* Once an image is uploaded to Heroes Wiki, the uploader automatically grants Heroes Wiki the license to use the image in pretty much any way. Technically and legally, you don't need to ask any permission. However, out of common courtesy, if the image is more personal in nature (like [[:Image:Griffin.JPG|this one]] or [[:Image:Evan.JPG|this one]]) it would be polite to ask. But if it's an image that is ''Heroes'' related or not really a personal image, I don't think there's any need to ask. Just a quick thought, since both fire and earth abilities have a -kinesis suffix, if we get an air manipulation ability or a water manipulation (coming soon?) ability I think we should also add the -kinesis suffix to them as well. It will give some similarity to the four elemental abilities and it seems that the writers may be more inclined to give them 'comic-book names'. * Honestly, I'd say that it would depend on how the ability name is presented to us. We don't name abilities so they go together or match other ability names. We have [[naming conventions]] that determine how abilities are named. If an air manipulation ability is presented to us in an Assignment Tracker profile and is called "air jumping" or "oxygen manipulation" or something like that, then that's the name we'd go with. If the name is not explicitly given to us, we'd go through a consensus check. Hey, I realize this is kind of forward looking, but I was updating the Season History templates in case we get another installment and need to do a Reborn portion. I am having difficulties with three things:

1) When I type "Noah Bennet/Heroes Reborn" it does not take me to the button that says "New season summary page"
* That's not up to me, that's up to the community. There needs to be consensus first, and that's usually done on the talk page. However, there are quite a few things that need to be changed so it stylistically meets the standards of Heroes Wiki. For instance, the title shouldn't be capitalized. You've got an empty section that doesn't need to be there, which also means that the "Other Victims" subheading can be removed. You have sentences with no periods. "After going after" sounds awkward. 2) If I were to put it on the original page as <nowiki>{{season summary|season=Reborn}}</nowiki>, then the link appears as <nowiki>[[Noah Bennet/Season Reborn|Noah Bennet: Season Reborn History]]</nowiki>
3) On the top of the Season archive footer template, it will normally link to the previous season history if their is one and I can't seem to work it with the Reborn part

* The "new season summary page" is set up to appear when the title "/Season" appears in the subpagename. I can make a workaround for the few individual pages. I don't think we need to do any major structural changes since this really only affects Noah and maybe a handful of other characters. ** Actually, I think the biggest issue is that there was a misspelling on the archive page. It said "Rebron" instead of Reborn" so I don't think it was pulling the info correctly... **** The "if exist" command just means that if the page exists on the wiki, do whatever it says to do. So something like <tt><nowiki>{{#ifexist: Peter Petrelli | [[Peter Petrelli]] | Peter Petrelli }}</nowiki></tt> means that if there is a page called "Peter Petrelli" on the wiki, link it. If not, don't link it. That command would show up as {{#ifexist: Peter Petrelli | [[Peter Petrelli]] | Peter Petrelli }}. So with Heroes Reborn ending, we have a lot of stubs out there and frankly most of the new articles are incomplete (including episode pages). Therefore, I am hoping to inspire you and others to do this challenge with me. On my [[User:Iheartheroes|userpage]], I have gone to all of the stubbed pages and separated them out by episode. Therefore, we can rewatch an episode and pay extra attention to these things that have stubs. So, my challenge is to follow this schedule to get everything listed under each category done. Hopefully if we all work together and can narrow down where we can help, we can finish this soon.

== Adding "Death circumstances" or something like that to all dead character articles ==

I think the death of characters is very important, i suggest putting the episode/season, location, killer/cause and appearances after death. People killed by Sylar would be linked to the articles Victims of Sylar and so forth... The reason is that a main character's death is somewhat important in the storyline, and people who search the cause of death have to search the whole article and often its not in the last episode the character is seen( example: Linderman). Also, this section appearing in the list at the top will immediately inform the user that the character IS dead. Characters that come back from the dead like Claire are included. Tell me if its a good ideea. - [[User:Discipol|Discipol]]

For instance, on [[Nathan]]'s page, one of his significant others is listed in his infobox as <code>[[Meredith Gordon]] ([[Sylar's victims|deceased]])</code>. Is that what you're talking about? * I think right now, one portal and one navbar is all that's needed for hair and makeup. Ditto sound and music. However, I left two options for the same navbar in case we ever decide to split them later on down the road. For instance, if we decide in the future that we need a navbar/portal for hair, and a separate navbar/portal for makeup, all we have to do is create the navbar and portal. We wouldn't have to update the individual pages because they would already appropriately say "hair" or "makeup" on them. In other words, when you make the crew pages (and by the way, thank you so much for making all the crew pages!), just put "hair" for those who are hair people, and "makeup" for those who are makeup people. You still missed quite "a few".

