- 10/9 -- SpoilerTV's inside information reveals casting calls for three characters:
- Bruce Evans (formerly the role of Laura Lancaster), age 28-35. He is a local news reporter working in Odessa. He will appear in episode eleven.
- Officer Warren, age 25. He is a handsome African-American police officer from New Orleans, and "works very hard to clean up the streets of the city he loves." He is a recurring character who will appear in episode thirteen, fourteen, sixteen, and "possibly more to come".
- Knox, age 25. He is a "frightening and intense" African-American officer "with the eyes of a predator". Knox has returned to New Orleans with "plans to reclaim the criminal territory he used to run before he was sent to prison. This recurring character will appear in episodes thirteen and fourteen, and "possibly more to come".
- 10/8 -- In a CBR Q&A, writer Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite reminded readers that Alan Blumenfeld once portrayed Greg Grunberg's character's father on Felicity. They hinted that Blumenfeld, who is scheduled to appear in Fight or Flight, will portray Matt Parkman's father.
- 10/5 -- IMDb reports that T.W. Leshner will portray Derek in Kindred and The Kindness of Strangers.
- 10/5 -- Episode six's title is The Line.
- 10/4 -- According to his website, Adrian Bellani will appear as a guest star in Four Months Ago, which will "consist of a Dominican storyline."
- 10/3 -- SpoilerTV reports that Future Hiro will appear in an episode set in the future. This was originally planned to be episode 13 (after the winter hiatus), but the "future episode" may air earlier than planned.
- 10/3 -- Three new clips from Kindred were released on iesb.net.
- 10/1 -- During a CBR Q&A, Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite said that the answers to Matt's divorce and child will be given in Fight or Flight.
- 9/27 -- NBC releases the name of episode five: Fight or Flight.
- 9/27 -- In the Sept. 25th issue of RedEye (a Chicago newspaper), an article hints that Peter could be a bad guy.
- 9/27 -- Five new clips from Lizards on iesb.net.
- Isaac painted a series of 8 paintings, all of events that haven't occurred yet. Mr. Bennet has one of the 8, showing Kaito Nakamura dead on the ground.
- West tells Claire about a certain book he found.
- Hiro takes it into his own hands to sober up Kensei so he can fix the past and make him a hero.
- Mohinder gets his first assignment from The Company, discovers that the Shanti virus is spreading and that his blood is the only known cure.
- Peter is beaten up by Irish mobsters who think he stole a shipment from them.
- 9/25 -- Momma Petrelli speaks! Cristine Rose (Angela) spoke to TV Guide about the death threat received in the premiere of the 2nd season by her and Kaito Nakamura. Kaito died soon after! She says she could be the next to die and gives us a few more clues on upcoming episodes. Additionally, she confirms that her character has a power.
- The Oct 15th episode has her giving a huge confession. "Yes, the shocking confession. It's about the murder. She is in the thick of it. She has a lot of secrets, and she'll be doling them out."
- Could she have something to do with Kaito's death? "Are we really sure Angela is not a part of Kaito's death? I will tell you this about the next few episodes: My character crosses paths with the other heroes and none of them are very happy about it."
- Angela is angry for sometime with Nathan for Peter's supposed death. "They've got me doing monologue after monologue like Lear, just ranting and raving."
- She's not the only one left alive of the original group. "Oh, we find out there are a few more."
- 9/24 -- Sam at Spoiler TV has secured several casting call descriptions, presumably for characters who will appear in upcoming episodes:
- Young Victoria Platt, a mid-20's Caucasian "who could pass for actress Joanna Cassidy". The character is a brilliant scientist.
- Kingpin, a tough, streetwise 24- to 30-year-old African-American. He is a gangster who preys on the innocent citizens of New Orleans. He will appear in episode 11 and possibly episode 14.
- Mrs. Nottingham, a matronly woman from New York, somewhere in her 40's or 50's.
- Two ganger members, ages 20-30. They are tough, street-wise gangsters living in New Orleans.
- A 6-year-old white girl who will be rescued from a burning house.
- 9/21 -- Entertainment Weekly has an article on Season 2. Among the reveals:
- Peter has amnesia.
