"Maudrey" is a fan-created word coined to describe the relationship between the two characters Matt Parkman and Audrey Hanson.

History

Don't Look Back

In Los Angeles, Officer Matt Parkman is helping secure a crime scene when he begins to hear a little girl's frightened voice. He follows the voice into the house and to a small hidden room under the stairs where the missing girl is hiding. FBI Agents Audrey Hanson and Elisa Thayer confront him about his discovery of the missing girl. Matt hears Agent Thayer's thoughts as she believes that he just got lucky. However, Audrey isn't as convinced. She asks if his anger at failing the detective exam would drive him to set himself up as a hero, and he tells her that Sylar is responsible, not him. Audrey tells him only six people even know Sylar's name and arrests him on spot.

One Giant Leap

At the FBI Headquarters, in an interrogation room, Audrey questions Matt about how he found Molly Walker, the little girl rescued from the crime scene, and how he knew the name "Sylar". Matt confesses that he's hearing people's thoughts. Audrey doesn't believe him. After he successfully reads Audrey's mind, "that nobody believes in her", she enlists him in the investigation.

Nothing to Hide

Audrey arrives at Matt's precinct and claims Sylar has killed again. At the morgue, she shows him the burned remains of Robert Fresco. She informs Matt they found a fingerprint seared to the bone, and the database finds a match to a Theodore Sprague. Matt and Audrey investigate Ted's house and find that most of things inside has suffered bad burns, and the bedroom shows dangerous levels of radiation. Matt doesn't doesn't believe Ted is the murder they are looking for. Matt finds methotrexate, an anti-cancer drug, in the bedroom prescribed to Ted's wife, Karen.

Matt and Audrey go to the hospital to visit Ted and Karen. Ted tells Audrey that he didn't mean to kill Dr. Fresco. He tells her they got into an argument and he lost control. Audrey tells him they're taking him in, and Ted threats them and grabs the nurse. Matt and Audrey draw their guns on him. He tells them to let him stay with his wife and he'll let the nurse go. When Matt begins to tell Karen's last thoughts to Ted, he lets go of the nurse and Karen peacefully passes away.

When Matt gets back to the station, Matt's friend, Tom McHenry lets him know that Matt will be able to retake the detective test oraly. Reading Tom's mind, Matt finds out he was having an affair with Matt's wife, Janice. Matt calls him an SOB and punches him.
