Charlie Andrews

Theory Evidence Notes
Charlie's eidetic memory could be a result of the blood clot in her brain. As Chandra Suresh began his research thinking that defects in the brain could be corrected, they could possibly also cause a power to emerge. Chandra's comments about Shanti Suresh Charlie is on the list, indicating that she has the genetic markers of an evolved human.
Charlie is merely a victim of time. No matter how much Hiro bends time and space, Charlie dies at the same time. Hiro tells Ando he couldn't save her, no matter how hard he tried
Hiro actually did save Charlie from being killed by Sylar, but she still died in the present because of her blood clot. None Mr. Bennet shows Eden the photo of Charlie dead.(Episode:Homecoming)
Ando still remembers her murder, and tells Isaac about it.(Episode:Fallout)
Charlie's blood clot in her brain was only the beginning stage of her power, and she is still alive somewhere. None Mr. Bennet shows Eden the photo of Charlie dead.(Episode:Homecoming)
Ando still remembers her murder, and tells Isaac about it.(Episode:Fallout)
The Haitian visited Charlie and erased some of her memories. In Seven Minutes to Midnight, she says that she had started only a week before reading the Japanese phrase book she received for her birthday six months earlier. In Six Months Ago, she started using the book right away. Altering her memory may have interfered with Hiro's efforts to save her — even though he bought her a ticket to Japan, her memory of being told to leave was erased.
Charlie knew of her impending death, and of Hiro in the changed time line. She simply did not acknowledge that she already knew Hiro. She accepted her death at the hands of Sylar because she was going to die of the blood clot anyway. Ando doesn't remember anything differently. This doesn't account for the changing photo, however.
Hiro's actions did create some changes in the past, but he is apparently unable to make a change that would create a causality paradox: he cannot change the past in such a way that it would prevent him from going into the past. The different versions of Charlie's birthday photo (and Ando's reaction to the change) indicate the past has changed
Charlie's brain was not removed because Sylar noticed the brain clot and realized he couldn't use it. The top of her skull was removed but the brain was not removed The picture that Mr. Bennet showed Eden in Homecoming showed Charlie still had her brain, just not with the top of her skull.

AWI

Theory Evidence Notes
The AWI as Clandestine Protector Theory: The AWI [Agency Without Initials, also known as The OWI, or Organization Without Initials} is a clandestine espionage organization created after a single or series of terrible incidents involving one or more specially powered.

Because of this they seek out powered agents who they believe are not too dangerous or out of control. Especially those they can manoeuvrer into a place where they feel accepted and indebted to the organization.

To this end they take all measures to follow and monitor those who may be special.

They are also likely trying to develop a program to create these gifts.

The AWI uses the needle to inject a tracking isotope into people with powers leaving the mark on the neck, as in the Graphic Novel "How Do You Stop an Exploding Man? (Part 2) where an employee of the company who manufactures the needles explains how they are used to tag animals.

They insist on having Sylar alive to be studied ( in the episode "The Fix") no matter what the risk or cost.

with the apparent resources available to The AWI and the knowledge of many of the people who have abilities before even those people do, they could most likely kill most of them before they developed abilities or reasonable control over them.

AWI's gun

Theory Evidence Notes
The phony exterminator was working for Mr. Bennet. That's why he has the same gun Eden and Mr. Bennet both use. The guns are customized identically.
Isaac Mendez will end up working with the AWI. Hiro found the same gun near Isaac's body that Mr. Bennet, Eden, and the man in the jumpsuit all use. Isaac has already left Primatech Paper Co., and he doesn't have a gun. However when Isaac left with a keycard and cell phone from Eden, which wasn't necessarily Eden's, he may choose to go back to Primatech and ask Mr. Bennet for help or to help him achieve good things like helping other gifted people learn control like Eden did for him.
One or more of the guns are the same exact gun. In particular, the gun Mohinder got from the exterminator may end up being the gun found in Isaac's apartment. None, apart from the fact that the guns match.

Mr. Bennet

Theory Evidence Notes
Mr. Bennet is the cooler. He doesn't repel powers. Heroes powers do not exist around him. None Nathan was able to fly. The writers have confirmed in an interview that blocking powers is part of the Haitian's abilities. Jack Coleman also stated in an interview that at this point Mr. Bennet doesn't have any special powers.
Mr. Bennet is Claire's biological father and he knows it. Tim Kring said "Claire's biological father just might be someone fans are already familiar with."
Mr. Bennet will be the next character killed off. NBC's official description of episode 14: "Distractions" says "Sylar makes a shocking move against H.R.G.," which could be killing him. Promotional images of that episode show Sylar wearing a Primatech uniform, meaning he escaped. This is a perfect setup for HRG's death. Tim Kring stated "we actually do have plans for the character who's dying," plans which could be the episode "Company Man," an HRG flashback episode. Jack Coleman isn't starring in episode 15: "Run," which could mean that HRG is dead by that episode. Sylar didn't use his powers to kill Hank who simply appeared to be beaten to death. If Sylar's powers are still weakened from the drugs and implant seen in the back of his head, he may not be able to kill Bennet but the possibilities of other "shocking moves" are endless.

Also, in a promo, Bennet and The Haitian arrive in a house supposedly looking for Sylar. So, it would seem Bennet doesn't die in the cell at Primatech.

Mr. Bennet's boss

Theory Evidence Notes
Mr. Bennet's boss is Mr. Linderman. Linderman is connected to most of the heroes in some way. It would also explain how Mr. Bennet and The Haitian were able to get into Nathan's hotel room so easily and why the casino staff were so blasé about a guest disappearing from their room. Neither character has ever been seen.
Mr. Bennet's boss is named Thompson. Bennet received a text message from a "Thompson" in Wireless, Part 2 Bennet's boss has previously contacted him electronically.

Charles Deveaux

Theory Evidence Notes
Charles has a power similar to Sanjog's, like a sort of "spirit guide". Peter had a dream about the same time Charles died. Peter's dream was most likely his power of empathy in action; he connected with Charles' feelings and emotions.

Claude Rains

Theory Evidence Notes
Claude is Claire's birth father. Spoilers seem to suggest that the woman who will play Claire's birth mother (Jessalyn Gilsig) and Claude (Christopher Eccleston) are connected. Previews of episode 14 show the left arm and torso of a man sitting down when the voiceover talking about Claire's birth father is playing. The man is wearing a nice white button-down shirt with the cuffs unbuttoned and rolled up. He is also wearing a nice looking watch. Considering the life Claude seems to be living (homeless), someone else is likely (i.e. Nathan Petrelli).
Claude taught Sylar how to control his powers. When Peter Petrelli asked Claude if he had trained anyone else, Claude gave him a look and then blew off the question without providing an answer one way or another.

Cockroach

Theory Evidence Notes
In Godsend, the roach that crawls in Sylar's holding cell has some importance. Sylar focuses on it in the only scenes including him.
Sylar will use his power on the cockroach in his cell in order to become resistant to radiation.
Sylar aquired the cockroach's abilities of suspended animation. Simply using his known ability of intuitive aptitude in a new way. He knows how things work, and not just for humanoid mutates. He knows how clocks work. Sylar can figure out how insects, animals, even plantlife work. That may explain how he feigned death. Cockroaches can slow their heart rate down so that they appear dead, and even hold their breath for almost an hour at a time.

The Deveaux Society

Theory Evidence Notes
Some fans have speculated that Mr. Bennet, The Haitian, and Eden McCain are part of this society. None
Some have thought that the Society might be a group founded by Simone that acts as connection between the evolved humans and the rest of the world, or as a therapy group to help them deal with their powers. None

The email

Theory Evidence Notes
Hana is on her way to see Claire Bennet If you look closely at the email sent, it is from TEDDYBEAR616. During Six Months Ago, it's revealed that Claire collects teddy bears from around the world. With her recent revelations about her father, it can be predicted that Claire sent the email and Hana is on her way to see the rapid regenerator. The graphic novel How Do You Stop an Exploding Man?, Part 1 confirms that TEDDYBEAR616 is Theodore Sprague's chat username.
Hana is going to see Theodore Sprague so they can both get revenge on HRG. On the document Hana is reading in her hand, the name "TeddyBear" can be seen at the top. This could be an e-mail address of Theodore Sprague. (His wife called him her Teddy Bear.) Since they both have the marks on their necks, that means Mr. Bennett had gotten to them both already and enhanced their powers. Hana will get revenge for being used, and Ted will get revenge for his powers becoming out of control and resulting in the death of his wife. In his interrogation at FBI Headquarters, Theodore Sprague mentions a student from Haiti, but not a man with horn rimmed glasses. Ted's memory of the man with horn rimmed glasses may have been erased, therefore, the email may not be from Ted.

The graphic novel How Do You Stop an Exploding Man?, Part 1 confirms that TEDDYBEAR616 is Theodore Sprague's chat username.

In the preview of Heroes shown during Deal or No Deal on Monday January 22, 2007, Theodore Sprague uses the chat username TeddyBear616 while chatting with Hana Gitelman who uses the chat username Wireless.

Enhanced strength

Theory Evidence Notes
Accompanied by her enhanced strength, Jessica may also possess enhanced reflexes. In more than one instance (including one caught on video), she killed an entire room full of men, some of whom were armed, without receiving any discernible injuries herself.

Evolved Humans

Theory Evidence Notes
Some evolved humans are made that way by the AWI. They have the mark. In this way, Matt, Ted and Hana are not original evolved humans. They didn't give abilities. A file posted from the primatech site indicates that Hana did indeed have her abilities before but they were latent. It is possible that Hana is lying to Ted, merely wanting to use him as a tool of revenge on HRG -the boss who lied to her and abandoned her to the wolves. Also, Matt showed signs of telepathy before being abducted.
AWI couldn't have made Matt that way because he was already on the list and that requires the genetic marker. He wouldn't be on it if he wasn't already evolved. AWI most likely enhances or uncovers the abilities while searching and documenting them. This is why Ted and Hana didn't know before. Matt's name is on the list

Exploding Man (painting)

Theory Evidence Notes
The painting does not depict Peter absorbing Ted's radiation power and exploding. The painting instead shows Peter absorbing Claire's mother's power of pyrokinesis. Thus, the painting is accurate, yet Peter does not cause the explosion. Claire's mother will not be introduced for a few more episodes, so evidence is lacking.
The person who is exploding is in control of their powers. The look in the eyes and position of the head is not the same as that of Peter exploding in his visions. Also the positioning of the face and arms is that of someone who knows how to move energy—possibly Ted Sprague or a new evolved human. The easter egg that was in Graphic Novel:Fathers and Daughters was this painting. It was labeled "Energy Man".

