Open parentheses

Hey. Rather than revert back and forth, I figured I'd bring it up here. On the following lines, my screen shows just an open parentheses, with the episode name and closed parentheses on the next line (Future Nathan, Flight 195 guards, McSorley's thug, Sylar). It doesn't show that way on your screen? If not, maybe it has to do with monitor size. Again, that shouldn't happen since the citation is via a template and it should always be completely on one line. Even when I adjust the size of my Firefox window, the template wraps around the text, and never breaks in between parentheses.   • Yeah, it was like the second one on my screen for some reason. But I'm on my roommate's computer now and the page looks fine, so I assume it's either due to screen size (17") or maybe a setting somewhere, or the fact that I'm still using super-old versions of IE and Firefox. L.A. bar customer

Hi Radicell,

Do we not count someone as "appeared" just because we don't know who portrays that person, even if the person speaks or does something and is clearly seen?

I was rewatching some old episodes and in One Giant Leap, I saw another customer next to Matt, who complains about the problems with his wife. As Matt hears him, he feels sympathy as he just disputed with his wife. So Matt lift his glass of champaign (or whatever drink) and says hi to the guy. The guy lifts back but in his head, tells Matt not to deal with the wrong guy. So Matt stops interacting with him. As we could clearly see the bar customer's face a while and thus could get a lot of "print screen" photos, I thought that the character should've been missed (forgotten to be put in the wiki I mean). So I wanted to put it.

Anyway, I actually ask because I'm not sure about the rule. So is it the rule that we put minor characters only if we get to know who portrays them? Or something similar? I'm just trying to be a good heroeswikian =) (or should I say heroespedian :))

I would like if you answer to my talk page.

I felt free to create the article because you told me so. 

:I'm not sure there is a rule about this. Generally, for episodes, if a character is credited, then it definitely gets a page. 
 If not, whether or not the character speaks is generally the guideline. I haven't watched One Giant Leap in a long time, and I believe you about the bar customer, 
 so feel free to add the article. I think that with uncredited characters like this one, pages for them were simply unnecessary 
 - that's why it seems to be "forgotten to be put into the wiki". Pages for characters like these (other examples are masked fugitive or DC cop) can be created

I was actually planning to create the page about when you told me that, but I've been busy.

I'm not sure if I understand what you say correctly. By "doubling back" do you mean to say the same thing again or to revert back from what you said previously? (Sorry again because I've never heard of that expression before). And thanks for not reverting back the articles. As you say I'm also curious about what others will say.

All the importance of Heroes to me, upto now, have been the in-world characters. So mainly most of the time I never cared who portrayed the people... as long as they are inspiring and good :) So as I love the story, or "the fiction", I love every character playing a role or participating in that "Heroes Universe". - By the way, I'm just expressing my thought, feeling I'm not trying to imply it on anybody - Therefore, I feel that everybody even if they are "seemingly ordinary" or "insignificant", should get a recognition. (I mean even if we don't know who play them... but any how; someone plays the character :)) We can't do that in real life, so at least let's apply equality here =] I think I went a little emotional :) Any way,

I have spoken with other members and we voted in agreement with you about ability pages. You can start when you want, just a few things. 1) keep the main pic even if it is mainspace, keep the characters in info box and section even if mainspace. But everything else can be removed just put a link saying see the mainspace ability.       • It seems to me that the second one is one with simply no effect. I'm fine with anything, to be honest I don't really see the need for an effect, but I guess that makes CH special, which is good. Storyline Devlopment-ish Thing

Hey Radicell, congrats on winning, your character and ability were very good :) Anyway, as you know you are the main archnemy for Volume 2 onwards, i just have a few questions about your character/ability.

  • It says that he is tracking down evolved humans for an unknown reason? Is this just shark alone, or is he with a "gang" with other evolved humans?
  • Your ability is to replicate objects, can you replicate (1) abilities (2) people/living things.
  • Totally unrelated, but have you seen the movie Push, in it there is a precog, who has visions to track the good guys, if you have a "gang or EV's" I think it would be good for you to have someone like that in your gang, we have created the page here.

  • He's a member of a "gang", but not all the other crew members are evolved humans. I'll tweak the page a little to give him more storyline later.
  • Shark can't replicate abilities (since they're not physical objects), but he can replicate people/living things if he is physically capable of handling them.

    • Thanks. They look quite nice, although I'm not sure about the last 3. I don't think we need to be too keen on always using new abilities. For example, instead of Energy Transmutation, I'd put a generic super strength. If I were to actually pick the team (as Shark), I'd have the precog-visions guy be my right-hand man, the Super-Strength and Plastic guys be my henchmen. There was a discussion on whether they appeared there or not, I'm not sure in which talk page it was, maybe the actor's or the episode's, but it was there, the only thing I can give with 100% sureness is that the actor was credited in the episode. I don't know, but maybe if you gave it a shot you might find that you're actually good at it. Using Microsoft Paint is a start. Just go copy AT plain.jpg and paste it into Paint, and edit all you want. "About" vs "Character History"

Hey, Radicell. Is there a reason you removed the section heading for "Character History" and changed it to "About" for some of the iStory characters? I think it's standard that the section says "Character History", even if they only appear in the iStories or Heroes Evolutions.   • I don't think the information from the people's Heroes: Survival section should be under a "Character History" heading. I think it's like background information we have on some characters, so should be under "About".
