About Me

Hi, I'm Tristan. I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I have been a fan of Heroes since what was equivalent to the American hiatus after Parasite, equivalent to the airing of Homecoming in Australia, although I did watch the show before then. I am frequently annoyed by Seven, the Australian channel that airs Heroes, repeatedly changing the timeslot and being weeks behind. More on that below.

Heroes Australian Air Dates

Season One

Season One premiered on the 31st of January, 2006. It was aired Wednesdays 8.30. This continued for the whole of Season One, without a week off.

Season Two

Season Two was 'FastTracked' to Seven, on Thursdays 9.30. The premiere aired on the 4th of October, 2007. In America, it aired on September 24th. Then, Seven decided to call Cautionary Tales the season final. I suppose it kinda works, with the HRG resurrection cliffhanger and everything. But it was still annoying. Truth and Consequences and Powerless were aired back-to-back on August 6th, 2008, at 8.30.

Season Three

Season Three has changed timeslots three times now. The Second Coming and The Butterfly Effect aired together at 8.30 on October 9th, 2008. From One of Us, One of Them, to Angels and Monsters, episodes aired at 9.30. Dying of the Light, Eris Quod Sum, and now Villains, have aired at 10.30. We got the two-hour premiere within the same week America got Angels and Monsters. Now, for It's Coming, The Amazing Race and Bones, the two shows before Heroes, have moved down a half-hour each, reuslting in Heroes running from 11.00 to midnight.

Season One had huge ratings in Australia. Since then, it has had multiple timeslot changes and inconsistencies. Seven claims to be 'FastTracking' episodes, but some we get three weeks late. I know non-English countries get episodes months later, but they don't have channels claiming to have brand-new episodes aired hours ago. Rant ended.
