Limits
Austin has demonstrated the ability to completely heal serious injuries including a bullet wound that went all the way through a man's abdomen and a broken jaw. He has also shown the ability to heal injured organs, such as his mother's liver that suffered from cancer.
It is not currently known if Austin could have healed Dallas's injury if the bullet was still in the wound. It is also not known if he can heal his own injuries.
Austin apparently needs to be in physical contact with the sick or injured person -- touching the wound, if possible -- for at least several seconds to cause healing.
By his own admission, Austin can not "bring back the dead".
Examples
- Austin heals Dallas's bullet wound. (War Buddies, Part 2)
- Austin heals a Vietnamese soldier's broken jaw repeatedly. (War Buddies, Part 3)
- In a flashback, Austin cures his mother's cancer. (War Buddies, Part 3)
Notes
- It is unknown if Austin's healing power has limits similar to those of Claire Bennet's regeneration power.
