Liquefaction is the ability to transform solid matter into a liquid state without adding heat.

Characters

Zane Taylor had this ability. Sylar has stolen it.

Limits

Zane Taylor used his power to partially or completely liquify various objects in his house, including a lamp, a telephone, and a pot. Sylar was able to completely liquify a toaster.

Liquefaction requires some conscious effort; it does not automatically affect anything the person with the power touches. The maximum amount of mass that can be affected is unknown. Based on known demonstrations, the range of the power is very short.

Notes

You can see shadows and gaps under some of the "puddles" where they don't meet the tarp, and some of them have thick, rounded edges. This leads to some theorizing that after melting an object, it re-solidifies. This may change the definition of the power further, to "the ability to disassemble an objects molecular structure."
