A Nosebleed often occurs when evolved humans strain to use their abilities beyond their normal limits.
Characters

Fallout
Matt gets a nosebleed and one word, "Sylar", when trying to use telepathy in the Haitian's presence.
Powerless
Peter gets a nosebleed when attempting to rip the steel vault open to get the Shanti virus.
Cautionary Tales
Angela gets a nosebleed when being interrogated by Matt.
Our Father
The Haitian gets a nosebleed when straining to contain the great powers of Arthur.
Dual
Eric Doyle gets a nosebleed when straining to overpower Sylar with his puppet mastery ability.
Notes
- While a nosebleed wasn't visible onscreen, Matt strained to the point of passing out, when trying to read the Haitian's mind in a LA bar.(One Giant Leap)
