New characters and actors

For simplicity, I'm putting a gallery of all the new actors and characters here... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:58, 23 September 2008 (EDT)

Ability Names

  • Okay, so we've got a few new powers: Angela's dreams (Prophetic Dreams?), Knox's strength (assignment profile called it Enhanced Strength) and Mohinder's new gift (due to the wall-crawling I called it Spider Mimicry). I sent in a question to Jonah Weiland from CBR, the guy who does Behind the Eclipse, asking about these new abilities plus the blue pyrokinesis Flint has and that red lightning for Future Ando's. --PeterDawson 12:15, 23 September 2008 (EDT)
    • I would have classified Angela's power as just Precognition instead of creating a new name. We don't know enough about Mohinder's to really name it yet, but give that it's an icon of the show, I'm going with "Roach powers". Future Ando's looks like Lightning, at least until further notice. --Ted C 15:33, 24 September 2008 (EDT)
    • He's yet to show powers exclusive to spiders, more likely (because of his skin peeling off) he's lizarding out on us, a la Mohinder the Lizard. Either way, best hold off on that one. Gac 13:10, 23 September 2008 (EDT)
      • Mohinder's and Angela's abilities need detailed pages with as much as we know about them. Flint's ability is pretty clearly Pyrokinesis, just a more personal form of it. I'd say hold off on trying to detail Knox's ability until we've seen it in action.--Paronine 13:17, 23 September 2008 (EDT)
    • According to HRG, Knox's ability is not just enhanced strength but strength enhanced by people's fear. We'll also need an article for Future Ando's ability. Should character boxes have a new category for artificial abilities?--Watchmaker 14:51, 23 September 2008 (EDT)
      • So far the only clear artificial ability is Mohinder's, so just adding details about how he gave himself his powers should be good for now. If we do get a swarm of people like him then that might be a good idea, but lets not make more work for ourselves just yet. --PeterDawson
      • Is it really fair to call them artificial abilities? Mohinder isolated what causes abilities, and hasn't refined it. Therefore, at this point, his ability is the same as if he had been born with it. Future Ando's ability might classify as artificial, as by that point they may have refined it into a designer drug of sorts, but Mohind-y's power is true to him. --Anomy 09:58, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
        • Plus who's to say that wasn't a legit ability, not one created from Mohinder's experiments? --PeterDawson 10:54, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
        • No, it's not right to call the abilities artificial. I do think it's okay to call the method by which the abilities were obtained artificial, but not the abilities themselves. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:26, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
        • Yay, Ryan agrees! Woot woot! --Anomy 11:45, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
          • So then, call them "Articifially-Induced Abilities"? --Maelwys 12:02, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
          • Why not just "Induced Abilities?" --Anomy 12:33, 25 September 2008 (EDT)

Synopsis

  • Is anyone working on or planning to write the synopsis for this episode? If not then I'll work on it, I just don't want to duplicate work if anyone else has started or plans to write it. (Admin 19:19, 23 September 2008 (EDT))

Angela's dream

This is really bugging me; when Angela had that precognitive dream in the car, there were five "villains" in it... Adam, Tracy, Knox, Sylar... for the life of me, I can't remember who the fifth one was. Can anyone clear this up for me? Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 20:20, 23 September 2008 (EDT)

Ugh, duh. Thanks. I thought it was Linderman or something... Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 20:34, 23 September 2008 (EDT)
    • Actually, Sylar wasn't a villain in Angela's dream... he was her sole ally.--MiamiVolts (talk) 20:43, 23 September 2008 (EDT)
    • If anyone wants to, you can upload screen caps from the link above, I don't know how to.
      • Really? I was under the impression he was one of the villains. When he grabs her, she wakes up, and that made me think it was because people generally do not see their own deaths in their dreams. Therequiembellishere 11:38, 28 September 2008 (EDT)

The formula

Should we add a page for the formula? And are there pics, maybe HD that anyone has of the halves?

