Enhanced synesthesia is the ability to visualize sound waves as colorful light waves and manipulate them into concussive blasts.

Characters

• Emma Coolidge is the only character known to have this ability naturally. (Ink)

Limits

Emma Coolidge

Emma has the ability to see a myriad of beautiful colors from prominent noises such as the shattering of a coffee mug and the notes coming from a cello played by someone else. (Ink)

Emma's ability can be used offensively by using loud enough sounds to shoot out concussive blasts of light. (Hysterical Blindness)

As an added effect, Emma seems to be able to "follow the lights" in order to produce beautiful or more skillful music then she is normally capable of. (Ink), (Hysterical Blindness), (Tabula Rasa). Emma is also able to move sound waves while time is frozen. The result of moving sound waves is unknown. (Tabula Rasa)

Peter Petrelli

Like Emma, Peter can see prominent noises, such as a trash can being kicked down, a children's choir and notes in a piano. (Hysterical Blindness)
