Peter's ability is an as-yet not fully understood ability acquired by Peter after he injected himself with the genetic modification formula.
Initially, it granted him flight from his brother when he rescued him from the burning Pinehearst building. Since then, he was shown to be able to mimic Mohinder's ability and freezing.
Characters
- Peter Petrelli was granted this ability synthetically. (Dual)
Limits
By injecting himself with the genetic modification formula, Peter acquired an ability which allows him to duplicate the abilities of other evolved humans simply by touching them. He first demonstrated the ability when he flew his brother Nathan from the burning Pinehearst facility. In A Clear and Present Danger, he was shown to mimic Mohinder's ability by touching him. He later does the same thing with Tracy Strauss. Later, he suddenly manifests her power, causing the side of the plane to freeze off, taking down the plane.
Peter appears to require physical contact with a person to mimic their ability. He also appears to be able to hold only one ability at a time, losing access to his previous ability once he absorbs a new one.