  • It already exists. See formula and please add your sig here.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:49, 24 September 2008 (EDT)

Echo

In Webisode:Going Postal, Part 3 he is shown as being confined to Level 5. I thought I saw him at first, but when I watched it again I think it was actually Knox. Did Kiko Ellsworth's name ever appear in the credits? --Pinkkeith 13:56, 25 September 2008 (EDT)

  • In this picture Greg Beeman took, is that Echo in the chair? If so then he was included in the shooting... whether any shots with him made it into the final cut I don't remember. (Admin 14:59, 25 September 2008 (EDT))

IMDb isn't much of a source, given that it's user-based, but the official NBC press release for "The Butterfly Effect" also listed Kiko Elsworth, who played Echo in Going Postal. Pierre 10:49, 28 September 2008 (EDT)

Sylar's song

Sorry if this is out of place, but does anyone know what the song that was playing when Sylar was walking down the street before Gael and Bianca attacked him? Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 21:11, 27 September 2008 (EDT)

"He's Frank" by Brighton Port Authority featuring Iggy Pop. Second time they used that song, the first was in "Four Months Ago..." when Gina is seen partying in L.A. It is the third track on the Heroes Soundtrack. - Jasonbres 21:22, 27 September 2008 (EDT)

Credits

The credits given at the beginning of ep 3.01 and 3.02 are quite messed up. Ep. 1 lists the 12 season 3 main stars and following guest stars: Bruce Boxleitner (Robert Malden), Ashley Crow (Sandra Bennet), Jimmy Jean-Louis (The Haitian), Jamie Hector (Benjamin "Knox" Washington), Francis Capra (Jesse Murphy), Brea Grant (Daphne Millbrook), George Takei (Kaito Nakamura) and Malcolm McDowell (Daniel Linderman)

Ep. 2 doesn't credit the guest stars also appearing in ep.1, and include the following list: Kristen Bell (Elle Bishop), David Anders (Adam Monroe), Jessalyn Gilsig (Meredith Gordon), William Katt (DC reporter), Blake Shields (Flint), Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Usutu), Alan Blumenfeld (Maury Parkman), Andre Royo (spoiler), Ken Lally (The German), David H. Lawrence XVII (Eric Doyle), Demetrius Grosse (spoiler) and Stephen Tobolowsky (Bob Bishop)

I haven't managed to see neither of Jean-Louis, Anders, Royo and Grosse. Cut scenes, or appearances too short for me to notice?? On a side note, Shields appeared already in ep.1, but isn't credited until ep.2...

At least the credited co-stars seems to be right...: Randall Bentley (Lyle Bennet), Doralicia (Hispanic woman), Ryan Todd (Paramedic (II)), Loren Lester (Emergency room doctor (II)), J. David Shanks (Bruce Evans), Erik Betts (Mohinder's mugger (I)), "DNA" Senyo Amoaku (Mohinder's mugger (II)), Lauren Leah Mitchell (News commentator), Toshiya Agata (Tokyo detective), Pamela Shaddock (Odessa nurse), with all but the last two, appearing in ep. 1.

And the credits given in the official NBC press releases are a complete mess... Pierre 09:33, 28 September 2008 (EDT)

    • David Anders appeared in the dream sequence. Chrisyu357 09:45, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
      • Ah! Your right, of course. I guess Grosse and Royo appeared in cut scenes in the break out. Pierre 09:57, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
        • This doesn't address everything, but it might help clear two things up. Scenes with the Haitian were cut. See here and here for example. (It looks like he was supposed to be in that four years later future.) Also, Greg Beeman said on his blog, "On next year's DVD, we will add more credits in the first act." I think they kind of smooshed the two episodes together and kind of counted them as one. Ah well...we'll use the credits to help us out, but we'll use actual appearances to do the real work. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:18, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
          • Masi said to me on friday that there was a lot cut from the future bit he was in.--Skywalkerrbf 14:21, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