- Nathan has developed a drinking problem.
- Niki and Jessica have integrated, and Niki will "become intimately acquainted" with the Shanti virus.
- The identity of the being who might see Molly will be revealed in episode five.
- Noah Bennet will be working with a surprising new ally against the Company.
- Stephen Tobolowsky has been cast as the Company's new boss.
- 9/21 -- IMDb lists Laivan Greene as the character "Braces" in episode five.
- 9/19 -- Greg Grunberg tells Michael Ausiello that Matt Parkman's "family plays a huge role in the story".
- 9/18 -- Several clips from Four Months Later are released.
- Mohinder gives a lecture about a disease that affects only evolved humans, suppressing their powers and eventually killing them. He considers it a plague and asks for special funding. After the lecture, he is approached by an agent from the Company and offered a job.
- Claire starts her first day at a new high school. Her father cautions her about keeping a secret. She meets West.
- Maya and Alejandro escape from the police.
- Hiro meets Takezo Kensei. Kensei says that he came to Japan aboard a trading vessel and stayed to seek his fortune. He was paid to fight off several bandits, which he did by getting a local to dress up as him and distract the bandits while he picked them off from a tree.
- Hiro tells Kensei that he is from the future and tells him about the stories he read as a child. Kensei reacts skeptically.
- 9/17 -- NBC releases an exclusive video on MySpace. (See images below.)
- 9/13 -- IMDb changed their listing for Darryl Chan as "Fake Kensei" to "Samurai Guard", appearing in episode six.
- 9/13 -- The National Enquirer posts the mother of spoilers. It should be noted that the tabloid has a hazy record of accuracy in reporting the truth.
- Episode One, Four Months Later:
- Mohinder is approached by a strange guy named Bob, who offers him a job with a mysterious company. Mohinder realizes the Company is his enemy and trying to penetrate the organization.
- Claire nearly gets run over by her new boyfriend West, whom she later learns can fly. She also has a run in with head cheerleader Debbie, does a backflip, and breaks a bone. She then uses her powers to heal herself.
- Episode Two, Lizards:
- Peter was captured by Irish criminals in the seasons premiere, has amnesia and has to rediscover his powers. He has a love interest named Caitlin, who is the daughter of Ricky, the leader of a criminal gang.
- Kaito Nakamura is killed when he is thrown off a rooftop by a stranger who jumps off the roof with him, but disappears before they hit the ground.
- Hiro time travels and impersonates his hero, Takezo. Using his power to stop time, he disarms 11 bandits. Hiro falls in love with the swordsmith's daughter but steps aside so his hero Takezo can fulfill his destiny.
- Episode 3, Kindred:
- Sylar is still alive. He kills Candice Wilmer who had rescued him, but then to his shock he loses his powers.
- Peter is forced to help the criminals with a robbery and saves the gangsters by levitating an armored car and hurling it at the guards. He also discovers he has the power of shooting electricity from his hands.
- Mohinder saves the dying Haitian by injecting him with his blood.
- Niki joins the Company.
- Episode 4, The Kindness of Strangers:
- Monica has the power of photographic reflexes, meaning she can replicate any physical motion she witnesses. She foils a stick-up man by snatching his gun and flooring him with a double backflip she once saw during a wrestling show.
- American students Derek and Maya find Sylar lying face down in the Mexican desert and rescue him. He tells them his name is Gabriel Gray and seems willing to help them but secretly kills Derek at a gas station.
- Molly's boogeyman turns out to be the mysterious Bob from the Company, who is actually Matt's father.
- Episode One, Four Months Later:
- 9/12 -- In an interview at the OWI, Jimmy Jean-Louis said that the Haitian has been out of the country during the events of the last three episodes of Season One. Season Two will explain his disappearance, beginning with Lizards.
- 9/12 -- The NBC blurb for Lizards gives a few hints about the episode, and lists Katie Carr as a new cast member.
- 9/11 -- In an interview, Mark Sable said that Maya and Alejandro "both have a set of powers that compliment each other."
