Jake grew up in Bournemouth England living a relatively normal life. He always felt like he could be someone special. When his ability manifested he felt like he could finally be somebody. At first he used his ability for personal gain but after he almost killed someone using a [[Freezing|seperate]] ability he started to gain control and started using it for good deeds.

Leckie and [[User:Cockney Heroes/Characters/Karl Hall|Karl]] are in [[User:Cockney Heroes/Places/Solitary Confinement|solitary confinement]], and [[User:Cockney Heroes/Characters/Irony|Irony]] and [[User:Cockney Heroes/Characters/Derek Simmonds|Derek]] joins them after a failed escape attempt. They explain some of their past to Irony and Derek, and they decide to escape the prison, along with other inmates. After their escape attempt proves successful, Leckie with Irony and Derek travel back to the [[User:Cockney Heroes/Places/Warehouse|the warehouse]], dealing with an [[User:Cockney Heroes/Characters/Tyler Venson|an evolved human]] who can emit EMPs. Leckie has shown that he can emit a seismic burst of energy. He has used this ability to weaken a door to escape solitary confinement.
Jake was first captured by HRG and Maarten after he manifested freezing and accidentaly killed a person. At fist The Company only thought his ability was freezing as they hadn't realised hat he could change it. This was why they decided to use Maarten and not The Haitian as [[Pyrokinesis|fire]] is a very good offensive weapon against freezing.

What they hadn't realised was that Jake had randomized and manifested [[Water mimicry]]. This was still good for the Company. They first found Leckie by accident when he was careless and used a credit card which helped them find out where he lived.
Leckie first noticed them when he saw HRG's glasses on the floor, having fallen off, he went to pick them up which was when they stepped out of the shadows. Leckie instantley turned his hands to water and used it against them as very powerful streams of water.
It was enough to incapacitate HRG but not Maarten who had ignited his hands and was using it against Leckie and eventually knocked him out. He was then taken to the Company holding facility in New York.

==Escape==
After Elle destroyed the security system Leckie escaped to mainstream New York and randomized but he manifested fire. This made him think of Maarten and got angry so he knocked himself out so he could randomize while he slept.
When he woke up he discovered that he had manifested [[Super speed]], he used this to run across the ocean to Bournemouth so he could go home.
When he got there he discovered that his family had been told he had died so he "ran" away to London. This was how he met the Cockney Heroes.

When he uses his ability he feels a tingling like a [[Lie detection]] user would.

When Leckie first manifested his ability he manifested it as [[Invisibility]] he used it to sneak out of his classroom, He used it to play pranks on people and get revenge on people he didn't like. After an hour he started to become visible again.

He has since manifested many other powers including: [[Lightning]], [[Flight]], [[Super speed]] and many others.

At first Leckie was only able to have an ability for 1 hour but with thime and practice he can now hold onto it as long as he needs.Leckie automatically knows what his new power is when he manifests a new one and straight away has very good control over it.

Also after he has used his randomization ability he has to wait 30 minutes before he can randomize again.

Leckie and Karl are in solitary confinement, and Irony and Derek joins them after a failed escape attempt. They explain some of their past to Irony and Derek, and they decide to escape the prison, along with other inmates. After their escape attempt proves successful, Leckie with Irony and Derek travel back to the the warehouse, dealing with an an evolved human who can emit EMPs. A handful of other escaped inmates seek refuge at the warehouse and Karl helps build them an underground bunker. However, Leckie is suddenly shot by Consuela's men, as they seek revenge on the escapees. When Derek manages to revive Leckie using electricity, Karl takes him to the hospital. He is soon rescued by Irony and Elizabeth, who turns him to sand, and the team head to the docks to prevent an incoming batch of drugs. They meet mysterious woman who tells them of their mission and Leckie and his friends battle Consuela, a defected Officer Bonkin, and Shark's gang, eventually coming out victorious.