Explosion

Theory Evidence Notes
Ted Sprague is the cause of the explosion He intimates that if he were to die, he could explode like an atomic bomb. (Episode:Nothing to Hide) In Peter's vision, Peter himself is the cause of the explosion. However, the veracity of the vision is not established.
Sylar kills Ted Sprague, absorbing his power. Peter Petrelli then confronts and/or defeats Sylar and, for a short time, takes on Sylar's powers. But, Peter doesn't know how to control Ted's powers and blows up.
The explosion could be a "rift" of the kind which Future Hiro warned Peter about. This could have been caused by Hiro taking the comic book back in the past with him, and that is what it looks like when things are taken out of their proper place in Space/Time. None Peter believes he is the cause of the explosion, but could be incorrect.
Peter absorbs all of the other main characters' powers, which cause him to overload and blown up the city. Peter has yet to manifest more than one power at the same time, but it's possible that he can.
It's the simultaneous combination of Ted's abilities and Claire's that allow Peter to reach some sort of 'critical mass' without dying so as to be able to explode.
Peter becomes Sylar, through some mechanism. If you look at the watch on Peter's wrist right when he comes into the explosion dream, you get the possible time it happens. Although it isn't completely clear it looks to be about 7:05, which would fit in with the lighting. Also the watch looks similar to the one Gabriel was fixing in Six Months Ago when he took the name Sylar. Peter's trench coat is also similar to Sylar's Peter has been shown to wear a trench coat since the beginning of the series, and a lot of the characters wear watches. Peter's watch in the vision is not broken, and a different shape than Sylar's.
The city is evacuated, the other heroes are running away, and Claire mouths "I'm sorry". Also, his brother, Nathan, comes outside and stands beside him. This could be so that when Peter explodes, he can fly upwards and reduce damage. This explains why in the preview for the next episode, there are seemingly fire trucks spraying water on buildings. This view is the same that Hiro had in the future, except in the future, the buildings past that (including the one he was standing in) were also destroyed. It should be noted that an air burst explosion (from say 100-200 Feet) is much more damaging to surface buildings then one right at ground level.
If Peter turns out to be the cause of the nuclear blast, one possible escape would be for him to mimic Hiro's powers and jump back in time to the Mesozoic Era (a time in which a nuclear blast may be considered to have much less impact on the state of the world today -- humans have not yet evolved and many forms of life will eventually become extinct). No direct evidence so much as speculation for motivations for apparent future events. This could possibly be where Peter gets his scar.
Hiro jumps back to prehistoric times in order to find Peter and lend him the ability to return to the present day. If the above turns out to be the case -- Peter saving NYC from the nuclear blast by taking it with him into the prehistoric past -- the others may realize or fear that Peter would be unable to return without being able to tap Hiro's powers. This could be a possible motivation for Hiro traveling back to a time and having to face a T-rex. In Isaac's painting of Hiro facing a T-rex, Hiro is still wearing his glasses implying that the dinosaur confrontation will occur prior to becoming the future Hiro who met Peter on the train. Much of this is, of course, a speculative explanation for various events. Also, since Hiro's encounter with the T-rex occurred in the AMNH, it is unclear that he will face another. However in the AMNH he has a scabbard ,whereas in Isaac's painting it clearly depicts a sword with a blade.
Uluru causes Peter to explode or tries to kill him. None None
Peter is the explosion. He absorbs Ted's power and cannot control it. In Godsend Peter has the vision again but more detailed. He tells Nathan that he absorbed his powers and can't control them. Then Simone and Nathan are disintegrated much like the doctor when Ted accidentally killed him. Peter's vision (Fallout)
Peter, knowing that he is the cause of the explosion, catches a flight to Las Vegas to escape into the desert and avoid destroying the city. He chooses the Nevada desert because of all the nuclear tests that take place there, believing that he'll just be written off as another nuclear test. However, he will encounter Ted Sprague and unintentionally absorb his power, which is what will cause him to explode. After his encounter with Ted, his family will locate him and bring him back to New York to receive medical attention, and before he can escape the city again, he will explode. Various events from the episode Godsend. Peter, to the travel agent, says that he merely wants to leave New York, and he doesn't care where he goes, so long as it is far away. The travel agent suggests the Nevada desert and arranges for him to fly to Las Vegas, and Peter agrees. However, he doesn't know about Ted's existence, let alone that he lives in the very desert where he is heading, and that he will eventually absorb his powers of nuclear explosion.
Peter and other Heroes will work together to stop Ted Sprague from causing the explosion, but Peter will absorb Ted's power, lose control of it, and become a threat himself in the process. This would be consistent with Peter's dreams in Godsend and also explain the presence of so many of the other main characters. Peter's vision (Godsend)
Nathan winds up in league with whoever plans to blow up New York, using the disaster to distract away from the shady circumstances of his Election victory and make himself look like a great leader in the process as he leads the campaign to rebuild New York. This would explain why Nathan is so calm as Peter is about to explode in Peter's vision in Godsend- he thinks he can just fly away from the disaster and will soon be rid of his embarrassing brother. Peter's vision (Godsend)

Hana Gitelman

Theory Evidence Notes
Hana’s power may be the ability to hear and receive electronic communication signals without any sort of aid such as a radio. In Wireless, Part 1 , which introduces her character, Hana, while working as an intelligence officer for the Israeli military, says that “At my best, it seemed as if I knew the enemies’ moves before they did.”, which may be an indication of her ability to pick up on their communications. The series of graphic novels' name, “Wireless” may also be a reference to this ability. Hana is able to receive and send electronic communications (Wireless, Part 2), though it is only after a period of study and treatment by Mr. Bennet's organization that she manifests this power unambiguously.
Hana is Claire's mother and the webcomic Wireless is something that has already taken place. This is speculative, but an interview with one of the writers said that two of the characters would be revealed to be related, and this would be revealed in the second half of the season. It also seems odd to have Claire in the webcomic unless she has some direct connection to Hana. It would be difficult to fit Hana being Claire's biological mother into the chronology since Claire would have to have been born around 1990 and Hana doesn't seem to have had any children as of 1997.

Claire is also seen in Wireless, Part 3, calling Mr. Bennet Dad, while he is on the phone with Hana.

A woman living in Kermit, TX claims to be Meredith Gordon, Claire's birth mother.

Hana has a list of evolved humans. She knew where Ted was. She had saved a document containing the needle that made "the mark", so she could've saved a list of evolved humans. Hana could also have tracked Ted using her powers quite easily, assuming Ted left some kind of electronic trail in reaching Nevada. Even if the DHS kept Ted's escape and existence out of the media, their own e-mail and phone-calls would still be accessible to Hana. And according to How Do You Stop an Exploding Man?, Part 1, Hana did get to Ted just before Homeland Security did, making it more than likely she was piggy-backing off their recon.
Hana is the hacker who is a part of the Heroes 360 experience, and she is using her power to do so. Hana can intercept emails and texts as well as responded to them... ...So why can't she use it to hack into the files?

Hiro Nakamura

Theory Evidence Notes
Hiro is Takezo Kensei The picture of Takezo in the museum looks a lot like Hiro in the future. He can manipulate time, and he does end up in the past. It cannot be a far off idea that he is the "Godsend" after he teleports into ancient Japan.

D.L. Hawkins

Theory Evidence Notes
D.L.'s power may involve more ways of manipulating the molecules of his body than just phasing. At the end of the video about Niki and D.L. on the official NBC site, D.L. is called a "shape-shifter." They also refer to Niki's power being "Good and Evil" which seems unlikely. Niki Sanders has thus far not revealed any indication that her powers have something to do with the divide between ultimate good and ultimate evil. Therefore, it is possible that the editors simply made an error, since he hasn't displayed any other power than phasing to date. It is also possible that the editors did not make an error. Just because he hasn't displayed any other power than phasing, doesn't mean he can't.

