Chris Rowland was born and grown up in Chicago. When he was young, he found interest in computers. At the beginning he simply played computer games, until he wished to create one on his own. To accomplish it, he started learning programming languages one by one, perfecting his skills. Without having created a single computer game, he chose a new goal: websites. When Chris was 13, he made his first website, which he used to test his programming skills, and at the age of 14 he created a forum to discuss computer games. Chris was living a normal life, graduated from school and college and was employed as a systems administrator, and then he found out he had a special ability. It manifested when an ice cream in his hand suddenly melted. A week later, he heated a cup of coffee by touching it. Chris concluded he is different from normal people and was scared at first, but then he thought his ability is useful and unnoticeable.

Character History

Déjà Vu

Chris, one of the nine evolved humans that are kept in solitary confinement, attempt to escape the prison. Their first attempt is thwarted by Consuela and her glass tube system, but Karl manages to break out of his glass tube with his ability and free everyone. Then, Irony orders Michael Dunkirk to change Chris's ability so that it no longer requires physical touch. Then, Chris uses his ability to emit heat, which KC, under Irony's orders, transforms to radiation, which blows off the cell door. The group of escapees then encounter a guard, which Irony subdues using his own ability. After doing the same to Consuela herself, Chris, along with the others, break out of the prison safely.

Evolved Human Abilities

Chris has an ability of temperature manipulation, which allows him to increase or decrease temperature of the objects he touches. The ability requires physical contact since he must choose an object to heat or to cool. However, in Déjà Vu, Michael Dunkirk changed Chris's ability so that it no longer required physical touch.
