Enhanced smell (also referred to as enhanced olfaction) is the ability to detect scents beyond normal limits.

Enhanced smell first appears to be a passive ability which is always active, yet controllable. With some concentration, the user can isolate particular scents and track them with remarkable accuracy.
Adam has enough experience with his ability to track subjects from extremely large distances away, even after days at a time. He claims to be able to smell a person from across a continent, but it is unknown if he was simply embelishing this.(Nemesis)
Chemicals that are normaly undetectably by humans such as untreated natural gas can be easily identified.(Ill Wind Blowing)
It has been shown that characters who can shapeshift their forms still retain their original scent, and can be detected as imposters easily. Conversely, teleporters are difficult to track because of gaps in their trails, as shown when Adam could not find where Rachel Mills had been