- 9/11 -- The September 17 issue of TV Guide (read it) lets spill some fun spoilers:
- Episode 8 will be called Four Months Ago.
- The Company has a hand in the "neuro-degrading virus" that killed Shanti.
- The reason for the split among the former generation of evolved humans (Linderman, Kaito and Angela specifically) will be revealed.
- The gang of Irish crooks are "lovable but dangerous". Tim Kring says their story will involve "someone viewers already know".
- The town the Bennets will move to is the fictional Costa Verde, California.
- Most shockingly, not only does Claire discover West has the "'bag and tag' mark" on his neck, but he tells his new girlfriend of a terrible encounter he once had with Mr. Bennet.
- 9/10 -- Kristin Veitch hints that Peter may have amnesia and that Hiro will appear as a youngster around episode eight or nine.
- 9/8 -- IMDb reports that Roberto Sanchez will portray a police officer in episode six, Marisa Tayui will portray a geisha in the third episode, and that Sanjay Madhav will play a role in the season premiere.
- 9/7 -- According to Entertainment Weekly, Elle's debut will be in the fifth episode of the season.
- 9/4 -- The Slug reports that Maya and Sylar will encounter one another at some point during the season. No word as to who will be the victor.
- 9/2 -- According to IMDb, the Haitian will appear in episodes 4, 5, and 6.
- 8/31 -- Ricky Gervais told an interviewer that he would most likely be appearing in the second season of Heroes. Stark Gossip and The Sun seem to confirm this.
- 8/31 -- Tim Kring and Jeph Loeb tell JAM! Television that a "major metropolis" in Canada will be the setting for a Season Two storyline.
- 8/31 -- While appearing on MuchOnDemand, Dania Ramirez said that the eighth episode of the season will be a flashback episode focusing on what happened during the four months between How to Stop an Exploding Man and Four Months Later.
- 8/31 -- USA Today reports:
- According to David Anders, Kensei is "English, a bit of a drunk, a bit of a lout, a bit of a rake."
- The show will visit Haiti, Ireland, Mexico and Ukraine.
- It claims that Kristen Bell will only appear in 5 episodes.
- 8/30 -- JAM! Television cryptically reports that Sylar will be "in a radically different and radically challenging landscape, both literally and figuratively." As well, Maya "feels too much," and "you don't want to make her cry."
- 8/30 -- Sendhil Ramamurthy announced that an episode will take place in Russia.
- 8/30 -- Deathray Magazine has stated Kane can control insects, and is the being who can see Molly. It seems that this character will also be known as Kensei, as portrayed by David Anders.
- 8/28 -- According to Christopher Guyton's website, Lesli Linka Glatter will direct episode six. The August 22 entry on Eriko Tamura's blog lists Joy and Melissa Blake as the writers for the episode.
- 8/28 -- According to IMDb, Alejandro will debut in Four Months Later and will be appear for at least eight episodes (specifically, episodes one through six, episode eight, and episode ten). Additionally, Christopher Guyton will join the cast as a guard in episode six.
- 8/27 -- Kristin Veitch hints that Elle's power has something to do with electricity, and possibly (and inexplicably) does share a scene with Hiro in the past. Kristin also teases about death: she says that a series regular from last season is not coming back (probably Leonard Roberts), there is a series regular from last season (probably Adrian Pasdar or Milo Ventimiglia) who is incorrectly presumed dead, and "there are two popular and important recurring characters who appear to be totally and completely doomed, and at least one of them will die within the first two episodes."
- 8/24 -- Entertainment Tonight shows a short video clip of Kensei, and other scenes, including Claire cutting off a...body part (see gallery for image).
- 8/24 -- According to HeroSite's inside connections:
- West will be make his debut in Four Months Later, but won't fly to the Hollywood sign until The Kindness of Strangers.
- Takezo Kensei will make his true (unmasked) debut in Four Months Later, but his power won't be revealed until Lizards.
- Sylar will return in Kindred.
- Mr. Bennet will begin a "prophetic journey" in the fifth episode, after finding new paintings by Isaac.