Hiro's sword

Theory Evidence Notes
Future Hiro has come from an apocalyptic future where one needs a sword to defend oneself. None Based on Isaac's painting, it appears he'll get the sword long before any apocalypse
Since a gun would be completely useless if time were frozen, he uses the sword to defeat enemies. Hiro can move objects when time is stopped, but there's no evidence he can allow objects (like bullets) to move of their own accord.
He uses the sword to channel his powers. In Godsend, Hiro claims that having the sword will give him greater control of his power.
Some heroes, such as those with Claire's regeneration ability, might have to be decapitated to be killed, as in the "Highlander" mythos, particularly Sylar. None
He thinks having a sword would be cool. His reaction on learning the message While true, he first becomes interested in actually getting the sword after seeing Isaac's painting
Nightcrawler (a Marvel Comics character who possesses teleporting superpowers) uses a sword, and Hiro is a member of the Marvel Merry Marching Society. None As or more likely a coincidence than a rationale on Hiro's part.
With the sword, he will be a deadly adversary, since he will be able to stop time, attack his adversaries while they are helpless, then allow time to resume so that they will feel the effects of the wounds. It is hard to imagine how anyone will be able to defeat Hiro if he has enough warning to use his power to control time. We've seen that when Hiro "stops time", he can still interact with people and objects that are "frozen". This may be significant regarding Sylar's apparent resistance to bullets. The sword may be instrumental in defeating Sylar if/when the explanation behind his "bulletproofness" is further explained.
The sword will come in useful on Hiro's predicted trip back in time where he must confront a dinosaur. Hiro expresses grave concern over making significant alterations to history such as with stepping on a bug. He may consider this reasoning as well for using a sword (aside from fulfilling Isaac's painting vision and Peter's report of meeting future Hiro carrying a sword. Part of the motivation could be Hiro needing weapons as defense and not wanting to bring back firearms which could leave bullets or casings in the fossil record potentially altering discoveries in paleontology. (This presumes he succeeds in eventually leaving that time and doesn't become part of the fossil record himself, along with his sword.)
Hiro acquires the sword from the Natural History museum in New York, NY, when they finally get to NYC. The Museum has both a Japanese exhibit as well as Dinosaurs on display. Previews on the official Heroes site showed Hiro in what looked like a museum near a dinosaur fossil. They also showed him carrying a sword The sword Hiro acquired at the museum was revealed to be a bladeless replica, the original is owned by Linderman.
Future Hiro may come from a very bad future in which he felt compelled to go back to the past and risk a rift in time to try and change the future in which he exists. This future is probably post apocalyptic and low tech weapons may be the norm. Now that he has changed the past he might have set things in motion that may eliminate this future Hiro and his bad experiences that made him so serious and hard. Another theory for the sword maybe that it would cause less time rifting when in the past, since he has already accidentally gone to the prehistoric past and who knows where else in the five years. Future Hiro's comment that he was risking a rift just talking to Peter, his manner and long hair. Isaac's painting of Hiro fighting a dinosaur. Current previews on the official Heroes website show Hiro with a sword in the very near future, not a post-apocalyptic one.
The sword isn't for Hiro, it's for Niki. The sword will allow her two sides to be integrated and bring balance to her personality, giving her full access to her power. The samurai that originally possessed the sword was feared by everyone because he was brutal and powerful, just like Jessica.
The Sinner Made Sword Saint Theory : The sword belonged to furture Hiro, but in this present it is meant for Sylar. His uncontrolled power and oppressive childhood combined together are what were turning him into a psychopath. With the sword he gains control over both and becomes sane again and tries to atone for his murderous rampage, and at some point before he gains full controlof himself is transported to Feudal Japan. The beginning of the story of the ancient wielder of the sword, Takezo Kensei, sounds more like Sylar than Hiro.
The sword was Hiro's. Future Hiro traveled back in time and was known as Takezo Kensei. the painting of Takeo Kensei bears a distinct resemblance to Future Hiro (the long hair and soulpatch) This is a corollary of a previous theory.
Despite his encounter in the museum, Hiro will face a real dinosaur once he gets the sword. In Issac's painting, it looks as Hiro is facing the dinosaur with a naked blade. In the museum, when Hiro faced off against the statue, the sword was still in its' scabbard.

Intuitive aptitude

Theory Evidence Notes
Sylar's abilities may extend beyond just figuring out systems and objects.

His intuitive analysis may extend to figuring out "clues" about people and things, a sort of super-Sherlock Holmes level of observation and intuition.

When Sylar is first imprisoned in his cell and being questioned by Mr. Bennet (Fallout), he seems to quickly figure out who Claire is -- that she is the cheerleader he wanted, that she is Bennet's daughter, etc.

Given that he was previously misled on the cheerleader's identity (Homecoming), it is hard to explain how he suddenly came to these conclusions about Claire. If this theory proves true, Sylar figured this out by watching Bennet as they were talking and picking up on intuitive clues, bits of data he did not have before he could "observe" Bennet. He did say that he can figure out what makes people "tick".

A counter-explanation is that Sylar possesses some other telepathic, ability similar to Matt Parkman's and was reading Bennet's mind.

This seems less likely, however -- especially since The Haitian can easily block such abilities. Sylar's "native" power of intuition may have been much harder to suppress, and he could still use it even while imprisoned. If his powers were slowly coming back to him after being captured, it may make sense that his first ability was also the first to return and be usable. Also, the Haitian's blocking ability seems to work best against powers that require concentration, and Sylar's intuitive aptitude may be something he does unconsciously.

Isaac's paintings

Theory Evidence Notes
Isaac finally paints one that shows that Sylar will be on the hilltop after the incident at the high school. Eden goes there with The Haitian, and together they apprehend him. This would explain how Eden and The Haitian were casually waiting (and hiding), knowing Sylar would appear. Mr. Bennet asked Eden to make Isaac another painting Eden refused to force Isaac to use heroin again. Mr. Bennet told Eden to use the paintings as a guide, so they were up there because of the former paintings not any new ones.
The visions in Isaac's paintings may be inevitable and fated to occur. So far, the envisioned imagery occurs, even if the underlying event/circumstances are not as initially expected, i.e. a cheerleader died even though it did not turn out to be Claire as believed and feared by the characters. This would be in contrast to Hiro witnessing evidence of Isaac's death in a possible future that may or may not be preventable or altering time such as by inserting himself in Charlie's birthday photo where originally he was not. By this reasoning, the explosion, or the vision of it at the least, may be fated to occur simply because Isaac has already painted it (presuming it is one of his vision paintings, as it seems to be). In an interview, the writers implied that Isaac's paintings are only a possible future outcome. Nevertheless, so far they have all come true. Minor changes to the predictions have been shown, for example, in the painting of Claire on the steps, with Sylar's shadow, Claire is alone, but when the event occurred, Peter was with Claire, this suggests that the paintings don't have to occur exactly as they seem. One consideration is that if the visions in the paintings could be completely averted, the story could be left with the inconsistency of Isaac's paintings (done using his power) no longer foretelling the future. However, this could be addressed, possibly as a predicted event that was barely prevented at great effort and cost (presuming, of course, the Heroes will succeed in preventing the explosion somehow). Or the inconsistency could be ignored as was Charlie's not seeming to remember Hiro from 6 months before when meeting him again.

Sanjog Iyer

Theory Evidence Notes
Sanjog is Sylar Sanjog's first initial and last name is "S.Iyer". Sylar is Gabriel Gray
Sanjog is the ghost of Mohinder's sister Shanti None Sanjog is a living boy. Shanti is a dead girl. (Homecoming)
Sanjog is stuck in the dream world. None Mohinder meets a very much awake Sanjog. (Homecoming)
Iyer may have the power to see the past, not just entering other's minds while they dream. He was able to see the murder of Mohinder's father, for example. This event, as far as we know, was not witnessed by either Mohinder or Sanjog. Sylar's stopped watch seems enough to suggest that the vision is accurate, as neither Mohinder nor Sanjog had seen that watch either.
Sanjog was murdered by Sylar, and Sylar obtained his ability. This is how Sylar appeared in Peter's dream when he was in his cell in Fallout. Nathan changed from Nathan to Sylar in Peter's dream in Fallout Sanjog was most definitely still alive during the events leading up to Homecoming, because Mohinder met him. It's possible that Sylar killed Charlie in Midland, flew to India, killed Sanjog, and flew back to Odessa, but it seems unlikely. Another reason is because Sylar was in the metal room at the time at Mr. Bennet's company. The Haitian would have prevented him from using his powers.

Jumpsuit

Theory Evidence Notes
The Exterminator works for Mr. Bennet, and his appearance was a ruse for Mohinder to meet, and trust, Eden. Eden was planted by Mr. Bennet, and the gun the exterminator uses is the same style as the weapon Eden attempted to use on Sylar.

Mr. Linderman

Theory Evidence Notes
Linderman is Sylar. None Sylar is Gabriel Gray
Linderman will eventually play a bigger part in the series. He is already connected to most of the heroes
Linderman may be Mr. Bennet. Mr. Bennet is able to access Nathan's room in Linderman's hotel. Nathan Petrelli knows Linderman, but he didn't recognize Mr. Bennet when he was kidnapped by him.
Linderman may be funding the AWI. He has money, and is connected to most of the heroes. His interest in Isaac Mendez's paintings may indicate his knowledge of their significance and of the existence of superhuman powers.
Linderman could be Hal Sanders. He's never seen, he has quite a bit of money, and he lives in Vegas. He would have had to have sent men to collect from his own daughter, and have blackmailed her into sleeping with a married stranger. Hal, while an abusive, murdering alcoholic, doesn't seem that depraved (yet).
Linderman is Mr. Bennet's mysterious employer. See "Linderman is funding the AWI"
Linderman is an evolved human. Linderman appears to be a key "villain" in the series, who already has somewhat sinister connections to most of the heroes. A villainous superhuman would be an appropriate enemy for the heroes.
Linderman is Nathan and Peter Petrelli's actual father. None Nathan's campaign is funded by Linderman. Linderman was an associate of Mr. Petrelli, Nathan and Peter's - supposed - father. Linderman appears to know a lot about enhanced humans. Nathan and Peter, being siblings, may have inherited their powers from a parent. Mrs. Petrelli does not appear to have any powers.
Mr. Linderman is Claire's father Claire's dad was seen in some kind of office, Mr. Linderman is presumably in his office most of the time. Spoilers indicate that Claire's father is a familiar character and Linderman is as familiar as it gets
Mr. Linderman is Hiro's father. He has some amount of workers under him, and they refer to him as "Big Boss." Also, this would help to connect Linderman's ownership of the sword to the thug who kidnapped Hiro and Ando, saying the Big Boss (Hiro's father) wants him to stop his quest.
Mr. Linderman is a Shapeshifter None. Linderman has been Sylar's Cockroach and Mohinder the Lizard. He may also have shapeshifted into Hiro's dad to trick him. And if a live dinosaur is to battle Hiro, it could be Linderman.

The list

Theory Evidence Notes
Sylar is using a copy of the list to locate his victims. According to Mohinder, six of the people on the list, including James Walker and Charlie Andrews, have been killed
Sylar killed Chandra Suresh to obtain a complete copy of the list.
Sylar created his own "better" list using his intuition. Chandra's original list never made it to Sylar as it was on the flash drive Mohinder found and had to be decoded. One episode shows Sylar making his own list with a map on the wall and saying it was better than Chandra's.
Some fans also believe Mr. Bennet is using a copy of the list. He has located some of the evolved humans on the list, notably Nathan Petrelli and Matt Parkman However, his organization predates Chandra's research, so if he is using it, it's a recent development. Perhaps previous to Suresh's list the AWI was merely stumbling across the special people. With the list they could target them far from home where time off wouldn't be missed. The preview after Episode:Fallout makes it clear that he's at least aware of the list. However, in Episode:Godsend, he as much as admitted he does not have a copy of the list.
Felipe Acerra, not Gabriel Gray, is Patient Zero. Felipe is the first name listed on the list. There's no indication that the list is sorted in chronological order, so there's no reason to believe Felipe's name being listed first has any special significance. The list could easily be alphabetical, which would put Felipe at or near the top.
The Haitian is on the list, but under his real name Not all of the names are known, so his is bound to be on there. If he is on the list it wouldn't make sense to list him as "the Haitian" since Chandra didn't know him as that, or at all for that matter.

