the watcher

Hey ryan, you put the watcher under the category of carnies, but it's been stated by him that he's not one, he just lives there. Kinda like what claire is just now, she's just a visitor, not a worker (although I have to say, I actually enjoyed the direction of the plot of claire being a carnie). --mc_hammark 12:08, 2 December 2009 (EST)

  • First off, congrats on the baby! I have a couple of things about the Watcher. 1) He was not a carnie. He didn't run the ball toss game, he just used the game once to play one of his own sick games on Chris. He followed the Carnival around in order to destroy it. 2) Do we consider him dead, or alive? Your given a choice at the end of chapter 10, but it is debatable what the Bowmans would do themselves. You work with the iStory people, so is it possible to ask them?.     • Thanks! My opinion about The Watcher being a carny--if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. He ran the game for a short time and traveled and lived with the carnival. But that's just the way I view it. As for his status of dead or alive, the only way I can think to address it is in the notes. Something like "In one ending of the iStory..., but in another ending..." should be fine. If you want to make me a patroller, it's fine. I'll probably be doing the same patrolling that I'm doing now and basically doing pictures, quotes, fixing little errors and adding little bits of information that I spot, etc...
