Audrey Hanson, Matt Parkman |
FBI Headquarters | Telekinesis | Audrey and Matt wander through the FBI Headquarters when the lights start to flicker, with Audrey realising that Sylar is in the building. As Audrey pursues Sylar, Matt stays behind and tries to help Molly through her ordeal.
Cornering Sylar in the utility room, Audrey pulls her gun on him, but he telekinetically forces Audrey to put her gun to her own head, readying her for apparent suicide. Before he can pull the trigger, Matt appears from around the corner and shoots Sylar three times, knocking him to the ground. Believing Sylar to be dead, Matt asks Audrey if she is alright, when Sylar stands up again, having not been harmed. Matt attempts to shoot him again, but Sylar disappears, having flown out of the area. |

D.L. Hawkins | The Sanderses' home | Enhanced strength, Phasing |
D.L. uncovers Niki's secret, that she was the one whom framed him for armed robbery, when he finds her holding a briefcase. Her persona changes to Jessica, however, and she slams D.L. in the chest with her briefcase, knocking him straight into their wardrobe at the other side of the bedroom. Micah hears this and exits his room, but Jessica tells him that they are moving furniture and closes the door. She looks around the round, and finds D.L. to be missing.
Standing in front of another wardrobe, Jessica tries to figure out where her husband is, when D.L. phases out of the wardrobe and places her in a headlock. She is quick to react, and pulls him out of the wardrobe, throwing him onto the bed. Readying to finish him off, she climbs onto him, when Micah enters. Distracted for long enough, D.L. shoves his hand through her and chokes Jessica, knocking her into unconsciousness. As she lands on the floor, D.L. grabs Micah and escapes the building. |

| Claire Bennet, Peter Petrelli Sylar |
Sylar | Union Wells High School | Empathic mimicry, Rapid cell regeneration, Telekinesis |
Sylar sneaks into Union Wells High School before the start of the big homecoming game, where he knocks out the lights and takes Jackie Wilcox from Claire. Believing her to be the evolved human he needs, Sylar telekinetically holds Jackie in the air as Claire tries to distract him. Sylar throws Claire into a wall, breaking several bones, as he cuts open Jackie's skull. Claire regenerates and snaps her arm back into place as she looks over to Sylar, whom has noticed that Claire is the true evolved human. Jackie tells Claire to run as Sylar releases his grip, letting Jackie drop to the floor as Claire escapes.
Running into the hallway, Claire meets with Peter once more as he orders her to escape the high school when Sylar catches up to the two. Sylar flings several lockers at Peter as he manages to avoid a couple. As Claire reaches the bleachers, Peter manages to catch up to her as a shadow looms across them. They reach the top, with Sylar stood at the bottom, and Peter tells Claire to go to somewhere public as Sylar does not want to be seen. Claire retreats into the distance, but Sylar has managed to teleport directly next to Peter. Grabbing each other, they fall off the side and crash several stories down into the ground, leaving Sylar unconscious and Peter killed. |

D.L. and Micah prepare to continue their escape when Jessica catches up with the two and, now armed with a recently-purchased sniper rifle, shoots D.L. in his left shoulder, injuring him. Micah hides in the car as Jessica takes another shot, this time for the head, but D.L. phases through it, popping the tire of the car, preventing their speedy escape. As Jessica crosses the road to finish the job, she finds that D.L. and Micah have retreated out of the area without her realising, angering her enough to smash the car's window.
Now in a forest, D.L. and Micah use their footprints to create a temporary diversion as they end up at a cabin, which D.L. unlocks by reaching his hand through the door. Jessica continues on her path of destruction and, after a temporary mind battle with Niki, manages to keep control as Micah shouts for her. Jessica loads her gun as she rushes over to Micah. Posing to Micah that she wants to help D.L., she grips her gun as she enters the cabin, when D.L., having hidden behind the door, hits Jessica with a shovel, knocking her down a hill. D.L., clutching his wound, rushes to collect Jessica's gun, but she stands and punches him several feet away. Micah attempts to stop Jessica from fighting D.L., but she throws him into a set of rocks. D.L. abandons his fight with Jessica to tend to Micah, and Niki takes control of her body once again. |

Matt, assigned to protect Aron Malsky from danger, learns of a hit on Malsky's life from a diamond merchant and begins his pre-emptive rescue measure. Taking Malsky away with the diamonds, Matt hears Jessica in the elevator, and aims his side arm to the elevator door. When the doors open, however, Jessica finds nobody at the other side - Matt and Malsky have already retreated.
Running down the stairwell, Malsky suffers from an asthma attack, although they manage to stop off on one of the floors. Matt tells Malsky to wait by the elevator as he covers him. As Jessica and Niki battle for dominance over her body, Matt overhears this and calls for back-up when Jessica fires at Matt, causing him to retreat once more. Using this time, Malsky starts to hide his diamonds, while Matt tricks Jessica into entering the stairwell. Pointing a gun to Jessica's head, Matt handcuffs her to the banister when he learns false information that Niki is "probably killing Malsky right now". Leaving Jessica unattended to save Malsky, he finds him safe and unharmed, when Jessica appears, having escaped her handcuffs. She grabs Matt, and throws him out of the window, rendering him unconscious. Malsky backs away as far as possible, but Jessica rips him in half. |