The Mark

Theory Evidence Notes
The mark may be used by Mr. Bennet and The Haitian to mark heroes they've already encountered Both Matt and Ted were abducted. Both have the mark. To date, the Haitian has used his powers on Ted, Matt, Sylar, Eden, Zach, Sandra Bennet, Lyle, and possibly Claire. He attempted to use his powers on Nathan.
The mark may be an immature state of Jessica's marking of the symbol, indicating that the mark might develop as the character gains more experience with their powers. The double lines look similar to those on The Symbol It seems likely that Ted's powers have been around awhile, and Matt's powers first appeared roughly the same time as Niki's. If the mark was an indication of how long the hero had been using their powers, their marks should be more like hers. Hana Gitelman believes the mark to be an incision, and in HDYSAEM2, Ted discovers the needle is used to inject a radioactive isotope which is normally used to track wild animals, leaving the mark.
The mark may be used merely to denote a connection between the two characters, possibly in opposition to characters marked with The Symbol like Jessica and The Haitian. In HDYSAEM2, Ted discovers the needle is used to inject a radioactive isotope which is normally used to track wild animals, leaving the mark.
The mark is a scar left by an insertion of a tracking device. Greg Grunberg implied this in an interview with TV Guide The mark has only been shown on those who have been abducted by Mr. Bennet and The Haitian (Matt, Ted, and Hana). Also, in Wireless, Part 4, Hana describes the mark on her neck as "strange incisions." In HDYSAEM2, Ted discovers the needle is used to inject a radioactive isotope which is normally used to track wild animals, leaving the mark.
The mark is a side-effect of the Haitians memory-erasing ability. It hasn't been shown on others he has mind wiped, but that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't there. In HDYSAEM2, Ted discovers the needle is used to inject a radioactive isotope which is normally used to track wild animals, leaving the mark.
The Symbol is a representation of RNA, so the mark is something else. Symbol directly resembles RNA, but missing a rung....which might be the actual genetic abnormality. The mark's appearance indicates it may be two of the "rungs" or base-pair bonds of The Symbol. Sylar was noted to be messing with his DNA and probably RNA as well...RNA is also in the brain, which would make sense to this theory. In HDYSAEM2, Ted discovers the needle is used to inject a radioactive isotope which is normally used to track wild animals, leaving the mark.

Ando Masahashi

Theory Evidence Notes
Ando has the power to focus or amplify other people's powers. Every time Hiro uses his powers near Ando he is able to do what he wants. When Hiro is not near Ando his powers are unpredictable. Also, when Isaac was around Ando, he was able to paint the future successfully without drugs. Very Unlikely. When Hiro attempts to go back in time and save Charlie in Episode 8 ("Seven minutes to midnight"), he moves back 6 Months to April, far further than the day he intended to, despite his proximity to Ando. If Ando's ability is just developing it might explain this though. Also, Ando is next to Hiro at the Museum of Natural History, and Hiro is only able to slow time, not completely stop it (Godsend).

The Message

Theory Evidence Notes
Claire's life will somehow be put into danger in a non-physical sense. Her ability to regenerate makes her immune to most physical threats Sylar removing her brain seems like a physical threat. As seen when she "died"" during Brody's assault, an injury to the brain can prevent her from healing. However, since Future Hiro didn't specify what she needed to be saved from, it's possible she's still in danger.
Claire may be in danger of being killed by having her brain removed by Sylar. This is supported by one of Isaac's paintings. Isaac's painting depicts Jackie, but Sylar only attacked her because he thought she was the evolved human. As he tells Mr. Bennet in Fallout, he would have done the same to Claire.
Claire's survival is critical, so that Peter will be able to utilize her regenerative ability in a showdown with Sylar.
If Sylar is able to remove Claire's brain, he will become indestructible and destroy the world.
The message is two different commands, meaning the heroes have to save the cheerleader, and save the world. Ando seems to think so. Hiro thinks the latter part depends on the former part, and it's his "future self" who gave the message.
Claire's regenerative ability will be used to enter the radioactive area caused by the explosion to stop Peter Petrelli (or possibly Theodore Sprague) from dying/overreacting.
The message is vague for a reason. Had Future Hiro been too specific with the message (relaying Claire's full name, her address, or even the town where she lived), he might have created a paradox (causing a rift). Had this occurred, he would instantly have been pulled back into his "present" This is similar to what happened after his attempt to persuade Charlie to come to Japan with him.

Mr. Muggles

Theory Evidence Notes
Some fans have speculated that it's significant that Mr. Muggles licked Claire's blood after her run-in with the garbage disposal. It probably isn't since its been stated and confirmed that the power is in the brain not blood. If he were to develop abilities it would ruin the continuity of the show.

Matt Parkman

Theory Evidence Notes
Matt is in a different time than the rest of the heroes Prior to Fallout, the only events connecting Matt to the rest took place Six Months Ago. He interviews Peter and Claire in Fallout. Audrey mentions he still hasn't called his wife since finding out about her affair.
Matt is Claire's biological father and he does not know it. Tim Kring said "Claire's biological father just might be someone fans are already familiar with."

Patient Zero

Theory Evidence Notes
Mohinder Suresh was incorrect to believe that his father, Chandra, considered Sylar to be Patient Zero. As late as Genesis, Chandra apparently believed he was "close to finding" Patient Zero. He would not consider himself "close" if he believed Sylar, whom he had met months earlier, was Patient Zero. It seems extremely unlikely that Sylar could be Patient Zero in the traditional sense of the term -- the first individual case of a particular condition. The "evolved human" genetic code has apparently been spreading around the world, starting from an individual in North America, but Sylar is far too young to be an ancestor of all the known evolved humans, most of whom are in his own age group.

When Chandra Suresh was interested in Sylar's powers, Sylar was known only as Gabriel Gray.

Peter's scar

Theory Evidence Notes
Peter's scar will be on his Left side His bangs cover the right side of his face when he meets Future Hiro. If his hair covered the scar, he wouldn't look so different without it. (Collision)
Peter will get the scar before he meets Hiro face-to-face. Future Hiro apparently had never seen him without it. Future Hiro only says he looks "different" without the scar. After five years of seeing Peter with the scar, it may just be disconcerting to see him five years younger without the scar.
Sylar will get jealous of Peter's power empathy and will try to remove his brain, the attempt will be stopped, however, by the other heroes. Which will leave Peter with a horizontal scar along his forehead. When future Hiro meets Peter, his eyes travel upward. Also, it can be assumed that a man would look very different with a scar along the entire length of his forehead, and Sylar has met Peter and may have an intuitive understanding of his power.
Either Claire will die, or Peter will never see her again after he gets his scar. None While wounds healed by Claire's power leave no scars, there's no reason to assume that a scar from a wound Peter healed normally would disappear if he encountered her later.
Peter will get the scar from exploding. None None
Peter will no longer get the scar. Future Hiro changed the future by going back and telling Peter about saving Claire which only changed the future of that timeline and not his creating an alternate dimension, kind of like Future Trunks in DBZ. It's possible that Peter received the scar in the timeline in which Claire was not saved, and will not receive the scar.

Peter's visions

Theory Evidence Notes
Peter's visions are not entirely predictive and can be changed. When Peter explodes in his vision he does not yet have a visible scar which future Hiro said he will have. Also, his dream about Charles Deveaux didn't come true In Peter's vision of the explosion, Claire is alive in the vision, implying that this cannot be the actual end of the world.
Peter can envision himself as other people rather than himself. Peter dreamt he was flying when, in reality, Nathan flies. This could also be the case with the bomb. He can be seeing himself as Ted or Sylar.
Peter's power revolves around empathy, and therefore allows him to put himself in the shoes of others during these prophetic visions. As said above, he sees himself fly when it's actually Nathan who is capable of doing so. His main power also seems to be empathetic, since no actual physical contact is required to absorb powers. With the bomb, he could easily be putting himself in the shoes of Ted or Sylar. As for the Jail Cell dream, it could be that Nathan is supposed to eventually turn to the darkside, since he turned into a face, which Peter associates with evil: Sylar.
Peter's visions are a lingering effect of duplicating Isaac's power of precognition, making them truly prophetic. The writers have suggested that some of the power he has absorbed remains with Peter later. Peter's interpretation of his visions is compatible with Isaac's prophecies and Hiro's experience in the future.
Peter's visions are not a separate power nor the result of his copying another person's power. They are a manifestation of his empathy powers allowing him to tap into the Collective unconscious of humanity. This would explain how Peter is seeing people who he has never met before but who are still connected to him in ways he can't yet percieve.
Peter's visions are merely symbolic of future events, and not literal representations of the future. In his explosion dream, Isaac is pulling Simone away from him. According to the Distractions preview, Isaac is kissing Simone, and Peter sees. This could be symbolic for Isaac "pulling her" away from Peter.

Monty and Simon Petrelli

Theory Evidence Notes
It is possible that Monty and Simon might have powers inherited from Nathan. Micah is a second-generation evolved human, as is Claire Bennet and possibly Molly Walker. Nathan and Peter are evolved siblings. Molly Walker has not yet demonstrated any superhuman ability.

Mr. Petrelli

Theory Evidence Notes
It is possible that Mr. Petrelli had powers. Mrs. Petrelli said that his depression involved delusions of grandeur, which is the same way Nathan describes Peter. His sons are evolved siblings. He worked for Mr. Linderman, who is probably aware of the recent evolutionary developments

Nathan Petrelli

Theory Evidence Notes
Nathan is Claire's biological father and he doesn't know it. Tim Kring said "Claire's biological father just might be someone fans are already familiar with." Claire's birth mother Meredith Gordon supposedly calls Claire's father, who wears a ring very similar to one Nathan has been seen wearing. (The Fix)

This seems unlikely, dependent on the mathematics. Claire is only 15 at this point in the show, Nathan is in his early 30's- meaning he would have been in his teens when he had a child with Meredith. Also, Meredith calls the person to let them know that their daughter found her- so this person must know about Claire.

