Norman Ventris is a down on his luck guy and a target of the government. He is also an evolved human with the ability to alter the likelihood of something happening.

Character History

Targets

Norman sits at the park with his girlfriend Paula. He talks with her about his life and about how something wonderful has happened. Paula reminds him that he has lost his job, his home, his car and all of his money. She reassures him that she will not leave him, though she is unsure why. Norman then tells her that he won all of the things he lost back in a bet that her had basically no chance of winning. Paula asks how he did this and Norman claims that he did it by changing the likelihood of him winning from 1 to 100. Paula is skeptical but Norman demonstrates his power by making money fall from the sky.

Tyson and Olivia arrive at Norman's house and Tyson tells Olivia that he captured Norman when he was a teenager, when his power first manifested. He then says that they had his memory erased. Norman shows up and Olivia tells him that he has to come with them. Norman says that he should stay home and Olivia suddenly agrees that it is a good idea. Tyson tasers Norman and removes his earplugs, saying that he didn't hear him. Later, Norman is loaded onto a train with several other prisoners.

Evolved Human Abilities

Norman has the ability to change the likelihood of something happening, making the improbable probable. With this power, he has successfully changed the likelihood of himself winning back all of his possessions, he has made his girlfriend stay with him despite her apparent lack of interest and he has also convinced Olivia that it would be a good idea if he stayed home. Tyson commented that Norman's ability is highly dangerous.
