenly grant new powers! :) By the way, discussion about time manipulation should probably go on Talk:Time manipulation so everybody can easily find it. :) Enjoy your vacation. Say hi to Kim Jong-il for me! -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) APRIL FOOLS!

forget it
Why don't you stop deleting my stuff and put it in the proper place for me..thanks a lot.. --Bucklen62189 15:09, 1 April 2009
- I don't know what edits you're referring to specifically. I'm not targeting you as an editor, and I don't distinguish "your" stuff from the stuff of others. Once it's on the wiki, it's up for editing by anybody. I don't always have time while editing to fix every page so it's perfect. I've found that in the past if I try to edit every page to perfection, I get very little done. If I leave it until I have time, I forget about it. That's what templates like the stub flag are for--so we can mark the articles as incomplete and come back to them later on. If you would like to move something that's in the wrong place into the proper place, feel free. If you're not sure where it goes, I always have time to explain to other users where something is supposed to go or how to edit. Let me know if you need a hand. Thanks! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 16:16, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
Wrong
This week, here's what happened ( ODI knows ): I opened edit box while I was uploading video on Youtube, around the same time as ODI was editing on Wiki. This stuff usually happens when episode ends because we are waiting to post new stuff like trailer in this case ....
I erased his link accidently. And I noticed it later. I didn't changed it to previous because when I checked ODI's blog post, he didn't had the video anymore because apparently it was deleted by video hosting. He usually stopped uploading videos year ago so I knew he will wait that someone uploads, so I kept my link ( to my post from Wiki ) because I already uploaded it on Youtube and had it on my site. There's no point pointing fans to destination without wanted content.
The same thing was done previous week, around the same time ( when episode finished ) just that time ODI changed my link. You can check it in history. He and I know this, was discussing on Twitter!
If you have more questions please email me on spoilersguide@gmail.com because I'm going to be out of the country starting tomorrow. --Matej 20:40, 1 April 2009
- Thanks for explaining that Matej. I don't frequent the spoilers pages too often, so I don't know all the ins and outs of who posts, when, and what "politics" might be involved. I just saw that you had changed his link for yours--I suppose it was a simultaneous edit--and went on your page to just bring it to your attention. When I saw that it had happened previously, it raised a red flag for me. Thanks for explaining. My suggestion would be that when you're posting such items, you check to see whether or not you've accidentally erased somebody else's link. Then, if you decide that the link you have should be the one to stay, you might want to message that other person. In other words, if you accidentally erase ODI's link for your own, you might want to leave him a message on his talk page so that the issue is addressed. Otherwise, it looks like you're jealously trying to change his links for yours. Thanks for understanding! -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 22:42, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
Sortnames for numbered characters
Hey Ryan. It's April, so archiving time, yeah? =) Anyways, I noticed that you changed the sortnames of DHS agents 1, 2, 3, and 4 and added the parenthetical numbers to them. However, I was under the impression that parenthetical numbers don't get included in sortnames. For examples, on Portal:Minor3, there are 3 emergency room doctors, none of which have parenthetical numbers in their sortnames. And on Portal:Minor6, the same is true with Mohinder's muggers. Has the policy been changed that we should include them, for purposes of, for example, not having a (III) agent sorted before a (I) agent, I assume? If that's the case I'll start fixing up the sortnames of the millions of characters with parenthetical numbers we have. Thanks. --Radicell 09:54, 3 April 2009 (EDT)
- I noticed an issue with the Homeland Security agents. When the four agents were "straddling" two portals, DPL had a hard time distinguishing between them. Specifically, Homeland Security agent (I) and Homeland Security agent (II) should have been in Portal:Minor4 (at the time), and Homeland Security agent (III) and Homeland Security agent (IV) should have been in Portal:Minor5. However, HS agents 1 and 2 were in Portal:Minor4 and Portal:Minor5, and HS agents 3 and 4 were nowhere. (Does that make sense?) Ultimately, since they all had the exact same sortname, the the templates were not ordering them correctly when the four characters were split among two portals.
I'm not sure if it's a permanent problems, or if it was something specific to just those four characters, but adding a sortname fixed the issue. Yeah, we should probably add the numbers for all those other parenthetically names characters. It won't be an issue until the characters "straddle" two portals, but we're probably better off fixing the sortnames now than later. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 17:28, 3 April 2009 (EDT)
- Oh, so that's the only time when they cause a problem. It'd be nice if there was a sortname variable and a sortnametext variable, much like the link and linktext pair. Anyways, since there seems to be no workaround at this time, I'll start fixing the sortnames soon. On another note, did Julio Leal reply that email you sent him? --Radicell 03:26, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
- Re: Julio Leal. No. I'd say let's just go ahead and keep all the characters as one. It makes things much easier... I'll try emailing him again, though. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 10:28, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
- So I actually just opened my email to write back to Julio. Lo and behold, there's an email from him! Funny how things work out like that. Anyway, the image we had wasn't of him, but of another actor (I'll see what else I can find out about him, but I know the other actor's name is Chase). He didn't mind having all the characters combined into one--or rather he didn't say anything about it, so I take that as non-objection. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 17:22, 4 April 2009 (EDT)

Heidi Petrelli
Right.. Is she divorced or separated fron Nathan? Because on Nathan's page saying "Ex-Wife" but on his info box saying "Separated" Which one is correct? Many thanks! Hopwas2007 05:23, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
- I don't think we know, do we? -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 10:27, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
- Lol! Just that I dont want misleading fellow heroeswikiers (if u call it) thinking he is divorced/seperated. You know what I mean? Hopwas2007 15:27, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
- I agree. Well, we know that they're separated, that's for sure. I don't think we know whether or not they're divorced. We should keep it to what we know. So on the page, I don't think it should say "ex-wife" since we're not really sure if Heidi is still Nathan's wife or not. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 15:33, 4 April 2009 (EDT)

Hiro's blog
Yeah, sorry about that. I thought that the page had to be fixed since it didn't come up on the screen correctly but I guess it was supposed to be like that. Once again sorry.--TedGordon 17:14, 4 April 2009 (EDT)TedGordon
- It wasn't coming up correctly? What was wrong with it? -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 17:15, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
What i meant was... I can't explain it
When it turned out like this I thought there was something wrong with it
