The Eidetic Memory power is the ability to recall images, sounds, or objects in memory with great accuracy and in seemingly unlimited volume. It also seems to include the ability to gain a complete understanding of the subject matter.
Characters
Charlie Andrews was the only known character to display this ability.
Sylar has not yet demonstrated this power, but he presumably killed Charlie to obtain it.
Limits
Charlie was able to remember everything she read since this power first manifested. She was also able to comprehend and use the knowledge gained almost immediately.
The limits of what a character with this power may remember are not yet known.
Examples
- Charlie Andrews learned to speak some basic Japanese, having only started reading her phrase book one week ago. (Seven Minutes to Midnight)
- Charlie learned both spoken and written Japanese in a matter of days after Hiro travelled back into the past and gave her a Japanese phrase book. (Six Months Ago)
