- Sylar has stolen this ability from Sue.
Limits
This ability allows the user to sense when someone speaks a lie. Limits are unknown at this time, but Sylar states the user feels a tingling sensation when told a lie. This seems to be a passive ability, as Sue could tell Sylar was lying even without having no reason to use her ability.
Selected Examples
- In Our Father, Sue Landers used this ability to determine that Sylar was not at her office to deliver something. She also senses that when he says he won't hurt her, he's lying.
- In the same episode, Sylar, after killing Landers, used this ability on an office worker in the elevator, as well as on Arthur Petrelli.
Memorable Quotes

"No... you're not."
- - Sylar, Sue Landers (Our Father)
"It does tingle a bit."
- - Sylar (Our Father)