Peter Petrelli

Theory Evidence Notes
Peter's power is empathy. This would give him the ability to channel powers and would explain his prophetic dreams about Nathan, and explain how he knows what he felt. According to Tim Kring: "Peter’s [power] is based on his empathy and his ability to connect with people and when he’s around them." This would also match the theory that their abilities are based on their personalities...or personality on abilities. Peter became a nurse to help people, so gaining empathy would just further his wanting to help.
Peter has some unknown additional power that is or causes these dreams and blackouts. According to the writers, each character has only one innate power.
Peter's impending explosion, foreseen in Fallout, may be caused by the proximity of many other evolved humans, whose power he absorbs all at once; it's too much power for him to handle. After being in close proximity to several others in a short time, Peter appears weak and sickly. (Fallout)
Peter's vision of himself exploding may not be a prophecy; it may be form of empathic communication, like some of his other dream experiences seem to be. His dream about Charles Deveaux was not prophetic. Neither was his dream about Nathan and Heidi's accident, which was occurring at the same time Peter was asleep. If so, Peter is wrong to think he will be the cause of the explosion. Also, Claire is alive in the vision, implying that this cannot be the actual end of the world.

In Godsend, more of Peter's vision is seen, including scenes with Claude laughing while stealing money. These portions of Peter's vision, at least, have definitely proven to be prophetic.

Peter may use the vision as a warning that he needs to learn how to better control his powers in order to prevent a disaster like the explosion. He may now start making an effort to learn to control his powers in order to prevent the explosion from happening or to limit its destruction. Spoilers indicate he will gain a mentor who helps him control his powers.
As seen in a painting in the background of Isaac's room at Primatech Paper Co, Peter could evolve into something akin to the Human Torch. Isaac's painting
If Peter's power is mimicking/copying the special abilities of others, why did he stick just to Claire's healing power when he was very close to Sylar (and a bit farther away from Eden and the Haitian)? We don't know how close Peter has to be to another superhuman to duplicate their powers, or how long he has to be near them. It is possible he didn't get Claire's healing power until after she came close to him after he fell off the bleachers. Also, he may be unable to duplicate the acquired powers of Sylar (as opposed to his innate power of intuitive analysis). Also note that Sylar used his acquired ability of telekinesis to launch lockers that did not hit Peter. It is possible that Peter unknowingly used telekinesis to prevent damage to himself. This was suggested in the Q & A session with the writers. It also looks like the lockers are just flying around him. It is probable that Peter had access to all of Sylar's powers, but did not know how to wield them and he was using the telekinesis reflexively.
In the vision, Peter explodes from mimicking too many powers at once. All the known heroes are near him before exploding From the way the other heroes are responding to him, this seems most likely. Claire says she is sorry, Simone is running to him, Nathan is walking towards him determinedly, etc... The dream may also not be prophetic in nature at all, but merely a means for his body to explain its dilemma; that it cannot mimic so many powers simultaneously, probably causing damage similar to what is occurring to Sylar. It would explain why Peter suddenly "blows" when his brother gets too close. The New York setting as well as serving the content of Issac's painting may be his subconscious linking real life events to a dream. This would also explain the shorter Nathan/Sylar dream, though it doesn't explain how Peter could render images of Micah, Niki, D. L. and Hiro whom he has never met, as well as Sylar, who he had seen very briefly. It also doesn't explain the other Heroes' reactions to him in his dream.
In the vision, Peter sees himself as Sylar, who loses control of Theodore Sprague's power after stealing it. His trench coat and watch are similar to Sylar's Peter has been shown to wear a trench coat since the beginning of the series, and many characters wear watches. Peter's watch in the vision is not broken and is a different shape than Sylar's.

In Godsend, more of Peter's vision is seen, including conversation between himself and Nathan. Nathan addresses him as Peter.

Peter is manifesting the abilities of a female human torch whom we have not yet met "A new female hero is joining the cast for a mini arc, and this person's power is unlike anything we've seen on the show so far. All I'll say is, she'd come in very handy on Survivor." Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide) In Peter's vision, the others act afraid of him, even before anything happens. If they knew he was going to "explode", they would be running away a much faster.
Peter exploding may be a self-fulfilling prophecy Some of Isaac's paintings have happened because the paintings were seen Peter will contact the others and tell them he is the one who is going to explode. They'll believe this because of the exploding man painting and barricade the city, etc. Then since he will be by all of them at once he will explode because of it. And he would not have if he hadnt contacted them all.
Peter's Regeneration after his encounter with Sylar was incomplete. When we see Peter in Fallout, he is coughing and sickly. It would appear that he did not heal completely. Peter's illness could also be attributed to overuse of his powers or coming into contact with too many other heroes in too short a timespan.
Peter can still duplicate powers that he has copied, even when the original source is gone. In an interview, Tim Kring has implied that Peter may be able to reproduce powers that he copied previously.
Peter has visions of himself as Nathan since, as brothers, they share the same blood. When Peter falls with Sylar, their blood becomes mixed thereby giving Peter visions of himself as Sylar. None whatsoever.
Future Hiro contacted Peter because Peter is the only person who can hold a conversation with him while he has stopped time. Peter's experience with Claude supports the theory. By duplicating Claude's invisibility power, Peter made himself immune to it. Duplicating Hiro's space-time manipulation power may have a similar effect. It is still unclear whether Future Hiro has enough control of his power to exclude other people from the time-stopping effect.
Peter's Empathy may function like a power tool - the amount of time he spends with a person (i.e. the charger) and how close he gets to them physically determines the duration and strength of what powers, if any, Peter manifests. As the series has progressed, Peter's range appears to be increasing as the time he needs to spend with a person decreases. Peter first mimics, albeit weakly, the flying powers of the brother he usually only sees for a few minutes at a time on a regular basis in Genesis. In Don't Look Back, he manifests a weaker form of Issac's precognitive drawing when he draws a picture of himself levitating while Nathan watches after briefly treating Issac before am ambulance arrives. We also find out that Peter only manifested true flight powers after touching his brother's hand for several seconds. In Hiros, Peter is able to manifest Issac's powers after spending several minutes talking to him in close proximity. In Homecoming, Peter only manifests Claire's ability after touching her briefly while fleeing Sylar and spending only a few seconds with her. It is possible that the healing power does not fully kick in until Claire returns to find Peter badly wounded. In Fallout, Peter manifests the same headaches Matt has (a side-effect of his telepathy) before Matt even enters the room and discovers telepathy once Matt is in the same room. In Godsend, Peter copies the powers of Claude (the Invisible Man) from several yards away.

Powers

Theory Evidence Notes
All evolved human powers are manifestations or variations on the classic psychic abilities of telepathy, telekinesis, and extra-sensory perception (ESP). All powers appear to originate from a particular mutation in the brain. If true, enhanced strength and regeneration are manifestations of telekinesis; mental manipulation is a variant of telepathy; precognition and electronic data transception are types of ESP, etc.
Children of evolved humans are likely to have powers, and they manifest them at an earlier age than "first generation" evolved humans. Micah Sanders and Claire Bennet discovered their powers at an earlier age than the other powered characters. Micah's parents are both powered, and Claire's birth parents may be powered as well. Molly Walker's father presumably had powers (he was on the List and targeted by Sylar), but she has not yet shown any powers. We don't know if either of Sanjog Iyer's parents has powers. We also don't know enough about Simon and Monty Petrelli to determine the power status of children with only one powered parent.
Natural-born super powers are a result of evolution and adaptation being influenced by the subconscious whims of the subject. In short, a person gets an ability that helps them in their day-to-day life, based on what they think they need. Peter's empathy would be useful in an occupation (nurse) that depends on feeling and healing the suffering of others. Nathan first manifested his flight power when he needed a fast escape. Niki vocally expressed her desire to be two people and her worries about being strong enough for her son several times. D.L.'s ability to phase through matter would certainly be useful for a man in prison seeking escape. Sylar's ability to understand how complex systems work would be a boon to any watchmaker. The characters who seemingly do not fit this pattern are the same ones who may have been given powers unnaturally by AWI.
AWI has the capability to alter the DNA of people they deem worthy and give them powers. Mr. Bennet made an off-hand comment about how the people with powers "don't always deserve them" and how his organization is working to fix that. Also, the preview featuring Hana and Ted suggests that Hana was genetically altered to be given superpowers and she believes the same thing happened to Ted. At this point, we only have Hana's word that she was genetically altered and that AWI didn't just speed up her powers manifesting. Given that she is out for revenge against HRG by any means necessary, her word is suspect.
AWI doesn't "give" powers just makes them manifest earlier. Matt Parkman's ability makes sense because as a cop he would need to interview suspects and reading minds would get out the truth. Hana was an intelligence officer and being able to receive enemy communications before they do would make sense. The needle could be a serum to identify abilities. They couldn't have given Matt abilities because his name was on the list beforehand. They were looking for abilities in Sylar and maybe by looking for the abilities (such as in Hana, Ted and Matt), a side effect is the massive augmentation of their original ability. Also, if they do have a copy of the list, they may be using the serum or to register the abilities and keep track of evolved humans.
The powers are designed by a higher power There are many references to religion in Heroes. For example, many of the characters are named after biblical figures. The creators of the show have also hinted that there's a supernatural element to the character's powers. Only 6 out of the 24 main and supporting characters listed in this wiki's character portals have biblical names. That's a lower percentage than you would find in any phone book.

Primatech Paper Co.

Theory Evidence Notes
The Primate Technology Theory : Primatech has been pointed out to also be the word "Primate" and the letters "CH", which some have speculated that may represent 'chromosome" as several powered characters are described as having chromosomal abnormalities indirectly. It could also represent the fusion of the two words "Primate and "Tech". The name "Primatech" could be split into "Primate" and "Tech" or "CH".This is further enforced by the fact that the telephone number for Primatech Paper Co. is 1-800-Prima16, where "Prima16" could be a form of Leet for Primate.

Also on the business card and on the Primatech Paper Co. Website they say that they were founded in 1962, the year Crick, Watson, and Wilkins won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine "for their discoveries concerning the molecular structure of nucleic acids and its significance for information transfer in living material" (ie DNA). This could be an AWI inside joke or part of their origin.

