The extent of Molly's powers may be greater. Molly was trained by [[The Company]] to locate other [[evolved humans]], so her gift for locating people has been developed. Molly may be able to locate non-living objects as well, but that aspect of her power, if it exists, has not yet been developed.

Clairvoyance

Molly locates people's positions on a map.
Held by: Molly Walker
Ability to: See and locate distant people
Examples of clairvoyance

Clairvoyance is the ability to discern people who are not in the observer's presence.

Characters

  • Molly Walker is the only character known to have this ability.

Limits

Molly can see visions of people by thinking about them. She can also see glimpses of what that person is doing.

Molly can locate any person upon whom she concentrates. She can then indicate the person's location on a map. She was able to pinpoint Matt's father to a specific room in an apartment building. Molly apparently needs to know what a person looks like before she locates them. However, Noah believed that she could find West without that information, giving only his name (Cautionary Tales).

The manner in which Molly uses her clairvoyant powers in The Kindness of Strangers suggests that she actually has an "out-of-body experience" while using her powers, although she is able to maintain consciousness in two places at once.

Molly was unable to find the late Alejandro, showing that she is unable to detect dead bodies (Powerless). It is unclear if she is unable to search for other non-living objects.

Selected Examples

Notes

  • It is not clear exactly how much Molly needs to know about a person to find that individual. In Powerless, she says that in order to search for Alejandro, she needs a picture of him or something she could use to think about him.
  • Chandra Suresh assembled a folder in the Genesis files about this power. He also wrote in his journal about a potentially clairvoyant woman he met in 1978.
