Feet are things on the bottom of organisms; (Not all organisms though). There are five toes (claws) on each foot. Socks usually go on feet for warmth and comfortableness in shoes.

Cautionary Tales
Noah Bennet kidnaps Elle Bishop because Bob Bishop took Claire Bennet, so Noah uses Mr. Muggles' doggy bath to put Elle's feet in, so when she tries to use her ability, she gets shocked by her own electricity.

Brother's Keeper
When Tracy Strauss loses control of her ability, she freezes Claire Bennet. As she is trying to pull Claire's frozen body to a warm bath, she pulls her foot and it snaps off. Claire regenerates and grows a new foot, leaving the other one in plain sight for others to see, like Noah Bennet.