Primatech Paper Co. is owned by or does business with Dunder Mifflin (The Office). The show has already done indirect cross overs with Las Vegas and Friday Night Lights, both NBC shows.

Primatechpaper.com

Theory Evidence Notes
Mr. Bennet has undiscovered secret files Primatech Paper's logo on the About Us [1] page opens a login which can be accessed with user name: bennet and password: claire. Accessing the hidden files within (see Hana) requires an additional login user name: bennet and password: HGghx11a. After three failed login attempts, access to Mr. Bennet's secret files may be blocked.

Rift

Theory Evidence Notes
Hiro may have experienced a rift in Six Months Ago, when he tried to go back in time to prevent Charlie's murder. In the episode, they had just confessed their love for each other and were about to kiss when Hiro abruptly and unexpectedly jumped through time to the present. He later told Ando that he tried repeatedly to go back to save Charlie, but couldn't. In theory, space-time spontaneously corrected itself to keep Hiro from creating a causality paradox; he could not do anything in the past that would keep him from having a reason to go to the past.
The T-Rex in Isaac's latest painting (Fallout) may have appeared in the present because of a temporal rift, or Hiro may have entered the past because of one. Both Hiro and Future Hiro have mentioned the possibility of causing a temporal rift with their powers. Exactly what they mean by a "temporal rift" is not yet clear. In Godsend the dinosaur in Isaac's painting is just a model. It has not yet been disproved that Hiro does not face a real T-Rex, as most of Isaac's paintings come to pass with remarkable similarity in detail. In theory, this could be an effect of painting without his heroin.

Micah Sanders

Theory Evidence Notes
Micah will build a suit similar to Iron Man's. None There's no evidence that Micah's abilities extend to building new technology. He's only been shown repairing existing technology.
The most likely power that Micah was exhibiting is known as technopathy, or the ability to control technology with one's mind. His repair of the payphone fits with other depictions of this power. However, all we've seen so far is the temporary repair of existing devices (motherboard, telephone).
Micah will build a cybernetic limb, like Forge and Cable; a time machine like Forge and Cable; an evolved human tracking or detecting device. None There's no evidence that Micah's abilities extend to building new technology. He's only been shown repairing existing technology.
Micah will become a first-class computer hacker. None His abilities shown to date are all hardware, not software, related.
Micah is unusual because he exhibits powers as a child. This is because both of his parents are also evolved humans. Micah used an out-of-order pay-phone to call his mother. He places his hand on ATMs and they dispense money The next youngest character to have powers is Sanjog Iyer -- who seems to be Micah's age -- followed by Claire Bennet, who is 15. Both of Micah's parents are evolved humans; at least one of Claire's biological parents was evolved; nothing is known about Sanjog's parents. All other powered characters did not become aware of their abilities until well into adulthood.
Micah is the one who distorted the recording of Niki and Linderman's thugs in the video camera. None Micah was at Tina's house when Niki first watched the video and saw that it was scrambled. Since his power seems to require physical contact with the device he would have no way to scramble it.

Niki Sanders

Theory Evidence Notes
Niki has Dissociative Identity Disorder and Jessica is her alternate personality. For some reason, only Jessica is able to tap into her powers for now. Apparently all superhuman powers are based in the brain, including Jessica's superhuman strength. Since the power is in her brain, not her muscles, it is plausible for only one personality to be able to access it. Niki's psychiatrist has diagnosed her as a classic case of Multiple Personality Disorder, the older term for DID. However in Godsend Niki snaps a guard's baton in half with her bare hands
Niki had control of her powers at one point, but HRG captured her, and had The Haitian wipe her memory. Her old personality, that The Haitian erased might not have been fully erased, which explains her alter-ego. Other characters that the AWI has studied (Ted Sprague and Matt Parkman) have a distinctive mark, and Jessica has a tattoo of the Symbol. This hypothesis does not explain why all of her friends/family know her as Niki and not as Jessica.

The mark and the symbol are not necessarily connected.

Niki will go to the "dark side". None
Niki's other personality is actually her sister Jessica, who may have had an ability before dying and somehow came to take over Niki's body so she could continue protecting her. The Jessica persona definitely believes it's the dead sister. In "Six Months Ago", the way Jessica (Personality) speaks is as if she is Jessica. A dead twin still being able to talk to or influence their "other half" is a common idea in many stories involving twins.
Niki is a medium. She can talk to the dead but has so far only had contact with her sister Jessica who takes over Niki's body when she has things to take care of.
Given that Niki is a close analogue to Marvel Comics' Incredible Hulk, if this homage continues, we may see an even stronger rage based personality or a full integration of the two (via hypnosis?) in the future. Both characters were abused as children, have physical and personality changes brought on by stress, and powers only accessible to one personality state
Niki can theoretically tap into the same power, but doesn't know how. The source of Jessica's superhuman strength is somehow a part of her brain, as are the abilities of other evolved humans, and the personae share a brain In Godsend Niki snaps a guard's baton in half with her bare hands
Jessica is a sleeper agent for the Yamagato Corporation's Genetic Research Division, which is headed by Hiro's Father (played by George Takei in a January 29th episode). Niki Sanders is the quiet little web-stripper from Las Vegas whose marriage has gone sour and has left her stranded, alone and desperate...or is she? Niki Sanders may be a sleeper agent for the Yamagato Corporation. Since it is possible that Hiro receives his katana from his father, it is also likely that the symbol on the handle of the sword (the RNA symbol) is the Corporation's Genetic Division logo, who has a hand in the creation of the evolved humans, or at least funded Suresh's research and used the logo after it appeared in repeating patterns in the results. The logo also appears on Suresh's book, which supports this theory, since the financial backers would probably want themselves included on the cover.

When Jessica appears, the same symbol appears on Niki's back, tying her to the source of the symbol in some way. The ink used to make this tattoo could be temperature controlled, and when the personality switch occurs as an identifying mark, Niki's body temperature increases or decreases causing the mark to appear. Like all sleeper agents, Niki likely has a trigger that switches her from suburban stripper mom to super hero assassin. Someone like Niki should have no knowledge of where to find or how to operate military hardware. Jessica, however, was precise in her shooting of D.L. Hawkins- she knew where to find/buy weapons off-the-market and how to conduct herself on a hunt. If Niki were exhibiting schizophrenic behavior, there still would be no way for her to know about all these things.

With the stress of her sister's death, Niki's trigger seems to have been damaged, and the layers of mental conditioning and brainwashing that she has undergone has eroded, allowing her to switch from Niki to Jessica in moments of duress or pressure. Jessica knows about her powers, has had obvious combat training and knows about the Niki persona, while Niki had no knowledge of her alter-ego until recently- all of these things are characteristic of a sleeper agent. But why would Niki choose the name of her sister for her sleeper persona? It is possible that Jessica is the real personality, and used her twin sister's name as a cover- since Niki could get close to someone as an unassuming woman, where Jessica's name could be recognized.

There is no indication that Yamagato Industries has a genetic research division.

There is no evidence that the Symbol is in any way associated with Yamagato Industries.

Jessica (possibly Niki's twin sister) is a soul/spirit existing inside Niki's brain. Suresh once stated that if a soul does exist scientifically, it will most likely exist in the brain. (Six Months Ago). If Jessica is Niki's twin sister, and it is true that twins tend to have the strongest psychological links, Jessica's soul most likely exists within Niki's brain.
Jessica is a spirit. Her presence caused the interference on Niki's tape. Spirits hypothetically cause static interference. Linderman's tape, showing Jessica committing adultery with Nathan showed no static interference.
The sword that Hiro is trying to obtain isn't for him, it's for Niki. The sword will allow her two sides to be integrated and bring balance to her personality, giving her full access to her power. The samurai that originally possessed the sword was feared by everyone because he was brutal and powerful, just like Jessica.
In order to get out of prison, Jessica Sanders will make a deal with Mr. Linderman and as a result, will become his newest assassin. Spoilers seem to suggest that in episode 14 (Distractions), Mr. Linderman will be recruiting a new assassin. Jessica wants out of prison, thus she will be person.
Niki's powers are her enhanced strength. Jessica's power is the ability to possess other bodies, like a symbiote. In Godsend, Niki breaks a cop's nose and snaps his nightstick in half. Although the cast commentaries on NBC.com indicate that Ali Larter believes this was Niki's first display of enhanced strength, it's also possible that Jessica took over to protect Niki.

Theodore Sprague

Theory Evidence Notes
Theodore is the source of the explosion in New York. (He isn't the explosion but his powers are the source) Ted says he doesn't know what would happen if he were shot, that "Maybe I'll wipe out this whole city like an atomic bomb!" Ted being the cause would be consistent with Isaac's "Exploding Man" painting.
Theodore is the bomb. Peter absorbs his power to contain radiation. Peter then becomes the bomb. As above
Theodore is the individual who sent Hana the e-mail regarding Mr. Bennett. The sender's handle appears to be "TEDDYBEAR," the nickname Ted's wife had for him.