- 8/22 -- The Honolulu Advertiser reports (and Cary Tagawa Online confirms) that Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa will portray the swordsmith. According to the actor, the swordmaker will exhibit "more peaceful values".
- 8/22 -- Sendhil Ramamurthy told IGN that Mohinder is undercover and has "grown a big old set of balls."
- 8/21 -- Craig at HeroSite has obtained the titles of episode three (Kindred, written by J.J. Philbin and directed by Paul Edwards) and episode four (The Kindness of Strangers, written by Tim Kring and directed by Adam Kane).
- 8/20 -- Kristin Veitch blogs that "one major character is presumed dead in the season premiere (but isn't), but another will die in that very same episode!" Also, Ando will have a "new look".
- 8/20 -- Kristen Bell tells Michael Ausiello that she will probably be doing 13 episodes of Heroes. She also confirms that Elle has "a really awesome power."
- 8/20 -- In a video interview with USA Today, Zachary Quinto says that Sylar will kill someone the first time we see him. The "someone" is known to the audience "in a manner of speaking".
- 8/19 -- According to Eriko Tamura's blog, Jeannot Szwarc will be directing an upcoming episode.
- 8/19 -- Variety reports that Kristen Bell will be joining Heroes for a "key multiepisode arc". She will be portraying Elle, a "sexy, mysterious young lady" with ties to Peter, Mr. Bennet, and Claire. According to HeroSite, her first appearance will be in the fifth episode of the season, which will air October 22.
- 8/19 -- Tohoru Masamune will appear in the third episode, according to IMDb. Hiro's boss's name? Mr. Egami.
- 8/17 -- Not surprisingly, Kristin Veitch reports that Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) was seen on the Heroes set with burn marks on his face.
- 8/16 -- TV Guide reports that Nana is financially strapped, and has moved back into her once-flooded home in New Orleans. She is the oldest member of her family, which includes her two grandchildren, one of whom is Monica. She also is the great-aunt to Micah. Nichelle Nichols expounds, "Nana is tough and undaunted and--like the blues--she just keeps rising to the occasion." Nichols continues, "Micah is sent to New Orleans to live with the family. It's a quite marvelous, magical story, with wonderful things emerging." In regards to Monica, TV Guide reports that she is an "avenging angel" whose desire it is to bring justice to the corrupt city.
- 8/16 -- The Hollywood Reporter reports that Janel Parrish will portray May, the head cheerleader for Claire's new school, for at least three episodes during Season Two.
- 8/15 -- Sendhil Ramamurthy tells the magazine SFX Collection that Richard Schiff will be joining Heroes, and that Schiff's character "is going to have a profound effect on [Mohinder]." Additionally, he says that Mohinder "is traveling around the world for the first four or five episodes...just meeting the new characters."
- 8/14 -- IMDb reports that Taira Soo will portray a school teacher in the fourth episode of the season. Additionally, Héctor Luis Bustamante's character is named Garcia, and will be joining the show in the third episode.
- 8/14 -- TV Guide reports that Nichelle Nichols's character is named Nana, will be from New Orleans, and will be Monica's grandmother.
- 8/10 -- At the Las Vegas Creation Star Trek Convention, Nichelle Nichols told Anthony Pascale of TrekMovie.com that she will be joining the cast. Sources say Nichols, who is most noted for portraying "Uhura" on Star Trek, will be appearing in five or six episodes of Heroes.
- 8/10 -- This Season Two trailer aired on NBC's primetime preview show on Saturday, 8/11.
- 8/6 -- According to Kristin Veich, West has the ability to fly. In fact, he reportedly will be taking Claire for a romantic moment atop the Hollywood sign.
- 8/6 -- Michael Ausiello reports Stephen Tobolowsky will join Heroes for 6 episodes, and that David Anders is being made a series regular.
- 8/6 -- Tim Kring told SCI FI Wire that "the audience can expect to see [the being who can see Molly] somewhere in the first run of episodes."
- 8/3 -- Jessica Collins (from The Nine, not from Tru Calling) will portray Sophie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
- 8/3 -- During The Ventura County Star's Heroes set visit, it was noted that the set for Isaac's loft is still intact.