Unknown | Charles Deveaux's rooftop | Empathic mimicry, Invisibility, Telekinesis |
Claude and Peter invisibly train on the rooftop as Claude grabs himself a wooden pole to beat Peter with. Peter begs for Claude to stop his assault, but he persists, telling him to activate one of his many abilities, such as flight, space-time manipulation or precognition. Being stuck in all areas of the body by Claude, Peter manages to cobble his thoughts together and uses a new ability - telekinesis. Holding the wooden pole mid-air, Peter then snaps it in half, ending the attack.
Claude asks about Peter's telekinesis, and he learns of Sylar's attack during the homecoming game. Claude expresses pleasure that the explosion can be stopped, then grabs another wooden pole and hits Peter with it. |
| Peter Petrelli Isaac Mendez |
Draw | Isaac Mendez's loft | Invisibility, Precognition, Telekinesis |
Isaac, with glazed eyes, paints a prophecy of Peter stood in his loft. His eyes un-glaze and he stares at the painting, then turns around to find Peter, his prophecy already fulfilled. Isaac asks how Peter entered the building, but Peter focuses on the Company, asking about Isaac's motivations to ally himself with Bennet. Isaac explains he was attempting to stop the explosion, but Peter angrily tells him that Isaac scared away the one person whom could; Claude.
Peter pushes Isaac onto the desk, demanding to know what the mark means, although Isaac tells him they mean "nothing". Peter angrily yells at Isaac, and throws him across the room into a table. Spotting the painting of Isaac and Simone together, Peter asks if he joined Bennet out of jealousy, but Isaac states he did it to save New York City. Isaac manages to lift himself onto the table and grab his gun, but Peter turns invisible, then starts chucking paint cans at him, saying that Isaac is not a hero and Simone left him due to his own flaws. Isaac demands that Peter show himself, when the door opens. Paranoid and agitated, Isaac takes two pot shots towards the door, when he realises he has accidentally shot Simone in the chest. Peter reappears and carries Simone to the floor as Isaac rushes over. She passes away with Isaac's key in her hand. |

Peter Petrelli, Mohinder Suresh |
Mohinder Suresh's apartment | Invisibility, Rapid cell regeneration, Telekinesis |
Peter enters Mohinder's apartment in search of him, when he finds the area to be wrecked and messy, clearly showing signs of a struggle. As Peter calls for Mohinder, liquid hits his head, which he realises to be blood. Looking up, he finds Mohinder held to the ceiling, whom warns Peter of Sylar. Before he can react, Sylar states he remembers Peter, then throws him into a wall. Expressing his desire to learn more about Peter's ability, he points his finger to Peter's head and starts cutting it open.
Before he can continue, however, Peter's forehead regenerates, confusing Sylar long enough for Peter to throw him into a bookcase. Mohinder drops from the ceiling as Sylar stands up straight, deciding to fight Peter there and then. Peter turns invisible, confusing Sylar once again, although he states that he "cannot wait to try that one". Using his initiative, Sylar raises the broken glass off the floor, then fires them in all directions, with one piece lodging itself into the back of Peter's head, disabling all of his abilities and killing him. As Sylar kneels down to take Peter's ability, Mohinder pushes the map at Sylar, knocking him unconscious. Mohinder tries to awaken Peter, but takes him out of the apartment instead. |

At the explosion memorial, Future Sylar, as President Nathan Petrelli, receives a call from Future Matt, telling him that Future Peter is protecting both Hiro and Ando from Homeland Security, and that the Haitian has been killed. Deciding to drop the charade, Future Sylar flies into the air and blasts away from the memorial service. Future Matt orders for his soldiers to break through the door as Ando receives a page of 9th Wonders! from Future Hiro. Future Hiro dies, drawing Hiro into reclusion, as Future Sylar pulls Future Peter through the door, throwing him down the corridor. Ordering Future Matt to "finish this", Future Peter says that his brother cannot phase, when Future Sylar drops the disguise and reveals himself to his nemesis. Now angry, Future Peter vows to avenge his brother's death, when Future Sylar turns his hands to ice, ready to defend himself. Peter's hands, in turn, turn to fire, and the two enter a deadly battle. As she falls towards the ground, time freezes, and Hiro enters the apartment, somewhat reluctantly. Standing in front of Sylar, he pulls out his sword and apologises to the serial killer, but lifts his blade in order to save his friend.
Time resumes before he can finish, however, and Sylar hears Hiro's heart beat, recognising it from the loft. Stopping the sword with his hands, Sylar demands to know why Hiro has been following him, and Hiro explains that he must be stopped. Sylar commands Hiro to kill him, but freezes the sword while keeping a firm grip on it. He calls Hiro a "coward" for being unable to stop him, when Ando bursts through the door. Distracted, Ando manages to grab Hiro, and they both teleport out of the apartment, leaving Sylar alone with his now-deceased mother. |