Space-time manipulation

Theory Evidence Notes
It is possible to change past events. It seems unlikely that the future Hiro would risk a rift if there were not some possiblity that his powers allowed him to change his own past. Even if causality would not allow him to take direct hand in things (as he tried and failed to do with Charlie), he could still steer past events indirectly, as he did with Peter From a writing stand-point, it doesn't make sense for Hiro and Issac to have the powers that they do if they cannot use those powers to change future events.
Issac's paintings show what might happen, not what will happen. For the most part, every event that Issac has painted has come true - albeit not exactly as envisioned but there is one exception to this so far; in Collision, we see one of Issac's visions from Issac's perspective and he sees Claire alone on the steps and falling down alone. Later, in Homecoming, because of Issac's paintings, Peter is there to help Claire up and see her to safety. Given the speed at which Peter is running (he is on Claire just as she falls), he should have been in the painting too if Issac were seeing a predetermined event.
Rifts are holes in space and time, caused by paradoxes and other conflicts in causality. They may possibly interfere with the abilities of time-travelers. They are not portals in space and time. Future Hiro speaks of rifts as something to be avoided in Hiros. The causality paradox Hiro creates by going into the past (i.e. if he saves Charlie from Sylar, he never has a reason to go back and save her) could theoretically create a rift. Hiro's powers do not function properly after his trip to the past to save Charlie Andrews. While a rift, in science fiction literature, can refer to either a portal in space/time or a wound in space/time, it seems clear by the context of Future Hiro's remarks that they are using the later sense of the word as rifts are suggested to be a Very Bad Thing.
There is some kind of higher-power/cosmic authority that prevents Hiro from creating paradoxes. Hiro's forced return to Present-Day Japan and inability to use his powers to go back and make further attempts to save Charlie Andrews suggest that something is blocking his ability to go back to that specific point in space time. Also, Future Hiro has to get someone else to go back to Present-Day Odessa to save Claire rather than taking matters into his own hands, perhaps due to his inability to return to that point in space and time due to a rift his past self created.
Hiro's presence in the past manipulates objects, but not people's memories. Charlie still had a Japanese Phrasebook in the Present after Hiro gave it to her in the past. Yet Charlie did not seem to remember Hiro when he first came to Odessa in the present nor did any of Hiro's co-workers at the diner recognize him despite his having worked there six months earlier. The change in the photograph of Charlie's birthday party also shows an object recording a historical event that nobody remembered. However, when Ando shows the photo to the Diner's manager, she does recognize Hiro, telling him "they were tight".
There is no predestination in the world of Heroes. If Hiro's trip to the past to try and save Charlie were meant to have happened, then all of his former co-workers at the diner (to say nothing of Charlie herself) should have recognized Hiro when he came into the diner for the first time, six months after he had been working there! From a writing stand-point, it doesn't make sense for Hiro and Issac to have the powers that they do if they cannot use those powers to change future events.

Mohinder Suresh

Theory Evidence Notes
Mohinder has lived in the US prior to Genesis. Mohinder has a license to drive a taxi cab. To acquire such a license in the 36 hours the show leaves him is impossible. Therefore he must have acquired the license, or at least its prerequisites, at a previous date. Mohinder may have been awarded the license illegally. Mohinder's license expires on a day that doesn't exist. It's probably a fake, but this could merely be a production gaffe.
Mohinder is on the list Mr. Bennet asks him if he's on the list and he hesitates. He doesn't know but it's a possibility

Mohinder's taxi license

Theory Evidence Notes
Mohinder's taxi license is a fake. To acquire such a license in the 36 hours the show leaves him is impossible, and it expires on February 30, 2007. February only has 28 days in 2007...and never has 30 days. The Chelsea Cab Company boss appeared desperate to hire somebody.

Sylar

Theory Evidence Notes
Sylar is Mr. Linderman or works for him. None Sylar is Gabriel Gray. He seems to be working alone.
Similarly to Peter, Sylar has the ability of absorption. However, Sylar has found a way to prolong the effects indefinitely, through Chandra Suresh's research. He knows that if he eats the brain of someone with abilities, he is able to control those abilities. This is the reason why the heroes must Save the Cheerleader. If they don't save Claire, then he will gain Rapid Regeneration and will become almost unstoppable. Sylar is absorbing powers, but he is not a power mimic. He was able to discover how to absorb powers without Chandra's help.
Sylar was a test subject of Chandra Suresh who manipulated his genes to give him all of the researched powers. This manipulation, however, has had a terrible side effect which causes his split personality (like Niki) to be extremely violent. Sylar's message Sylar discovered how to absorb powers without Chandra's help, and his insanity, while probably exacerbated by his new powers (according to Mr. Bennet in Fallout), predates it.
Sylar might have every power the heroes have combined. Sylar seems to exhibit multiple powers While Sylar is confirmed to have multiple powers, he'll only have the powers of all the heroes combined if he kills them like his other victims.
Sylar is Peter None, apart from similar powers Sylar is confirmed to be Gabriel Gray
Chandra Suresh moved to the United States to further his research; He joined forces with Mr. Bennet to perform this research, which involved the testing of Sylar. Chandra and Mr. Bennet became divided over ethical approaches, and Sylar, without help or containment found that he could gain others' abilities if he ate their brains. None Mr. Bennet and Chandra Suresh were not working together before Sylar began killing. (Six Months Ago) Sylar did develop the ability to absorb powers independently, but there is still no evidence that he eats brains.
It's possible that Sylar is not absorbing the heroes' powers, but is only a powerful telekinetic. All powers exhibited initially could be explained as telekinesis Sylar's telekinesis is itself absorbed. (Six Months Ago) Mr. Bennet confirms that Sylar has multiple abilities. (Fallout)
Sylar is dying because he attained his powers unnaturally or because his mutation ("power") was fatal, and the only way he's staying alive is by consuming the brains of other evolved humans. None While it's possible that either Sylar's power or his acquired powers are damaging him in some way, there's no evidence to support such a conclusion. Additionally, it's confirmed that he is taking (but not necessarily eating) brains to absorb powers.
Sylar's powers have something to do with emotion, due to what Chandra says to him and his intonation in Six Months Ago. None Sylar may have some sort of emotional power in addition to his others, but there's little evidence to support such a theory.
Sylar can alter his brain by studying the physical characteristics of other brains, which is why he is able to alter his own abilities. Sylar's gift of fixing objects and the profound instance when Sylar noticed his first victim's 'defect' supports this theory. Sylar can fix intricate devices, and brains, specifically his own. Micah seems to have a similar gift. Sylar's Intuitive Aptitude was confirmed in Fallout, but there's no clear evidence how he absorbs powers. Knowing how things work and being able to alter his own brain seem like two distinct powers. He has not yet fixed anything, mechanical or biological, other than manually. In Fallout, Mr. Bennet said it was his DNA he was altering.
Sylar takes the brains and somehow figures out how to take the parts with the ability and place it in his brain. He has convinced himself that either all the Heroes are broken or incapable of their abilities, or that he needs the powers just to satisfy his hunger for power. Sylar's Intuitive aptitude His comments to Mr. Bennet in Fallout support the idea that he is acquiring powers to be more "special".
Sylar believes all the Heroes need to be "fixed". Sylar's Intuitive aptitude
Episode 13 is titled The Fix
To get "a fix" is also a term used by drug users, meaning to satiate their need for their drug of choice. This could be a reference to Isaac or perhaps Sylar's own need for power.
Sylar may be heeding to the Evolutionary Imperative to kill dying Heroes and augment their powers to his for the sake of efficiency. This would explain Charlie, who is dying from a blood clot, and possibly Brian Davis. However, Evolutionary Imperative doesn't state anything about greed, so he might kill people out of his lust for being "special"
Sylar may also be a thematic foil to evolution itself. His profession of watchmaker is often used as an analogue to an intelligent designer. Rather than following an Evolutionary Imperative, he appears to be redesigning himself using existing powers as a template which he then improves upon.
Sylar is meant to be Peter's literary/thematic antithesis. He has a similar motivation (to be special), similar looks, (perhaps) similar powers, and both men have even talked to a Suresh who ultimately gave up on him before he could prove that he was special. One major difference between them is that Sylar's main power depends upon logic and Peter's power depends upon emotion - a common theme in many literary conflicts
Sylar is suspected to have learned one or more of the following powers from his victims: cryokinesis, concussive resistance or bullet-proof skin, super-jump, or flight:
  • Molly's father is frozen solid while eating dinner, mid bite, with the top of his skull removed. (Don't Look Back)
  • After being hit by several of Matt's bullets, Sylar rises a minute later, almost "lifting" himself from the floor, seemingly unharmed. The sound of metal hitting to the floor is heard, as if Sylar was able to shield himself from the bullets. (One Giant Leap)
  • Sylar escapes, possibly by leaping up the wall or flying. (One Giant Leap)
  • Sylar is relatively unharmed after a fall which badly mangled Peter. (Homecoming)
  • Sylar tells Eden that bullets can't harm him. (Fallout)
Sylar could have used his telekinesis to stop the bullets, lift himself up (giving the appearence of flight), and could have possibly protected himself from the fall with the same power. He could even, assuming his telekinesis is powerful enough to work on an atomic level, possibly flash-freeze people by slowing the molecular motion of the air around the person
Sylar may have unwittingly gained Charlie's blood clot when he killed her to acquire her power. None Given Sylar's ability to understand complex systems and repair them, he would probably have detected the clot and not duplicated it in himself. He may also not have gained Charlie's power as her brain was not removed.
Sylar is the anti-Chandra, much like he would be the antithesis to Peter. He finds the special people, much like Suresh did. He has a map like him. He even worked with him. While Chandra found the special people and helped them harness their own abilities, Gabriel would steal their abilities to become even more one of them.
Even if The Haitian were to remove the memories of Claire from Sylar, Sylar would not be effected because of the memory power he gained from Charlie. There is no reason to think that Charlie's exceptional memory capacity would grant special resistance to the Haitian's power to erase specific memories.
When Sylar fell from the bleachers in Homecoming, he lost a power which Peter then absorbed. This is why Peter appeared sick in "Fallout." He doesn't yet know how to handle the new power. None
Sylar could have the ability of shadow travel as a power. In the episode "One Giant Leap" when Matt corners Sylar, Sylar disappears without the camera watching and it didn't sound like he jumped. Also it was dark on the floor and on the side of the building. In the episode "Homecoming" when Peter tells Claire to go find people, when he turns back Sylar is in his face and when Peter was talking to Claire they didn't look like Sylar was approaching or else they would have looked at him. Sylar could have slithered through the shadows that were on the bleachers. In all the dark areas he seems to move faster than normal.
The Doctor Sylar Theory : Sylar has developed the power of Psychic Surgery. He has done this either through the combination of his intuitive abilities and telekinesis or by acquiring it from a victim. In the episode Godsend the AWI doctor that was running tests on Sylar claims the only power they can trace in him is telekinesis, in spite of his victims show the signs of other abilities being used against them. In an earlier episode Mohinder Suresh broke into Sylar's apartment and found medical books seeming to focus on medical procedures, primarily on the brain. This is perhaps a sign that his telekinesis is powerful enough and precise enough that he can use it to do intricate procedures on others and himself. Additionally, Sylar had to smash his victim's head open with an ornamental crystal to acquire his first stolen ability; now he seems to carry no tool or weapon. He could be using this ability to heal his injuries on the fly and to transplant the grey matter of his victims with special abilities to his own body, thus gaining their "specialness".
Sylar has a limited form of tissue regeneration as a side-effect of his ability. At one point, Sylar is able to alter his physiology enough to fool Hank into thinking that he is dead. He then appears to recover from the condition. (The Fix)