- 8/1 -- Ausiello reports that Niki will be taking off early in the season to "fix something. And once it's fixed, it will be very shocking and exciting."
- 7/30 -- The blog JustJared posted pictures of West and Claire being ... intimate.
- 7/30 -- Kristin Veitch equivocally reports:
- The powers of Maya and Alejandro are connected. Despite reports that they are from Dominican Republic, they're really from Central America. Their travels will take them through San Cristobal, Honduras.
- The mystery of David Anders playing Kensei will be revealed in Four Months Later.
- Adrian Pasdar said, "Milo and I have not worked together in a long time."
- The Bennets have moved to California. Jack Coleman says, "Los Angeles would not be accurate, but not far off."
- A new French-speaking character, Sophie, will be introduced. "She's the employee of a powerful, mysterious group, and she's 'not afraid to use lethal force to accomplish her mission.'"
- 7/30 -- In an Inside Heroes video, Ruth Ammon says that Charles Deveaux's rooftop "will have an even bigger impact" in Season Two than in Season One. She also takes us inside the Wandering Rocks, a pub in Cork, Ireland that will be featured in Season Two. According to Ruth, the pub will "get steamy". Finally, Ruth talked about a set for which she had to make the outside look like it was in New Orleans and the inside look like it belonged in Guatemala.
- 7/30 -- In an NBC advertisement for Heroes 360, the words "New Clues" flashes on the screen, followed by "Maya y Alejandro", "Shanti virus", and "Bob".
- 7/28 -- At the San Diego Comic Con, a trailer for Season Two was shown, according to CBR, Cinema ParaDso!, and BuddyTV. Scenes included the following:
- Matt Parkman and Molly Walker in a scene in which she is accosted by the being to whom she alluded to at the end of Season One (though the villain is not seen).
- Matt shoots someone.
- A scene in which Claire appears to be about to cut off her own toe with scissors.
- Nathan Petrelli, in a full-grown beard, digs through a box as his mother shouts at him, "You killed your brother! If you had just done what you were supposed to do, he would be alive now!"
- Hiro, still stuck in the past, trains with some Japanese warriors, though one warrior ends up taking his mask off to reveal a blond guy underneath. According to IGN the blond guy is David Anders of Alias fame.
- Peter is locked in a small space and is surprised when someone opens it.
- Additionally, Monica is from a Katrina-ravished area of New Orleans, LA.
- 7/26 -- NBC announces the title of episode 202: Lizards.
- 7/26 -- The Chicago Tribune reports on a set tour with Masi Oka.
- A bedroom in Mohinder's apartment has been decorated like the bedroom of a little girl, possibly Molly Walker.
- Isaac's loft now contains a lab, and according to a publicist, it "may be used for other things this season."
- A new set is an Irish pub, located near a storefront for an office called "Cork Port Shipping –- Gateway to Ireland."
- Maya's last name is Herrera.
- 7/25 -- Jack Coleman told Sci Fi that he will no longer be wearing suits in Season Two--they will be replaced by..."something else".
- 7/25 -- In Alan Sepinwall's Newark Star Ledger Column, there are several spoilers from the Television Critics Association press tour. Adrian Pasdar, Zachary Quinto, and Milo Ventimiglia answered questions.
- Pasdar has a new beard, but wouldn't say anything about the show.
- Ventimiglia wouldn't talk about how or if he survived the explosion.
- Quinto said that "I'm allowed to say you haven't seen the last of (Sylar)", but admitted that his situation will be drastically different.
- Tim Kring said that there would be big changes in store for Niki.
- 7/25 -- IMDb lists Darryl Chan as "Fake Kensei". Hmm.
- 7/25 -- According to The National Post's report on the press conference (sponsored by the Television Critics Association), Haiti, Egypt, Mexico, Ireland, Ukraine, Japan, Dominican Republic, and the U.S. are among this season's destinations. Additionally, the release said that Maya is "a young woman plagued by a threatening ability that has driven both her and her twin brother Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) from their home in the Dominican Republic to make the dangerous crossing to the United States in search of help."
