A Petrelli-hug when someone does something based on trust but is then screwed over by the trustee.
- The name originates from the time Peter Petrelli gave his father a hug...then was drained of his powers.
Examples of Petrelli-hugs
- (Dying of the Light) - As mentioned above, Peter was massively Petrelli-hugged when he hugged his father and was stripped of his abilities.
- (A Clear and Present Danger) - Again, Peter was Petrelli-hugged when he hugged his brother and was captured by Danko's team.
- A Clear and Present Danger) - Mohinder Suresh was Petrelli-hugged when he was saved from Danko's team by Noah but then was captured by him instead.
Notes
- It may have been that Peter hugged his father and brother due to his Tele-Apathy.