  • We don't use a template for references like Wikipedia. We just put the source afterwards. So it would just be something like this. (Heroes Reborn: Enigma) ... Differences in Gemini & Enigma

I noticed in Enigma when Dahlia & 2014 Cassie interact that Cassie isn't wearing the Renautas smart glasses. Also in Enigma during the last meeting between Dahlia & 2014 Cassie, Dahlia doesn't have ask Cassie to do anything about the lasers or the platform she can't jump to because it is to high.

Re: New Season

Damen Peak

Hey, so we have been terrible at keeping the website up to date! lol, but I just made the 3 parts for the Damen Peak webisodes. If you could help me out some by uploading photos and summaries, that would be great. I don't know who wrote and directed the first and last ones (I took the names from the second and put them on all three)...With this, we don't have actors for Jim and Lilly...We need episode pictures and title pictures as well as image-nav things...Do the ability pages need updating?...Do I need to attach URLs to the videos on NBC website?....I updated the checklist.       • Whole thing was written and directed by the same people. No known actors for Jim or Lilly unfortunately. I've done some digging and can't figure it out. Vengeance

  • I think keeping it as El Vengador is fine, since it was about both Oscar and his grandfather, as well as the idea of being El Vengador. It reminds me of the Evs Dropper comics in that way, in that Evs wasn't a single person either. Episode Pages

Hey, so there is a lot still to do here for Heroes Reborn and I was wondering if you, me, and maybe some others would like to devote the next couple of weeks to getting it all up to speed. So I'm suggesting this week we really go hard on getting the episode pages done. Summaries, Plots, MQs, etc. You think we can encourage others to help us?

MQ on 501, Synopsis on 506, MQ on 507, Synopsis and MQ on 508, Summary Synopsis and MQ on 509, Synopsis and MQ on 510, Story Dev and Synopsis on 511, Synopsis and Title Card on 512, Synopsis and Title Card on 513. As well, images from the episodes in the Synopsis' on all episodes.

  • Totally agree. Sounds like a plan. I am pretty busy intermittently in the next few weeks with work and other commitments. But I help out wherever I can when I get a chance. Season Summary

Hey, I realize this is kind of forward looking, but I was updating the Season History templates in case we get another installment and need to do a Reborn portion. I am having difficulties with three things: 1) When I type "Noah Bennet/Heroes Reborn" it does not take me to the button that says "New season summary page" 2) If I were to put it on the original page as {{season summary|season=Reborn}}, then the link appears as [[Noah Bennet/Season Reborn|Noah Bennet: Season Reborn History]] 3) On the top of the Season archive footer template, it will normally link to the previous season history if their is one and I can't seem to work it with the Reborn part Can you help me with these couple things?   • The "new season summary page" is set up to appear when the title "/Season" appears in the subpagename. I can make a workaround for the few individual pages. I don't think we need to do any major structural changes since this really only affects Noah and maybe a handful of other characters.     • Actually, I think the biggest issue is that there was a misspelling on the archive page. It said "Rebron" instead of Reborn" so I don't think it was pulling the info correctly...       • Oh, okay. I wasn't meaning that we do it now. It was mainly just to smooth the bridges later incase we needed to. It shows the category at the bottom of Noah Bennet/Heroes Reborn Category:Season Reborn Histories.         • The "if exist" command just means that if the page exists on the wiki, do whatever it says to do. So something like {{#ifexist: Peter Petrelli | [[Peter Petrelli]] | Peter Petrelli }} means that if there is a page called "Peter Petrelli" on the wiki, link it. If not, don't link it. That command would show up as Peter Petrelli. Something like {{#ifexist: Foo | [[Foo]] | Foo }} would show up as just Foo. -- RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 21:05, 11 March 2016 (EST)

Making this Wiki Pretty Again

Hey,

So with Heroes Reborn ending, we have a lot of stubs out there and frankly most of the new articles are incomplete (including episode pages). Therefore, I am hoping to inspire you and others to do this challenge with me. On my userpage, I have gone to all of the stubbed pages and separated them out by episode. Therefore, we can rewatch an episode and pay extra attention to these things that have stubs. So, my challenge is to follow this schedule to get everything listed under each category done. Hopefully if we all work together and can narrow down where we can help, we can finish this soon.

Schedule:

After this, we have graphic novels, webisodes, ebooks, and ability pages to finish up. But this way, a lot of it can get done. If you can't help one week or something, that's okay! This is just to inspire you and others to team together to get this done, there aren't a lot of pages under each episode, so maybe we could bust it out in a week, but maybe not!
