Maya's power is an as-of-yet unnamed ability. The possessor of this ability secretes a black liquid from the eyes, and by means unknown, people in the immediate area die almost instantaneously, also secreting the black liquid from their eyes.
Characters
- Maya is the only character known to have this ability.
Limits
Maya uses this ability when under stress, especially when separated from her brother, seemingly having no control over it.
Alejandro's ability can reverse the effects, even bringing one killed back to life.

- Maya kills a group of coyotes. (Four Months Later).
- Maya kills her and Alejandro's guide across the border, but she is brought back by Alejandro. (Lizards).