Thompson attempts a shot, but Matt and Noah manage to hide behind a wall, annoying the Company agent. Noah tells Matt to remain behind the wall and wait patiently as he leaves him alone, worrying Matt as he does not have his own gun. Matt anxiously looks around the corner for Thompson, whom manages to sneak up on Matt and points his gun to the back of Matt's head, asking him cockily "what am I thinking now, Parkman?" Noah sneaks up on Thompson, points his own gun to Thompson's head, and answers "your last thought". Noah shoots him twice, and finishes him off. |

Draw | Isaac Mendez's loft | Space-time manipulation, Telekinesis |
Ready with his sword, Ando sneaks into Isaac's loft, steadily protecting himself, when he stumbles across a painting of Sylar and Peter Petrelli at Kirby Plaza. Trying to get a closer look, he accidentally slips on some blood on the floor, when Sylar appears behind him. Ando turns around, but Sylar throws Ando's sword straight into the explosion prophecy, removing Ando of his defence. He then pushes Ando into a window, smashing it, when he finds the final issue of 9th Wonders! on the floor. Picking it up, Sylar finds the idea of Hiro killing him to be laughable, and demands Peter's location. Ando states that he does not know, but Sylar cuts into his neck.
At that moment, Hiro appears next to Ando's sword and picks it up, demanding that Sylar stop attacking his friend. Sylar turns around and refuses, instead offering a challenge - Hiro must stop time before he can telekinetically cut off Ando's head, knowing that he will be able to kill Ando before Hiro can save him. Thinking quickly, Hiro teleports away. As Sylar searches for Hiro, he appears next to Ando, grabs him, and teleports away again. Sylar realises that he has been duped. |

Candice lifts Niki up onto her feet and punches her a few more times, striking her into a mirror. Niki falls to the floor as Candice brushes off the injuries on her fist. Suddenly, Jessica herself appears in a broken shard of glass, and tells Niki that the woman she is fighting is not Jessica, and to stop her and save Micah. Candice asks whom Niki is talking to, when Niki stands up and, activating her ability for the first time, uppercuts Candice across the room into unconsciousness. The illusion drops, with Candice resuming to her own form, and Micah's body disappearing. Draw | Kirby Plaza | Empathic mimicry, Enhanced strength, Induced radioactivity, Precognition, Telekinesis, Space-time manipulation |
Noah, pulling out his gun, and Peter arrive at Kirby Plaza after a call from Matt told them Sylar's location, thanks to Molly Walker's ability. Peter theorises that Sylar is hiding in plain sight, when the serial killer taps Noah on the shoulder. Noah turns around, but Sylar throws him across the plaza, slamming him into a wall, dislocating his shoulder and preventing him from using his gun. Sylar asks Peter what took him so long to find him.
Sylar asks if he killed Peter before, althogh Peter taunts that it "didn't take". Sarcastically laughing, Sylar chokes him in order to take centre stage of the explosion, when Matt steps out from around the corner, taking four shots at Sylar. Sylar, however, stops the bullets mid-air, and flings them backwards, gravely injuring Matt as he agonisingly falls against a pillar. Mohinder Suresh, attemping to escape with D.L. Hawkins, Micah Sanders, Molly and Niki, rushes to supply Matt with temporary first aid. Sylar pulls a parking meter across the plaza out of the ground and into his hand, striking Peter with it hard enough to knock him to the floor, when Niki steps it, takes the parking meter, and hits Sylar, knocking him over. Micah calls for Niki's help, and Peter tells her to return to her family. Niki abandons the battle, and Peter, having absorbed Niki's ability, pummels Sylar several times until Sylar laughs, when he realises he is losing control of his induced radioactivity. Realising that he is the exploding man, Sylar stands up and states that Peter is the villain, while he is the hero. Suddenly, Hiro teleports in from Yamagato Industries and grabs Sylar's attention. He charges forward with Ando's sword and stabs him through the chest, proclaiming "yatta". He pulls his sword out, and Sylar drops to the floor, defeated and injured. Hiro meets with Peter for the first time, as Peter asks for Hiro to kill him, but before Hiro can carry out the request, Sylar sits up and throws Hiro into the air towards a building, forcing him to drop his sword. Hiro travels back in time as Sylar, now victorious, falls into unconsciousness while having visions of his victims, ending on himself. |
