Underwater breathing is the ability to breathe underwater.
Characters
- Alex Woolsly is the only known character to have this ability.
Limits
Alex is capable of breathing underwater for an indefinite period of time. He used this ability to save a surfing accident victim from drowning, and he often uses this ability to win swimming events without pausing for breaths. (The Swimmer)
While breathing underwater, Alex extracts enough extra oxygen to sustain another person via "mouth to mouth" transfer for an unspecified period of time (Exposed).
Memorable Quotes
"I can breathe underwater."
"Like a..."
"Like a fish, yeah."
- - Alex, Claire (Building 26)
Notes
- Writer-producers Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite confirmed that Alex's ability is different from Bianca Karina's ability to breathe in any environment--Alex can only breathe underwater.