- 7/25 -- While the site Heroes Pictures posts images from Four Months Later, GirlsTalkinSmack posts promotional shots of the cast (see Gallery). The photos are of Niki, Micah, Nathan, Peter, Sylar, Hiro, Claire, Matt, Noah, and Mohinder. Among the missing are D.L. and reportedly new season regular Ando. Isaac and Simone both died during Season One.
- 7/24 -- Ausiello reports that Lyndsy Fonseca's character April will only be a guest role, not a recurring role--she will be appearing in just one episode.
- 7/23 -- According to BuddyTV, Thomas Dekker's contract with Fox's The Sarah Connor Chronicles means that he will probably not be making any appearances on Heroes.
- 7/23 -- George Takei, a regular announcer/guest on The Howard Stern Show, told Howard that Kaito's powers will be exhibited in Season Two.
- 7/22 -- Variety reports that Hector Luis Bustamante will have a guest role on Heroes. In an email, Hector confirmed that his character will be playing opposite Maya.
- 7/20 -- Jack Coleman told SCI FI Wire that Noah, who is still "a dangerous guy" and "not defanged", will be reunited with Sandra, Claire, and Lyle in the the first episode, though they have relocated to a new place (most likely Southern California). He added, "The secrets they keep from each other are new secrets. The old secrets have all been divulged....But there's old ghosts. Old habits are about to rear their ugly head in a very dramatic way....It gets pretty sticky pretty quickly." And for those that still hold to the idea that Mr. Bennet is secretly harboring an evolved ability, Jack says, "I love that I don't have any superpowers....[Mr. Bennet] has to [handle the dangers of the world] through his guile and carrying a really big gun."
- 7/20 -- According to the blog Seat42F and The Hollywood Reporter, Dana Davis will be portraying Monica. Monica will have a yet undisclosed ability; she is described as willing to "give up everything to help the people around her."
- 7/19 -- Ali Larter told SCI FI Wire that Niki will be channeling "a little La Femme Nikita" this season.
- 7/19 -- TV Guide interviews Masi Oka who spills many spoilers.
- Hiro will meet the "legendary" warrior Kensei, but "it turns out the storybooks have exaggerated. Kensei isn't the kind of man Hiro idolized. This will put Japan's future at stake, so Hiro has to make this Kensei into the one of legend."
- When asked about David Anders being cast as the warrior, Masi said that Kensei didn't appear Japanese in the tapestry shown in Season One.
- "[The writers] told me something terrible will be happening in the present, maybe because Hiro wasn't there. When he returns to modern day, he’s in for the shock of his life."
- Oka says the princess will fall in love with Hiro, but this will ultimately prove disastrous since Kensei is supposed to be her true love.

- 7/18 -- In an interview with SCI FI Wire, Masi Oka said that Hiro will spend at least eight episodes in feudal Japan. We will see how his experiences in a 400-year-old timeline will effect events in the present. Additionally, Masi called Eriko Tamura's character Princess "Iako".
- 7/17 -- According to dubious spoiler spiller Kristin Veitch's blog, the fourth episode of Season Two may be set in New Orleans.
- 7/14 -- Tim Sale said he recently drew Dania Ramirez, meaning Maya will most likely be appearing in a prophetic painting. Additionally, Tim has done two other pieces for Heroes.
- 7/2 -- Variety.com reports that Dominic Keating will be joining Heroes as an Irish mobster. It is unclear whether Dominic will be portraying Georgie, Blackie (aka Will), or another mobster. The role will be a recurring role.
- July -- IMDb lists Sara Solomon as playing Martha in Four Months Later. An image on her Sara's IMDb profile shows her wearing a costume with "CVHS" on the shirt, presumably the initials of the high school she attends in Southern California.
- 6/26 -- Heroes the Series reports that Access Hollywood interviewed some of the cast members. Though no new spoilers are revealed, some elaboration on confusing spoilers (namely, how David Anders will be playing Takezo Kensei, and whether or not Santiago Cabrera will return for the second season) is given.
- 6/25 -- Tim Kring is interviewed about Season Two. Similar spoilers ensue, including that Kaito is undeniably an evolved human and that Greg Grunberg has been filming, so "there is some element of [Matt's] presence that will show up in the [second] season."