Sylar's victims

Theory Evidence Notes
Sylar also possesses the power of cryokinesis James Walker was frozen. (Don't Look Back) A cop in an unaired scene was also frozen. In an interview with Zachary Quinto, he believed Sylar had cryokinesis. Mr. Bennet confirms Sylar has more than one power. (Fallout)
Sylar is stealing the brains of evolved humans in order to incorporate their abilities into himself. Most victims whose brains have been removed have been evolved humans Sylar has corroborated this theory with his own statements. (Fallout)
Sylar may need to physically see the functioning brain (or believe he does) in order to give himself that power. He is removing and taking brains, not merely observing their owners.
Sylar, Harbinger of Death Theory : Sylar is only absorbing powers from people who are very ill or dying, and has not yet managed to fix all of the problems associated with the powers he takes on. He may be physically integrating the brain tissues of his victims into his own body somehow, and his body is rejecting these foreign tissues, making him physically sick. This is probably why he is so anxious to get Claire Bennet's abilities, because he thinks that they will not only save him, but allow him to keep acquiring more and more power, so become more special. The other victims just happened to be innocent bystanders who got in the way, with the possible exception of Chandra Suresh who either new too much and had that list, or just was the target of Sylar's Revenge. When he confronts Matt's character, he may have recognized Matt's ability with his own while Matt was helping Audrey Hanson during Sylar's break in at the FBI. He may have recognized him from his more complete list of people with abilities. Either way, it would explain why he left instead of taking Matt right there when his back was turned. He could intuit or had seen the Toll Matt's ability entails, so he left him until he got Claire's healing factor.

The other piece of evidence is Sylar's murder of Charlie Andrews at The Burnt Toast Diner. He may have chosen here because her ability rose from or was causing her inoperable blood clot. Not enough is known about the remaining victims to tell if they had any health issues yet. ||

Sylar has only successfully transfered one ability Sylar has used telekinesis against Peter (Homecoming) and Eden (Fallout) Sylar hasn't shown any sign of possessing aquired abilities beyond the telekinesis. Hank informed Mr. Bennet that after many tests, he has so far only been able to identify the codeon switch for telekinesis in Sylar, suggesting that he may only have successfully acquired one new ability. (Godsend)

The Symbol

Theory Evidence Notes
Is meant to resemble RNA, which is where the abnormality lies...or just to indicate something to do with the abnormalities Symbol directly resembles RNA, but missing a rung....which might be the actual genetic abnormality. Sylar was noted to be messing with his DNA and probably RNA as well...RNA is also in the brain, which would make sense to this theory.
The symbol is a combination of two Japanese symbols - “great talent” and “Godsend.” Ando noted this in Godsend
The Symbol is the logo for Yamagato Corporation’s Genetic Research Division. On January 29th, George Takei will join the cast of Heroes as Hiro Nakamura’s father. Hiro’s father is supposedly one of the richest men in the world, and the head of Yamagato Corporation (who supplies Hiro’s Blog with translation software and is where Hiro and Ando worked). The sword that future Hiro has is obviously a katana, and there has been some talk about him getting the blade from his father, since Takei has a ten episode deal with NBC.

The symbol is also found on Niki’s back, around the neck of the Haitian, who is obviously not allied with Mr. Bennet (aka HRG) and on the front cover of the Suresh’s book jacket. Niki’s mark is likely because she is linked to the company, and she is possibly a sleeper agent. The Haitian is possibly also an agent of the company and the logo itself is possibly taken from the code that Suresh broke (the super-power-genome). It’s within the code as a repeating pattern, and if the company did indeed supply money for his research (more likely than Linderman, since Yamagato is located in SE Asia) then they would want their logo on the cover.

The symbol is the third faction, the first being the Heroes, and the second being Linderman’s initiative, employing Mr. Bennet.

No confirmation is yet available about the length of Takei's story arc, his possible role as the head of Yamagato, or Yamagato's as-yet hypothetical genetic research division.

There is, as yet, no association between Yamagato and the Symbol.

Other published spoilers indicate that it's possible Hiro obtains the sword in a museum, not from his father.

After stealing a copy of the sword from the museum, Hiro discovers that Mr. Linderman holds the original. ('Godsend')

The train wreck

Theory Evidence Notes
The missing painting in Isaac's wall-sized comic may be one of his paintings of the derailment or Claire inside the train car This could potentially lead the Heroes to Odessa. The missing painting was revealed in Homecoming
The train may have been derailed in order to steal nuclear material According to the newscast Isaac sees, it was registered to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. See In His Own Image

Thompson

Theory Evidence Notes
Thompson is Mr. Bennet's boss. Mr. Bennet received a text message from "Thompson" asking if Hana Gitelman had "manifested" while she was being trained at the Alaskan facility. Mr. Bennet received a cell phone call from an unidentified superior in Fallout who gave him instructions regarding Sylar.

Uluru

Theory Evidence Notes
He is actually a depiction of Sylar or a symbol thereof. His being invincible would have to do with the rapid regeneration ability he was planning on taking from Claire. It could also depict how his hunger for power will spiral to massive proportions
Uluru will be the thing that the Heroes are actually supposed to face, which will be revealed in the second season...after it kills Sylar. The Uluru legend can be found on the actual Wikipedia and there is really no other evidence aside from Issac seeing Uluru and Hiro having him as a background on his computer screen. The legend of Uluru also has a creation myth attached to it- the Dingo, a supernaturally enhanced creature. It's a stretch, and there is little to no evidence, but still...anything is possible.
Uluru could be Jessica. She's already out of control and this can be a development of that. Or this could be her form when completely seperated from Niki. She has said that she's in control now and she seems to think she's unstoppable. She might end up being the true antagonist.

Waffles

Theory Evidence Notes
Waffles augment evolved human's powers Both Hiro and Claire eat waffles before using their power. No waffles have been shown on screen as of yet.
Mr. Linderman is made of waffles Mr. Linderman is talked about a great deal, but never seen. Waffles are talked about a great deal, but never seen. Mr. Petrelli and Thompson may also be made of waffles.

James Walker

Theory Evidence Notes
James Walker possessed the power of cryokinesis. Sylar killed him and removed his brain to obtain his power, then tested the power on his body James Walker's body was found frozen, with his brain removed. If Sylar used cryokinesis on him, he must have already had the power.
James Walker was killed using cryokinesis before his brain was taken. James was frozen in mid-bite while eating breakfast; he would not be in this position if he wasn't frozen before his brain was taken.

Molly Walker

Theory Evidence Notes
Molly is Claire at a younger age (assuming the Matt storyline is in the past). None Matt's timeline was conclusively established in Fallout
Sylar believes Molly is an evolved human It's not yet clear what Sylar's interest in Molly or her parents is, or whether any of them are evolved humans. However, since the only other of Sylar's victims shown with their brains removed have been evolved humans (Isaac Mendez in the future, Charlie) or believed by Sylar to be an evolved human (i.e., Sylar thought Jackie Wilcox was Claire Bennet), it's quite likely that at least her father, who was on the list, possessed superpowers. Mohinder Suresh mentioned James Walker when listing those his father believed to have powers.
Molly might have the ability to amplify powers, thus making her a highly desirable target for Sylar. This would explain Matt's ability to hear thoughts from well outside the house, at a time when his powers were new and unfocused.
Molly may have the power of cryokinesis. The only times victims were frozen are when Sylar was trying to get to Molly. She may be attempting to freeze Sylar (intentionally or by instinct) and Sylar may be avoiding or deflecting it causing her to accidentally freeze innocent people. In an interview Zachary Quinto believes that Sylar has cryokinesis.
Molly definitely has power Sylar came back for her Sylar didn't cut her head open but tried to drag her out of the room. Why? It's possible he could have been taking her somewhere to take out her brain in seclusion and away from security.

Zach

Theory Evidence Notes
Zach is Sylar. None Sylar is confirmed to be Gabriel Gray
Zach has an unknown ability. None
He is killed because of Claire. None He no longer remembers Claire's power or friendship, having been mind-wiped by the Haitian in Fallout.
He is gay. Confirmed by NBC as not gay, but not yet confirmed in show, so there is a chance that that may change in future. Also his blog was supposed to be designed to be alternate lifestyle friendly Confirmed off screen by Tim Kring in an interview with Out magazine. This most likely means that Zach is not and never will be gay in the show or graphic novels, but this may change at any time.
He has deeper feelings for Claire. None, except that he seemed to care for her a great deal before his mind wipe
Zach will be the one who eventually saves Claire, possibly with his theoretical ability. None Claire has already been saved once, by Peter Petrelli in Homecoming. When Claire asks if this fulfills the prophecy, The Haitian simply responds that she is saved "for now."
Zach is actually Claire's twin brother. He knows it, but she doesn't. He won't date her and yet tries to be very close to her.
Zach is actually Claire's twin brother. But neither knows it yet. They were childhood friends. He can't remember where he heard of Kermit Texas. He has had his memory erased once, and possibly more than once. When he and Claire start hanging out again, Mr. Bennett appears both suspicious and interested in Claire being nice to Zach. The newspaper article about the fire that supposedly killed Claire's real mom mentioned only a daughter. However, the whole accident, the alleged deaths, and the separation of the parties was clearly part of a conspiracy. Perhaps a lost brother could have been in the mix too a la Luke and Leia.
He will be curious as to why Claire was acting the way she was and will eventually rediscover her power. He "campaigned" for her to become homecoming queen, so when the two suddenly become distant, everyone may start asking why. Zach may at first think this is part of the "prank" that the other cheerleaders are playing on him, but eventually, it may occur to him as illogical that the unpopular kids(who supported Claire over Jackie) would be in on the joke. He is seen in the preview for the newest episode, filming and talking to Claire. The Haitian was supposed to clean Claire's memory, but didn't, and she knows it. Therefore, she now knows what really happened to Zach's memory and can take the initiative to let him back in on the secret.
