| Examples of telekinesis | |
Telekinesis is the ability to move objects with the mind.
Characters
Brian Davis was the first character (chronologically) to demonstrate this ability.
Sylar began to demonstrate telekinetic abilities after murdering Brian.
Limits
Telekinesis requires active concentration.
Brian Davis had extremely limited telekinetic ability. With concentration, he was able to move a cup slowly across the surface of a table. Brian was afraid of his power, and never tried to develop it.
Sylar has demonstrated far more advanced telekinetic abilities. He can exert enough force to tear sheet metal, and he has enough control to cut off the top of a person's skull to expose the brain. Sylar has probably been actively developing his telekinetic abilities.
Examples
- Sylar allegedly impaled Mrs. Walker to the wall using household objects; no physical contact was detected. (Don't Look Back)
- Sylar pinned an FBI agent guarding Molly Walker against the wall using a chair. (One Giant Leap)
- At the FBI Headquarters, Sylar hurls Audrey backwards, then forces her to point a gun at herself. (One Giant Leap)
- Sylar was shot at by Matt but not injured, possibly a telekinetic evasion. (One Giant Leap)
- Sylar may have used this power to remove everything from his apartment. (One Giant Leap)
- Sylar moved a cup across a table in the Burnt Toast Diner. (Seven Minutes to Midnight)
- Sylar may have turned off the lights in the Union Wells locker room using telekinesis. (Homecoming)
- Sylar may have used this power to throw Claire off him, as the force appeared to be stronger than the capacity of a normal man. (Homecoming)
- Sylar pointed at Jackie Wilcox's head to slice her head open. (Homecoming)
- Sylar ripped doors off of metal lockers at Claire's school and threw them at Peter. (Homecoming)
- Brian moved a cup across a table in Gabriel Gray's watch repair shop. (Six Months Ago)
- At Chandra's apartment, Gabriel Gray (Sylar) moved a cup across a desk. (Six Months Ago)
- Sylar pulled Eden through the security glass of his cell. (Fallout)
