Nylar is really Sylar who was forced to take the form of Nathan with all his memories.
Character History
When Sylar killed Nathan, Angela didn't want Nathan's death to be known, especially since the assassin was an evolved human. Angela also knew the mess Nathan made could only be fixed be Nathan. The President would only drop the project with Nathan's consent. So she told Matt, to get inside Sylar's head while he was unconscious due to Peter's actions, and tell him that Sylar is dead, and he is really Nathan. He said he has all of Nathan's memories. Suddenly, Sylar starts having some sort of seizures, and begins to take the form of Nathan. When he wakes up he call for his "Ma", and has no idea who he really is. Six weeks later, he fixes a clock in his office, telling Angel, it was running a minute and a half, fast.
Evolved Human Abilities
Nylar possesses all of Sylar's abilities. He has only shown to use Intuitive Aptitude. There is some controversy over whether or not Sylar possesses the ability of Flight.
Notes
- Peter and Claire are unaware of Nathan's death, and his "resurrection".
Trivia
- Though Sylar appears to have Nathan's memories, Sylar is still in there.
