Template talk:NovelsCreatedInline
This is cool, but I don't think we need to list all of an artist's credits in a disambig page. In fact, I can think of nary a case in which we should list their full credits on a disambig page. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:57, 20 December 2007 (EST)
- It's not all of the credits, as you have to specify the type to only those things drawn (artby), written (storyby), colored (colorsby), or inked (inksby). I added this cause some of the disambigs were using the crew members pages as subtemplates, but if if it's decided not to use it, please move it to my userspace cause I want to save it in case others users (and possibly myself) want to add it to their userpage.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:06, 20 December 2007 (EST)
- See, I like the template a lot, and I don't really want to move it into the user namespace, personally. I don't think it should be used on disambig pages, but I also don't see any reason right now why we need to lose it. It's still useful, I'm just not sure where. After all, you worked hard on it, just as Jason Badower worked hard on , and a lot of other things. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:29, 20 December 2007 (EST)
- Ah, thanks. I just caught another bug (the italics work now). ;)--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:54, 20 December 2007 (EST)
- If I saw an immediate use for the template, I'd also say it'd be cool to have an "and" print between the last two novels, but I don't think that's necessary. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:59, 20 December 2007 (EST)

Counting
Not that it matters immediately, but I just added a count option and found out the count option in DPL isn't working correctly when used with include and includematch. Now I can say things like three of Jason Badower's works include ; but to do so requires me to use count=28. I saved an example in the sandbox here if you want to see if you can figure out why that is.--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:36, 20 December 2007 (EST)
English Lists
Is there already a template that converts lists to english format?--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:36, 20 December 2007 (EST)
- English format? I'm not sure I understand what you mean. And no, I don't think we have such a template. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:46, 20 December 2007 (EST)
- English list format (i.e. x1, x2, and x3); that's the term I've seen used in other program languages.--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:54, 20 December 2007 (EST)
- Ok, I've added an option to do english lists, which uses new Template:EnglishList. See above example. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:19, 21 December 2007 (EST)
