Ability supercharging is the ability to amplify other evolved human abilities.
Characters
- Paulette Hawkins had this ability.
- Ando Masahashi was granted this ability synthetically
Limits
Future Ando
In a possible future, Ando demonstrated the ability to discharge a powerful point-blank blast which supposedly killed Future Hiro.
Ando Masahashi
Ando injected himself with the Formula and appeared to shoot sparks from his hand, confirming he has obtained the ability. It appears to supercharge others abilities, such as Telepathy and Super speed. When Ando touched Matt, his Telepathy power was increased so much, he could hear every thought in the city. When touching Daphne, she moved so fast she went a few seconds back in time, long enough to witness herself running back in time.
Paulette Hawkins
Paulette had the ability to amplify other evolved human abilities by touch. She activated Lewis's ability against his will, causing him to produce various trees at an astonishing speed (The Kill Squad, Part 3).
It is unknown whether or not Paulette could amplify or affect passive abilities that don't require concentration to be activated, such as omnilingualism or adoptive muscle memory.
Examples
-
Ando supercharges...
-
...Hiro. (The Second Coming)
-
...allowing him to sprout more roots than normal...
-
...which cover the surrounding area with trees.
(The Kill Squad, Part 3) -
Lewis's plant manipulation is amplified, allowing him to become part of the trees.
(The Kill Squad, Part 3)
Notes
- Future Ando's demonstration of the ability appears similar in nature to electric manipulation. Whether or not the two abilities are related remains to be seen.