- 6/21 -- IGN announces the name of the first episode of Season Two: Four Months Later. (See here for spoilers.) Other highlights from Tim Kring regarding Season Two:
- Tim Sale will continue to be involved with Heroes. "The idea of the paintings is going to have a clever reentry into the show."
- The first few episodes will reveal a "tremendous mystery [that] happened in those four months" after the events of How to Stop an Exploding Man.
- In discussing the characters of Angela Petrelli, Charles Deveaux, Kaito Nakamura, and Mr. Linderman, Tim Kring said "This season, one of those themes that we're going to talk about is the sins of the parents being visited upon the children. This idea of how generationally we are left with problems that we have to fix."
- Kaito is an evolved human and his power will be revealed.
- Many characters' stories will be "reset to the beginning", trying to regain normalcy in their lives. Jeph Loeb echoes this idea in a 6/13 interview: "When we come back in Season Two, we will have stripped everything back down to where we were in the pilot. If there is an ad concept line for this season it's 'How do you become ordinary once you've been extraordinary?" The fancy version is 'How do you keep 'em down on the farm once they've seen Paris?'"
- Regarding Matt Parkman, Kring was coy about his return, stating that he was a popular character and that aspect plays a part in deciding Matt's fate. Later, Kring admitted, "There is some element of his presence" in Season Two.
- Heroes will frequently introduce new villains and "new bad guys".
- James Kyson Lee (Ando) is in discussions with NBC to possibly become a regular.
- Regarding Christopher Eccleston (Claude), Kring was complimentary, but not definite: "We love Christopher and he's a very busy, working actor. I absolutely would love to have him back and it's really about finding the time to work him in."
- Niki/Jessica's powers will be "redefined".
- Meredith Gordon and other briefly seen characters will "absolutely" return. "These smaller characters that we've met along the way, some have greater significance."
- Bryan Fuller will be leaving the show. New writers joining the team include J.J. Philbin, Joy Blake, and Melissa Blake.
- 6/21 -- In a phone conversation, casting director Jason La Padura said some of the recent announcements may be false. He said NBC has released some of the announcements, while others have been wrongly leaked to the media. He said he was not at liberty to distinguish the falsehoods from the truths.
- 6/20 -- Zona Heroes (Spanish) posted 17 images of Season Two production. Hayden Panettiere is the main subject of the photographs as she is in every one. The photo set also captures Jack Coleman, Greg Beeman, and most intriguingly, Nick D'Agosto.
- 6/20 -- The Hollywood Reporter announces that six new cast members have been added:
- Barry Shabaka Henley will portray Detective Fuller, a police officer with the NYPD.
- Holt McCallany will portray Ricky, the ringleader of a group of Irish thugs.
- David Anders will portray either Kane or Kensei (reports have been unclear). His character is described as being "one thousand years old".
- Eriko Tamura will portray the princess.
- Lyndsy Fonseca will portray April, a sweet cheerleader from Southern California who will come into contact with Claire.

- 5/14 With "Heroes" its only new hit of the season, struggling NBC announced a fall schedule Monday that includes a spinoff and three other dramas also trading on supernatural themes. To stretch the normal 22-episode season of "Heroes," which faltered after its long hiatus this year, NBC will add "Heroes: Origins." In fact, it seems there will be only one hiatus which will coincide with "a Big Twist". By Season Three, the producers hope to not have any breaks between episodes.

- This season will feature Sparrow Redhouse.
- The being who can see Molly is Kane.
- Since Peter displayed Meredith's power of pyrokinesis in a possible future, Meredith may make a return in Season 2.
- Takezo Kensei's power is immortality and is also Kane in the future and he meets Hiro as both of them.
- Sylar will have to join the other evolved humans to stop Kane.
- After returning to the present time, Hiro will travel back to the days when the older generation of heroes, such as Linderman and Kaito, were attempting to save the world.
- As Hiro travels back to the present time, Kensei manages to grab hold of him and travels along with him, where he then takes up a new life as Kane.
