The Agent
In chapter 9 of The Agent, a woman and a man stuck together from the shoulder to hip, sharing a shirt and pants pass by Anna in the back tent of a circus after closing time. When Anna is frightened by something she sees in a coffin, the man steps out from his partner so that the woman can approach Anna. She tells Anna that it is okay and pats her shoulder. The clothes she and her partner were wearing hang off of her; and the man she was attached to now stands behind her in his underwear, with all his own limbs.
A short while later, the ringmaster informs Anna that the government is coming for everyone but himself, and the woman who was was sharing clothes steps back into her partner that is standing behind her such that their shoulders pass through each other. Some time later, the body sharing man and woman huddle with Anna and the other circus performers in the dark. They and everyone else freeze as they spot lots of people moving around quietly outside.
In chapter 10 of The Agent, the body sharing woman, Anna, and the other circus staff hide in a cellar underneath the circus while agents search above them. Anna notes that her and her circus partner are pretend-Siamese twins for their act. She also notes that they don't talk, and that sometimes they move at the same time. She also says that they are the W in LAWR (V + V = W), and then asks Valerie to demonstrate the ability she and her brother both possess. Without saying a word, Valerie slides across the room towards Anna, and touches Anna's shoulder. Anna is then transported across the room, with Victor touching Anna's shoulder. Linda explains that Valerie and Victor can transfer anything up to person-size, and that if one of them has something, the other can obtain it. She adds that she has seen them pass a whole family from Pennsylvania to California in thirty seconds, but that they get kind of irritable when they are apart for too long.
Evolved Human Abilities
It is unclear as to the exact nature of her ability, but she seems to be able to 'share' anything with her brother, when Valerie touches Anna's shoulder, Anna suddenly moves across the room and Victor is touching her shoulder.
